The preview panel displays thumbnail previews of all available pictures located in the
folder currently selected. You can select a single picture or more than one picture by hol­ding down the 'Control' key and clicking on the required pictures. Click on the 'Insert'
button to add the images to the P-Mail or simply drag and drop from Nikon View.

You can either type an email address directly into the field or click on the 'To…' or
'CC…' button next to the address field to select it from your address book. Clicking
on either of these buttons displays the Choose Address dialog. Each P-Mail should
have a subject name which identifies the P-Mail and acts as its title.

Once you have finished editing your P-Mail, you can make it ready to send by
selecting the 'Send' option from the 'File' menu of the P-Mail Edit Window.
Alternatively, click on the 'Send' toolbar icon.

The dialog contains two progress bars, the first shows the send status of the P-Mail
currently being sent and the second shows the send status of the whole batch of
P-Mails. Once sent, the P-Mails listed in the Outbox tab will be moved to the Sent tab.

Q: Will I receive any benefits by becoming a FotoShare user?
A: Yes. You will become a member of the Nikon community in your country,

and be able to take advantage of the many benefits of being a Nikon owner.

Q: What is the maximum number of pictures I can send in a P-Mail at once?
A: You can send a maximum of 20 pictures per P-Mail.

Q: How can the receiver save a picture from the P-Mail?
A: It's simple: the receiver needs to right click with the mouse on a picture

and choose "Save As".

Q: How long will the pictures be viewable on-line?
A: Each set of pictures will be available for 30 days only

P-Mails

Das Empfangen von FotoShare­E-Mails (P-Mails) ist völlig un­kompliziert. Die Empfänger
benötigen keine spezielle
Software, um die von Ihnen
gesendeten Bilder anzuzeigen,
sondern können sie einfach mit
ihrer gewohnten E-Mail-Anwen­dung abrufen. Empfangene P­Mails werden im Posteingang
der E-Mail-Anwendung ange­zeigt wie herkömmliche E-Mails.
Wenn der Empfänger eine P­Mail öffnet, sieht er Miniatur­ansichten der empfangenen
Bilder. Um eines der Bilder in
einer größeren Version anzu­zeigen, muss er lediglich auf das
gewünschte Bild klicken.

Dieses Dialogfeld enthält zwei Statusanzeigen: eine für den Versandstatus der aktuellen
P-Mail und eine für den Status des gesamten Sendevorgangs. Die gesendeten P-Mails
werden von der Registerkarte "Postausgang" auf die Registerkarte "Gesendet"
verschoben.

La boîte de dialogue contient deux barres de progression : la première indique la
progression du P-Mail en cours d'envoi et la seconde indique la progression de l'ensemble
des P-Mails. Une fois envoyés, les P-Mails figurant dans l'onglet "Boîte d'envoi" seront
transférés dans l'onglet "Éléments envoyés".

Wenn Sie die Bearbeitung einer P-Mail abgeschlossen haben, können Sie sie

Receiver’s
P-Mail

Receiving FotoShare e-mail
(P-Mail) is easy. Recipients don't
need any special software to
view the pictures that you've
sent - they can simply retrieve
them via their normal e-mail
application. The message will
appear in the email Inbox in
the same way as any other
e-mail. When the recipient
opens the P-Mail, they will be
able to see instantly small
previews of the pictures that
you've sent. If they would like
to see a larger version of a
particular picture, they can do
so by clicking on the individual
picture.

Nikon FotoShare is the easiest way to share digital pic­tures with your friends and family around the world.
All you need is this software and an Internet connection
to share up to 20 pictures at a time in seconds.
Simply write your message in the FotoShare e-mail
(P-Mail), add your pictures, type in the e-mail
address(es), and share. To install FotoShare software on
your computer now follow the instructions overleaf.

Mit Nikon FotoShare können Sie digitale Bilder völlig
unkompliziert mit Freunden und Verwandten in der
ganzen Welt teilen. Diese Software ermöglicht es Ihnen,
in Sekundenschnelle bis zu 20 Bilder auf einmal per
Internet bereitzustellen.

Step 2 below.

CD go to Step 1.

■ Insert CD, CD should Auto Run or if not Double Click on Install.exe

■ Choose Language for installation

■ Accept / Reject Software License Agreement

■ Select Folder on your hard drive for installation

■ Confirmation provided of folder in to which FotoShare

will be installed

■ Confirmation that FotoShare has been successfully installed

■ Now go to Step 3

Select 'New' from the 'File' menu or, from the P-Mail Overview Window, click on the
'New P-Mail' toolbar icon. A new P-Mail Edit Window will be opened into which you
should enter the email address(es) of the intended recipients, a subject name, your text
message and your pictures.

■ Starten Sie das Nikon Installationsprogramm.

■ Es wird eine Meldung zur Bestätigung des Installationsordners angezeigt.

■ Wenn FotoShare erfolgreich installiert wurde, wird eine entsprechende

Bestätigungsmeldung angezeigt.

■ Fahren Sie mit Schritt 3 fort.

■ Insérez le CD. Si le CD ne s'exécute pas automatiquement, double-cliquez sur

Install.exe.

■ Choisissez votre langue pour l'installation.

■ Acceptez/Refusez l'accord de licence du logiciel.

■ Sélectionnez le dossier de votre disque dur pour l'installation.

■ Confirmez le dossier dans lequel FotoShare sera installé.

Before attempting to add pictures, make sure that they are in a recognised format:
Bitmap, JPEG (EXIF), JPEG (JFIF), TIFF (without LZW compression). To add pictures select
the 'Insert->Picture' menu option or the 'Insert Pictures' toolbar icon to display the
'Select Pictures' dialog.

Stellen Sie vor dem Hinzufügen von Bildern sicher, dass sie ein unterstütztes Format
aufweisen, das heißt: Bitmap, JPEG (EXIF), JPEG (JFIF) oder TIFF (ohne LZW-Kompri­mierung). Um der P-Mail Bilder hinzuzufügen, wählen Sie die Menüoption "Einfügen-

■ Run the Nikon Install Center and select the 'Custom Install' tab.

■ Select 'Install' to start the installation process.

■ After the installation process is complete, you can start Nikon FotoShare by

double clicking on the desktop icon or by using Windows Start -> Programs
Menu.

Wählen Sie im Menü "Datei" den Befehl "Neu", oder klicken Sie in der Symbolleiste des
P-Mail-Übersichtsfensters auf die Schaltfläche "Neue P-Mail". Es wird ein neues P-Mail-
