Batter y Replacement:
Battery replacement must be performed by an authorized Nike service center to retain a valid warranty. In addition to
battery replacement, the service center will test movement, gaskets, water resilience and hardware, to further ensure
the long-term care of your watch.
Here's why.
Many of our watch designs use special gaskets that create a water tight seal between the back plate
and the watch case. The greatest risk of changing the battery yourself, or having a jeweler do it,
is that this gasket will not be replaced properly. In this case water damage can occur. In addition to ensuring
that your watch is water tight, our service centers will clean the components and replace damaged parts.
Customer feedback on the price, duration and headache of this process has prompted us
to start putting user serviceable battery hatches in our watches whenever possible.
