NETGEAR ProSafe Smart Switches ﬁll the gap between unmanaged and fully managed switches. The family of ProSafe Smart Switches is designed for growing businesses that want control over their network without the cost and complexity of a full Layer 2/Layer 3 management implementation. This second generation Smart Switch, FS726T, with affordable built-in gigabit power, easily connects to servers or a Gigabit-speed backbone for a non-stop 10/100/1000-enabled network that can quickly deliver large multimedia, image, and video ﬁles. With the utility of 24 10/100 Mbps ports, 2 copper 10/100/1000 Mbps ports and an SFP slot for optional ﬁber connectivity, growing business networks, classrooms and workgroups can beneﬁt from superior performance and keep up with expanding network needs. This highperformance switch features a non-blocking wire-speed architecture with an 8.8 Gbps switching capacity for maximum data throughput. All 26 RJ-45 ports automatically negotiate to the highest speed and support Auto Uplink™ technology to make the right link.

In addition, an intuitive, Web-browser interface offers the simple Smart Switch management, making it a snap to monitor switch performance, conﬁgure ports, even set up port trunks, VLANs, and trafﬁc prioritization. Alternatively, use SNMP-based software to manage your Smart Switch. Shipped ready for use straight out of the box, it delivers switching that’s easy to set up and use. NETGEAR ProSafe Smart Switches are ideal for adding basic management to your unmanaged networks and extending your managed networks.

Two RJ-45 copper Gigabit ports and an SFP slot for optional ﬁber make it possible to create high-speed connections to a server or network backbone whether it’s nearby or far away, Auto-Negotiation on each port senses the link speed of a network device (either 10, 100, 1000 Mbps) and intelligently adjusts for compatibility and optimal performance.

Web-based Smart management features include performance monitoring, port conﬁguration, VLAN for trafﬁc control, port trunking for increased bandwidth, and Class of Service (CoS) for trafﬁc prioritization.

LEDs on the front panel make switch status easy to observe and troubleshooting easy to accomplish. Use as an unmanaged switch for plug & play operation or use the Smart Wizard to easily access the intuitive web-based management features.

Made to last, this durable switch is housed in a 17” metal box and is backed by a lifetime warranty. Comes complete with a rack mounting kit. Works with Windows, Macintosh O/S, Linux and Netware Operating systems.
