For demanding home and small business users wanting quality and
performance from their broadband hardware, the ideal choice is NetComm’s
PerformaPlus NB8W modem router. The NB8W utilises an advanced
BroadCom chipset providing a more robust integrated solution, with the latest
ADSL2+ broadband technology and a comprehensive range of router, wireless
and security features. It really delivers performance plus.
For added versatility, the NB8W includes a USB port, four 10/100 Ethernet
switch ports and an 802.11g wireless access point making connection easy
for both wired and wireless users. To further boost Internet performance, the
NB8W supports up to 8 continuous virtual connections ( PVC’s) allowing for
multiple simultaneous Internet connections.
Security is a key element in the NB8W with active firewall technology
(SPI/ DoS, packet filtering, parental and access control) and a host of Wireless
security features including WEP, WPA and 802.1 x authentication.
The NB8W introduces a Layer 3 QoS (Quality of Service) feature that gives
you control over which types of outgoing data are given priority by the Router.
For example, you can give priority to voice packets instead of data, making the
NB8W ideal for use with VoIP.
