IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be
followed, including the following:
1. READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS.
2. Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
3. To protect against electrical shock and personal injury, do not immerse this
appliance, including cord and plug, in water or other liquid.
4. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near
children.
5. Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool
completely before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning.
6. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the
appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner. To avoid
hazards, return appliance to NESCO
examination, repair or adjustment.
7. The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the manufacturer

16. Do not remove the kettle from base station until it is switched OFF, either
manually or automatically.
17. Remove kettle from base station before lling or pouring.
18. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with
reduced physical sensory or mental capabilities, unless they have been
given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person
responsible for their safety.
19. This appliance is intended for use in household and similar applications
such as: staff kitchen areas in shops, ofces, farm houses, and bed/breakfast

Polarized Plug: This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than
the other). To reduce risk of electric shock, plug is intended to t into polarized
outlet only one way. If the plug does not t fully into the outlet, reverse the
plug. If it still does not t, contact a qualied electrician. Do not try to modify
the plug in any way.
Short Cord Instructions: A short power supply cord is provided to reduce
the risk resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.
Extension cords may be used if care is exercised in their use. If an extension
cord is used, the marked electrical rating of the cord should be at least as great
as the electrical rating of the appliance. The longer cord should be arranged so
that it will not drape over the tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or
tripped over unintentionally.

Parts
HINGED LID: For easy lling, cleaning and storage, the lid is hinged and can be opened
with a push of a button. Lid is attached and cannot be removed.
LID RELEASE LEVER: Thumb-action control opens the lid with the gentle press of the
release for easy cleaning and lling.
STEAM CONTROL: Located permanently on the inside of the unit, controls the
operation of the appliance by sensing the precise moment to turn off the power when
water is at boiling temperature. Prevents dry boiling that can cause mineral buildup.
SPOUT: Large opening for easy lling and pouring.
REMOVABLE FILTER: Depending on the hardness of your water, scale particles may
remain suspended in the water. The lter will prevent these particles from entering your
drink. It is important to keep the lter clean, so we made it easy to remove.
WATER LEVEL MARKINGS: Always ll kettle with cold water between the minimum
and maximum levels.
POWER ON LAMP: The lamp will turn on indicating the kettle is heating and will turn
off when heating cycle is complete.
ON/OFF SWITCH: Simply press the lever to begin heating cycle, kettle will
automatically turn off when heating cycle is complete. Switch can be manually turned off
at any time during the heating cycle by ipping switch upwards.
BASE STATION w/ CORD STORAGE: Allows the kettle to be placed on the base in
360° rotation, giving you the exibility to position the base anywhere on the counter.
Underneath the base station you can wrap the cord for easy storage and adjust the length
to meet your needs.

Before using your Water Kettle the rst time!
Read all Important Safeguards and Operating Instructions before using the rst time.
Remove all packing materials from the Kettle and Base Station. Keep packing until you
are fully satised that product is working correctly.
Fill kettle with cold water to the maximum level and boil, discard water and repeat.
Wipe all surfaces with clean soft towel or sponge.

Operating Instructions
1) Unwrap cord and place base station on a sturdy and at surface. Connect to electrical
outlet.
2) Open the kettle lid by pressing the release button on the handle. Fill with cold water
to the desired level between the minimum and maximum levels for proper and safe

operation of the kettle.
CAUTION:
• Do not overll past the maximum level. Boiling water may spill out during
heating and cause severe injury.
• Never ll the kettle with anything other than water.
• Do not add instant soup or use to thaw food.
3) Close lid.
4) Place kettle onto base station. Be sure kettle is securely placed, it should be at and
center.
5) Gently press the ON/OFF switch downward. The blue indicator lamp will turn on and
the heating cycle will begin.
6) When the water comes to a boil the kettle will turn off automatically, the ON switch
will move downward and blue light will turn off indicating the heating cycle is
complete.
7) Lift the kettle by the handle and slowly tilt to pour water from spout into cup.
8) When disconnecting plug from electrical outlet, always turn off the kettle or lift kettle
from base station. Always grasp the plug when removing from electrical outlet.
Care and Cleaning Instructions
• Always unplug base station cord before cleaning.
• Make sure kettle has cooled.
• Clean the exterior surfaces with clean, damp, soft cloth or sponge.
• Never use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
• Rinse out kettle and gently wipe interior surfaces with lint-free cloth.
• Only the water lter is removable from inside the kettle. All other parts are permanent.
• Never try to operate kettle with the lid open. Always close lid.
• Do not leave standing water in the kettle. Always discard unused water and dry interior
surfaces when not in use.
• It is normal to see the stainless steel cover of the heater at the bottom of the kettle to
change color after use.
• If your water has high iron content brownish stains may appear on the heater plate
cover and can be removed with cloth and mild abrasive cleaner.
DECALCIFICATION: Boiling water can leave behind harmless, white calcium deposits
inside the kettle and mainly on the stainless steel heater cover.
• Use a commercially available de-calcifying agent and follow instructions on product.
• If the kettle switches off before water is boiling, it probably needs to be de-calcied.
• Frequency of de-calcifying will depend on hardness of water and number of uses.
