USE AND CARE INSTRUCTIONS
CAN OPENER
MODEL: GS4500
PLEASE NOTE: To get the maximum life and most efficient operation of your equipment, please comply with all the instructions
stated below. Clean the equipment thoroughly before the first use and after each use thereafter. Avoid using cleaners that are
high in alkalinity as they may dull, discolor, or pit the castings.
SAFETY NOTE: The blade on this piece of equipment is VERY SHARP. Use extreme caution when using and handling this piece of
equipment.
OPERATION:
1. Position the can on top of the base with the lip of the can touching the can opener.
2. Lift the handle of the can opener to a vertical position. Line up the cutting knife on the inside lip of the can.
3. Forcefully push the cutting knife down through the lid of the can.
4. Push the handle down so it is parallel to the top of the can. Begin turning the handle to open the can.
5. Pull the can opener up and remove the can.
6. Safely remove the lid from the can being sure to avoid touching sharp edges of the can or lid.
CLEANING:
1. Wash or spray off the entire can opener after use.
2. Use a brush to clean the area around the cutting knife and gear.
3. Allow equipment to air dry.
4. Occasionally lube the gear by applying a food safe oil.
