FCC Information
1. Use the attached specified cables with the MultiSync sound bar so as not to interfere with radio and television reception. (1) Please use the supplied power cable or equivalent to ensure FCC compliance. (2) Use of other cables and adapters may cause interference with radio and television reception.
2. This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy, and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures:
• Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
• Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.
• Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected.
• Consult your dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.
If necessary, the user should contact the dealer or an experienced radio/television technician for additional suggestions. MultiSync sound bar Quick Start
1. Turn off the power switch to your monitor.
2. Place the outlet cable and supplied audio cable under the hook which is on the MultiSync sound bar (Figure 2). Connect the sound bar under the monitor with two screws. If you are using the 18 inch monitor, you connect the outside two holes (Figure 3). If you are using the 15 inch monitor, you use inside two holes with two brackets (Figure 4).
3. Connect the audio cable to the jack on the back of the sound bar and the other end to the “Audio out ” terminal of the computer. NOTE: Headphones may be connected to the “Headphones” output on the front of the MultiSync sound bar. Headphones can be purchased from your local electronics store.
4. Disconnect the power cord from your monitor and connect it to the inlet cable from MultiSync sound bar (Figure 5-Figure 6).
5. Connect the outlet cable from the MultiSync sound bar to your monitor. Do not connect the cable to another device.
6. Turn on the monitor and the MultiSync sound bar.
Troubleshooting
LED on “MultiSync sound bar” is not lit
• Power switch should be in the ON position.
• AC Inlet cable and power cord should be connected.
No sound
• Check to see if audio cable is properly connected.
• Check volume setting.
• (No sound on speaker): Check to see if headphone is not connected.
• (No sound on headphone): Check to see if headphone is properly connected.
Safety Instruction
Do not open this unit. There are no user serviceable parts inside and opening or removing covers may expose you to dangerous shock hazards or other risks. Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. Check the stability of the LCD monitor after installing the MultiSync sound bar. The LCD monitor, with the MultiSync sound bar installed, should not overbalance when tilted in any direction to an angle of 10 degrees from its normal upright position. Follow the other safety instruction and the other notice that the user’s manual of the LCD monitor instructs.
