Entering Text Using the Dial Keys

Key input into text fields is similar to that of a mobile phone. The number pad provides both numeric input as well as alpha input. The INASET SDK handles the functionality automatically for a text field that has focus.
NOTE
There are three modes of data entry:
•Numeric
• Uppercase
•Lowercase The user can toggle between uppercase, lower case, and numeric mode
by repeatedly pressing the “#” key. An application can explicitly enable an input field to the numeric mode via the INASET R2. Depending on the mode, the user can proceed through the characters by repeatedly pressing the key. A pause of more than 1.5 seconds between key presses will cause the cursor to advance to the next input position.
Tab le 5-2 through Tab le 5 -4 provide summaries of the key inputs based on the
input mode.
The * key (asterisk) is used to step through special characters in the following order for both the uppercase and the lower case mode:

INASET Helper

What is INASET Helper?

INASET Helper is a upload utility allowing you to upload a dialing directory to your INASET R2. Any file to be uploaded must be a TAB or comma delimited file with the name in the first column and the number in the second column.
The dialing directory file can be created using the Microsoft Excel application, then saved as a comma or tab delimited file. You can also export a contact list from Outlook by choosing to export the name and number fields only to a comma or tab delimited text file.
