This section contains advisories on the disk drive carrier, RAID configuration drivers, and on-board Adaptec controllers.
When installing or removing a hard disk drive it is
recommended that its carrier handle be left in a straight outward position, until either the c arrier is fully seated in its connector or removed from the drive bay. To move a hard disk driv e in or out of a bay the outside edges of the carrier's front panel should be used.

RAID

The follow ing adviso ry applies to M C2200 systems that include th e NEC SecuRAID 210 ( Mylex® Ac celeRAID™
250) RAID Contro ller: If your system includes the NEC SecuRAID 210
(Mylex AcceleRAID 250) RAI D controlle r, the OS/ 2 RAID driver is located on the E CD-ROM in "DAC960 Software Kit V1.07 for O S/2."
The GAM client and server version for OS/2 is
V2.11.
If your EXPRESSBUILDER is Version 2.4, you can get a later version of the OS/2 software from your vendor.

On-Board Adaptec Controllers

If you are running OS/2 and disable the onboard
Adaptec 7880 con troller, th e OS/2 Adaptec dr iver will display the followin g message whe n started: "Error: Adapter not su pport by this v ersion of the driver (C0103083h)". This me ssage can be ig nored. It is caused by the driv er not being able to in itialize the 7880 contr oller because it is disabled, but not because the driver doesn't support it. It doesn't effect the initialization of the o nboard Adaptec 7860 controller.
