Installing Drivers
Windows 2000 and Windows NT 4.0 Operating Systems
NEC has provided validated SecuRAID drivers for your operating system. The drivers required for the SecuRAID 112 (Mylex AcceleRAID 160) are located on the EXPRESSBUILDER CD that is included with your system. To create the required driver diskettes, perform “Custom Setup” on the EXPRESSBUILDER CD. Select the AcceleRAID 352 driver that is appropriate for your operating system.
Note:
When installing the SecuRAID drivers on systems running Windows 2000 Operating System, a message indicating the driver is “unsigned” may display. Disregard this message and continue loading the driver.
Novell NetWare
Use the enclosed diskette labeled Mylex 160/352 NetWare Drivers to install SecuRAID 112 (Mylex AcceleRAID 160) drivers.

Checking the Hard Disk Drive Model Number and Firmware Revision Level
When any of the following disk drives are attached to the SecuRAID 112 (Mylex AcceleRAID 160) controller, their transfer speed may be restricted to 80MB/sec if their SCSI firmware is below the minimum revision shown:

Firmware
Revision
The SCSI interface transfer rate and the drive model and firmware revision can be determined by using the Mylex RAID EZAssist, accessed by typing ALT/R during system POST, or by using t he Mylex GAM utility. If your drive does not meet the minimum firmware revision shown in the above table, set the drive transfer rate to 80MB/sec and call your service representative. Refer to the Mylex documentation for more information.
