This Sport Cage Kit Part # WCK100 fits 1987-1995 Jeep® YJ Wrangler vehicles. It will fit with hard top ( Except
Steel Horse Targa Top ), or soft top, full hard doors or half hard doors. It uses two curved bars to attach to the
factory roll bar in place of the stock horizontal bars that attach to the windshield frame. The cross bar connects the
left & right side bars together just behind the windshield frame. This Sport Cage comes ready to bolt together. The
cross bar slips over the stubs and is secured with bolts. All necessary hardware is provided. This Sport Cage has
been designed to be as easy to install as possible. The following tools are required for installation: 1/8” & 3/8” drill
bit & power drill, #20 Torx, #40 Torx, #45 Torx, #50 Torx (tamper proof), Ratchet, 9/16” socket & wrench, 5/8 socket.
M.O.R.E.™ has Options available which can be added at any time. The Frame Tie-In Kit (# WCK101) will add to the
rigidity of the cage, however, it requires welding to the frame. It uses a polyurethane body bushing between the
sheet metal floor and the “outrigger”.
You can add an additional Center Bar (or bars) to your cage if you desire. They make a great location for mounting a
C.B. radio, or stereo. The Center Bar Kit (# WCK375) bolts in, no welding or (#WCK325) requires welding. Add as
many as you like, usually two are installed.
Covered padding is available for the Sport Cage in several different lengths.
Please call M.O.R.E.™ for these add-on items or check them out on the web at www.mountainoffroad.com.
THIS SPORT CAGE IS A DECORATIVE ITEM DESIGNED FOR APPEARANCE PURPOSES
ONLY. DO NOT RELY ON IT AS PROTECTION FROM VEHICLE ROLLOVER. WEAR YOUR
SEAT BELT AT ALL TIMES. READ YOUR OWNERS MANUAL ON PROPER VEHICLE OPERATION.

M.O.R.E.™ recommends pre-fitting this Sport Cage into your Jeep® BEFORE you paint it. Make sure that you can
make it fit and that you are happy with all aspects of it. If you are, then paint it and re-install it. Once you modify it in
any way, it is NON-RETURNABLE !!!
1. Remove top.
2. UN-zip roll par padding cover. Note: On weathered zippers it is a great idea to lubricate the zippers with
silicone spray to ease their operation.
3. If equipped with a sound bar, remove the 6 bolts and electrical connector and remove it. Retain the hard-
ware for later re-installation.
4. Remove padding from the main hoop of the factory roll bar.
5. Remove the #40 Torx bolts securing the factory horizontal bars to the windshield frame. Note: It may be
necessary to loosen or remove the sun visor #20 Torx bolts.
6. Loosen the #50 tamper proof Torx bolts (on top rear of the factory horizontal bars).
7. While holding the factory horizontal bar, remove the #50 Torx bolt (rear of factory roll bar) securing it to the
roll bar and remove both horizontal bars.
8. Transfer the padding and inner connector stubs from the factory horizontal bars to the M.O.R.E.™ Sport
Cage side bars; retaining the same orientation of the connector stubs, re-install the #50 tamper proof Torx bolts and
leave them loose at this time. Note: Side padding will need to be shortened 2-3 inches for proper fit. If sound bar
equipped, you may cut at rear with scissors as it is covered. With out sound bar, you may wish to have it professionally shortened and re-stitched.
9. Install the “L” brackets (Sport Cage to windshield frame mounts) using #40 Torx bolts (and soft top brackets
if so equipped) removed in step 5. Hint: the soft top brackets slide between the windshield and “L” brackets. Some
folks leave the “L” brackets off to enable them easy access to fold the windshield down. It will not affect the rigidity of
the cage to omit them.
10. Fold carpet in approximately 12 inches on each side to gain access for mounting Sport Cage foot plates.
11. Install Sport Cage side bars (left & right) using #50 Torx bolts removed in step 7. Snug but do not tighten at
this time.
12. You may wish to cover the seats (or remove them and their brackets from the floor) for this step, to protect
them from drill chips. Install the Sport Cage Cross Bar by spreading the side bars. Position the Cross Bar and the
side bars so they are centered in the “L” brackets on the windshield frame. Using a ratchet strap, rope or some
method of tensioning the left & right side bars, “pull” the side bars together to tension the Cross Bar into position.
Using a 3/8 bit in a power drill, bore a hole through the Cross bar and through the stub that is pre-welded on the left
& right side bars. See figures 1 A & B. Install the 3/8” x 2-1/4” hex head bolt up through the hole and install a flat
washer and acorn nut on the top of the “L” bracket. See figure 2. Leave the bolts loose at this time.
13. Center the Sport Cage into position using folded cardboard shims to maintain uniform distance on both
sides of vertical Sport Cage bars and the outside of dash and inside of door.
14. After insuring optimum position, drill the sheet metal floor of the Jeep®, using the pre-punched holes in the
foot plate as a guide. Install eight 3/8” x 1-1/4” bolts, with flat washers and Crimp-Loc nuts on the under side.
Tighten all bolts at this time.
15. Re-install factory padding and covers, sound bar and top. Note: If sound bar equipped, you will need to drill
four 13/64” holes and tap them with a 1/4-20 NC tap to fasten sound bar to Sport Bar side bars. The sound bar will
work with this cage but will be high in the center! Please call us if you have any questions.
