INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS for JKESP07

HARDWARE KIT:

1– Evap. Skid Plate
1– 7/16”-14 x 2-3/4”

2- 7/16 Flat Washer
1– 7/16-14 Lock Nut

Please read and understand all instructions before beginning the installation of the Evap. Skid
Plate. Please read the terms and policies on the back of these instructions.

The JKESP07 Skid Plate is designed to fit the following Jeep® vehicles: 2007-2009 JK Wran­glers.

STEP 1: Set parking brake before crawling under vehicle.

STEP 2: Remove hose connector on backside of the Evap. Canister ( only remove the

hose closet to the Drivers side and be careful not to break the plastic nipple) See
Figure 1

STEP 3: Remove all three bolts that attach the canister to the chassis being careful to
support the canister once all the bolts are removed. See Figure 2

STEP 4: Install the New Skid Plate over the evap. Canister and start all the original bolts

that you removed in Step 3 but do not tighten. See Figure 3

STEP 5: Install the 7/16-14 x 2-3/4” bolt, washers and nut from the top using flat washers
under the head and nut. See Figure 4 Tighten all the bolts.

STEP 6: Reinstall the hose through the hole in the skid plate and back onto the evap.
Canister ( Apply some lube on hose for easier installation) . See Figure 5
