The lightning flash with arrowhead symbol, within an equ ilateral triangle, is intended to alert the user to the presence of uninsulated “dangerous voltage” within the product’s enclosure that may be of sufficient magnitude to constitute a risk of electric shock to persons.
The exclamation point, within an equilateral triangle, is intended to alert the user to the presence of important operating and maintenance (servicing) instructions in the literature accompanying the appliance.
This installation should be made by a qualified service person a nd should c onform to all local codes.

Federal Communications Commission Radio and Television Interface Statement for a Class ‘B’ Device
This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules. INTRODUCTION

Congratulations on receiving your state-of-the-art QIP2500 Digital Set­top Terminal. The QIP2500 brings unsurpassed digital audio and video quality to your TV viewing and enables electronic program guide (EPG) menus that make selecting and viewing programs convenient and easy. It’s simple to set up and easy to operate. Based on local services, you can purchase Pay-Per-View special events and recent movies via Video­on-Demand (VOD). VOD is similar to renting a video, including the ability to pause, rewind, and fast-forward.
This guide introduces you to the features and operation of the QIP2500. The EPG provides access to the QIP2500 features.
To get the most out of your QIP2500, be sure to read your EPG instruction manual or other literature supplied by your service provider.
Your QIP2500 includes or supports the following features:
Superior all-digital video and sound experience
On-screen graphics to support Electronic Program Guide (EPG)
Extended services support, including Pay-Per-View (PPV) and Video-on-
Demand (VOD)
Remote control (supplied by your service provider)
Parental control (using EPG)
Favorite channel recall (using EPG)
USB 1.1 connectivity (depending on local service offering)

INTRODUCTION

Front Panel

The QIP2500 front panel has 11 keys and an LED display. Use the keys to perform basic functions, such as changing channels and turning the set-top on and off. Display the current channel or time of day on the LED display by changing the default settings in the electronic program guide.
