3342N ADSL2+ USB Mini Modem is the ideal solution for consumers who want to upgrade easily and inexpensively from dial­up to broadband DSL. Easy-to-follow on-screen and printed instructions make installation simple and painless.
The self-installing Mini Modem is designed specifically for single-PC households. Simply connect it to a USB port on a Windows
®
XP™ or Vista™ computer, and Windows launches a self­contained, flash-based installation wizard.
The ultra-compact Mini Modem is powered by the computer, eliminating the need for an external power supply. Its full-featured software is completely self-contained on the the modem for ease of use and simplicity. For quick Internet surfing, the Mini Modem intelligently configures Internet Explorer* browser settings to accommodate the change from dial-up to broadband.

The Mini Modem supports a firewall and VPN. Compliance with the DSL Forum’s TR-069 remote management specification ensures comprehensive remote manageability.
In addition to simplifying installation, the Mini Modem’s intelligent software features reduce the cost of ongoing customer support. One-click diagnostics make customer self-support intuitive, easy, and fast. The built-in Point-to-Point Protocol over Ethernet (PPPoE) client eliminates licensing costs and reduces the support burden usually created by PPPoE client installation on home computers.
