DESCRIPTION
The SYN7875 Inductive Neckloop is an accessory designed for use
with Motorola’s iDEN
®
and cellular portable phones.
GENERAL
When used with a T-coil-equipped hearing aid, the neckloop provides
audio to the hearing aid and enables hands-free use of wireless phones.
Note: Your hearing aid must be switched to T-mode or MT-mode.
The neckloop includes a break-away connector that facilitates placing
and removing the neckloop around the neck. A battery charger for
your neckloop is also included.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION
Read this information before using.
Pacemakers
The Health Industry Manufacturers Association recommends that a
minimum separation of six (6”) be maintained between a wireless
phone’s antenna and a pacemaker to avoid potential interference with
the pacemaker. These recommendations are consistent with the
independent research by and recommendations of Wireless
Technology Research.
Persons with pacemakers:
• should ALWAYS keep the phone more than six inches from their
pacemaker when the phone is turned ON

• should turn the phone OFF immediately if you have any reason to
suspect that interference is taking place
Other Medical Devices
If you use any other personal medical device, consult the manufacturer
of your device to determine if it is adequately shielded from external
RF energy.
Your physician ma y be ab le to assist y ou in obtaining this information.
Turn our phone OFF in health care facilities when any regulations
posted in these areas instruct you to do so. Hospitals or health care
facilities may be using equipment that could be sensitive to external
RF energy.

POTENTIALLY EXPLOSIVE ATMOSPHERES
Turn off your radio product when you are in area with a potentially
explosive atmosphere, unless it is a radio product type especially qualified for such areas (for example, F actory Mutual Appro v ed). Sparks in
a potentially explosive atmosphere can cause an explosion or fire
resulting in bodily injury, or even death.
The areas with potentially explosive atmospheres referred to above
include fueling areas such as: below decks on boats; fuel or chemical
transfer or storage facilities; areas where the air contains chemicals or
particles such as grain, dust or metal powders; and any other area
where you w ould normally be advised to turn off y our v ehicle engine.
Areas with potentially explosiv e atmospheres are often, but not al w a ys
posted.

BATTERIES
Do not replace or charge batteries in a potentially explosive atmosphere. Contact sparking may occur while installing or removing
batteries and cause an explosion.
PREPARING THE ACCESSORY FOR USE
Battery Charging
Your neckloop’s battery is shipped in an uncharged state with a
protective cover unit. To begin using your neckloop, slip the battery
out of its protective cover, charge it overnight using the included
battery charger (see charger instruction sheet for battery charger
operation), then install the battery in the neckloop.
After initial charging, the battery can be charged in 1-2 hours.

The LED will display a pulsing yellow when the battery is low. The
yellow pulse rate is approximately 1/4 second on, 2 seconds off. If the
LED pulses yellow, remove the battery at your earliest convenience
and charge it using the included Motorola battery charger.

2. Press the side with the release latch down until you feel it click
into place.
To remove the battery:
1. Pull the release latch back toward the battery and lift the battery out.
Temperature. Batteries should be at or near room temperature when
charging. To prolong battery life and charge capacity, avoid exposing
your batteries to temperatures below -10˚ C (14˚ F) or above 45˚ C
(113˚ F). It is a good idea to take your phone and neckloop with you
when you leave your car.
Inactivity. New batteries, or batteries that have been stored for long
periods of time, may not rapid charge properly. In these instances, the
battery requires an overnight charge.
