Motorola HMAD8000 QUICK START GUIDE

Introduction

Congratulations on your purchase of the Motorola homesight™ siren accessory. Your siren will work with any homesight device in conjunction with a triggered event. When your system is armed, the Wireless Siren provides a piercing audible alarm in response to an event detected by other sensors in your system (for example, if the back door is opened in the middle of the night). It will even provide audible feedback (a chirp) when a sensor is triggered, as well as a visible strobe light. This Quick Start Guide describes how to set up and troubleshoot your homesight siren accessory.

Controlling Your Siren

Using your computer and Wireless System Controller, you use the Siren to react to specific events that are triggered by other homesight devices.

How It Works

The Siren accessory enables you to signal an audible alert to an event being monitored. If, for example, you are monitoring an area for motion and this is detected, the siren can be configured to sound when the area event takes place. In this example, the motion sensor is triggered, the information relayed to the Wireless System Controller, which activates the siren to sound, alerting you to the event audibly.
