Filters
It is important that the pleated filter is clicked clean each time the dust canister is emptied to maintain suction. Regularly remove and wash the pleated filter, thoroughly dry before re-fitting. The spare filter allows one filter to be washed whilst the other is in use. (See page 5).
Blockages
Check nozzles, tubes and hose and dust canister connector for blockages. (See page 7).
Safety cut-out
Both the suction and beater bar motors are protected by safety cut-outs. See page 7 for more details. If these operate it is important to unplug from the main supply before attempting any remedial action.
Allergy Sufferers
If the allergy suffer is emptying the product it is recommended that the container is placed into a plastic bag to empty. Place the container inside the plastic bag, releasing the container with one hand whilst holding the top of the bag closed with the other, leave the dust to settle for a few seconds before removing the canister. The plastic bag can then be sealed and disposed of.

HINTS AND TIPS
Safety cut-out
(Suction motor)
If the cleaner overheats a motor protection thermostat will automatically switch the motor off. If this happens, switch the cleaner off, unplug from the power supply and leave the cleaner to cool for at least 60 minutes. Check the airways for blockages, empty dust canister and clean the filters before restarting.
Safety cut out
(beater bar motor)
If a large item or rug edge etc jams the beater bar a safety cut-out will stop the beater bar motor. If this happens switch off the cleaner and unplug from the mains supply. Clear the obstruction then wait a few minutes for the cut-out to reset before restarting.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Unplug from the mains before cleaning. The vacuum cleaner, especially the dust compartment and all accessories can be cleaned using a damp cloth or a nonabrasive cleaner and wiped dry.
Blockages
If the performance has deteriorated there may be a blockage. Check the hose tube and nozzles. The dust canister connector may be removed for access to the air path by pressing the button (top and bottom) N. When re-fitting make certain the catches are fully locked in place.
The floor nozzle tube may also be disconnected at the upper end to clear any blockages. Rotate the bayonet connector and pull down to disconnect O.
Purchasing replacement filters
Use only original Morphy Richards filters. These can be purchased from Morphy Richards on Replacement parts line.
