Care & Cleaning
WARNING: Always disconnect the plug from the mains
and allow your kettle to cool before cleaning.
Wipe the outside with a damp cloth.
IMPORTANT: Do not use abrasive cleaners on the
outside of the kettle as this may scratch the surface.
Descaling
IMPORTANT: As this appliance is fitted with a concealed
element it must be descaled regularly. The frequency of descaling depends on usage and the hardness of the water in your area.
Excessive scale can cause the appliance to switch off before boiling and may damage the element invalidating the warranty. It is essential that regular descaling takes place. We recommend descaling your kettle every month.
Use a proprietary descaling product suitable for stainless steel, glass or plastic. Please follow the instructions on the packet carefully.
Cleaning the Filter
1 Boil 750ml of water in the kettle, empty into a
suitable container then slowly add the descaler sachet as instructed.
2 Place the lid into the solution so the filter is fully
submerged.
3 Leave for 10 minutes then remove and thoroughly
swill the filter under a running tap.
4 Dry and re-fit to the kettle body.
4 Re-boil the kettle and pour the water away through
the lid/filter.
5 Your kettle is now ready for use.
