This remote control is designed to allow for your
ignition key to be inserted as shown on the left. Disassemble the remote and use the blanking plate as a template for cutting your key to shape. Drill three small holes and re-assemble.

OPERATING YOUR VEHICLE SECURITY SYSTEM
REMOTE CONTROL KEY - 2 BUTTON
Two remote cont rol keys are s upplied with the system whic h enable you to arm and disarm your securit y system. One remote control should be kept with your car keys and the other with your spare car k eys in a s afe place.
CENTRAL LOCKING - KEYLESS ENTRY*
This security system has built-in relays to cont rol c entral loc k i ng system s . T he system i s program m able t o operate standard electric or vac uum systems. * Certain vehicles may require additional parts to enable the correct use of this feature. These parts are not included in this system. Kits are available to convert vehicles wit h manual door locks to electric operation.
ENGINE IMMOBIL I SER This security system i s equipped with a built-in engine immobil iser to prevent engine starting when the system has been armed by the remot e cont rol or by the programm abl e autom at ic last door arm ing feat ure. T he authoris ed installer of this product should have advised you which circuit has been immobilised. A typical circuit to immobilis e would be t he starter motor, ignition coil or electric fuel pump.
ARMING
Before arming t he system, turn off and remove the keys from the i gni t i on. Cl ose all windows and doors. Check that the bonnet and boot are also closed. The system is arm ed by depressing button one mom entarily (approx.’ 1.5 seconds). It is i mportant to press the button for t he recom mended tim e as a shorter durati on may not activat e the system. You will notice the indicators f l ash once and the siren chirps once t o indi cate that the system is armed. The dash mounted warning light, LE D, will slow flash to indic ate armed mode. If your vehicle has central loc king, and it has been connected to this security system, the doors will lock at the same time as arming.

DISARMING To disarm, press rem ote c ontrol button two. The siren will c hirp twic e and the indi cat ors will flas h twi ce. The doors will unlock if t hi s system has been connected t o t he vehicles central locking system. If the alarm is soundi ng, the first press st ops the siren, a 2
nd
press then disarm s the system.
VEHICLE ‘LIGHT S ON’ WARNING WHEN ARMING THE SYSTEM If the vehicles li ght s are ‘ON’ when you arm the alarm, the siren wil l emit a warning sound before the arm chirp.
AUTOMATIC - LAST DOOR ARMING (PROGRAMMABLE)
The system c an be programmed t o arm automat ically 20 seconds after closing t he last door (or bonnet or boot). Opening a door within 20 seconds will s uspend the countdown and recommence on door closure.
DOORS, BONNET AND BOOT PROTECTION The siren will sound and the indicators will f l ash for 30 seconds should any of these be opened when the syst em is armed. The system requires your vehicle to be fitted with courtesy door light switches . Fitting door switches will incur extra costs i f not standard in your vehicle.
IMPACT SENSOR - 2 STAGE The sensor is designed t o detect major vehi cle movement (sharp s hock) such as im pact, vehicle towing c ausing shock, or viol ent glass breakage. I t may also be triggered by shock waves produced from loud exhausts, t hunder and heavy vehicle traffic. It should not be triggered by normal wind or rocking moti ons. If the sensor receives a light impact the siren fast chirps for a few s econds. It sounds full y for 20 sec onds if it detects a heavy impact. The sensitivit y level is set by the installer and shoul d be at its optimum . Over sensitivity can cause false alarms . The shock sensor will not soun d the si r en i f i t has b een byp assed by th e remote.
SHOCK SENSOR BYPASS
The shock s ens or can be bypassed t o prevent fals e alarm s . A rm the s ystem and withi n 5 sec onds pres s t he same button again.
