TOUCH-KEY AUTOMATIC DUAL IMMOBILISER

Features:

• Standards certified to AS/NZS4601 Amendment 1 2003

• Automatic dual circuit engine immobiliser

• User programmable touch keys with more than 16 million codes

• Up to 3 touch keys can be programmed

• Visual dashboard mounted LED indicator

• Automatic arming after ignition off

• Automatic re-arm if engine not started

ARMING:
The engine will always automatically immobilise 30 seconds after the ignition has been turned off.
This feature cannot be turned off as it is a mandatory Standards feature.
When the ignition is turned OFF, the dashboard LED will start to fast flash for 30 seconds to indicate the automatic sequence has
commenced. At the end of the 30 seconds the dashboard LED will slow flash as confirmation of immobilisation.

DISARMING:
Momentarily place the ‘touch key’ in the dashboard receptacle. You can now start the engine.
If the engine is not started within 30 seconds, the system will automatically re-arm.

AUTO RE-ARM:
The LED will fast flash after disarming signifying auto re-arm has commenced.
The system will re-arm if the engine is not started whilst the LED is fast flashing.

ARM CONDITION MEMORY:
If the car battery is disconnected, the security system will return to the same state, armed or disarmed,
Upon power re-connection.

EMERGENCY OVERRIDE – 5 DIGIT PIN CODED:
The system can be disarmed by entering your the unique 4 digit PIN code shown on the ‘PIN Code Card’ issued
with this product. KEEP THE CARD IN A SAFE PLACE – NOT IN THE VEHICLE !

Following is an example using PIN code 45258
The code is entered by turning the ignition ON or OFF in sequence with the dash mounted LED.
Full sequence is printed on the rear of the PIN code card.

Turn ignition ON - LED will light permanently to commence override.
Turn ignition OFF - LED will start flashing. Count the number of flashes for the 1st number (4 in the example).
Turn ignition ON - when the LED lights the 4thtime. The LED will light solid.
Turn ignition OFF - LED will start flashing again. Count the number of flashes for 2ndnumber (5 in the example).
Turn ignition ON - when the LED lights the 5thtime. The LED will light solid.
Continue this sequence for all numbers
The system will now disarm and the vehicle can be started.

Note: If your PIN code contains a “0”, this equals ‘10’.
Should you miss the LED flashes or enter a digit incorrectly, wait for 11 flashes and simply repeat the procedure
from step 1).

PROGRAMMING TOUCH KEYS (maximum 3):

1. Disarm the system with existing touch key or by using the PIN code override

2. Within 20 seconds of disarm, turn the ignition off/on 5 times (OFF-ON, OFF/ON, OFF/ON, OFF/ON, OFF/ON) Leaving in the
ON position. The LED will light solid

3. Touch the receptacle with the 1sttouch key for 1 second, LED will flash once
Touch the receptacle with the 2ndtouch key for 1 second, LED will flash twice
Touch the receptacle with the 3rdtouch key for 1 second, LED will flash three times

The system will complete the programming sequence after the 3rdtouch key

is programmed or the ignition is turned OFF.

This product is manufactured, tested and certified to AS/NZS4601 1999 amendment 1 2003.

Whilst this security system provides a deterrent, it may not prevent theft or damage through wilful criminal intent. Mongoose does not by inference, intent or any other
means guarantee that a vehicle fitted with one of it’s security systems will not be stolen, broken into, tampered with, or parts taken.
Mongoose does not offer nor will pay compensati on for any loss. We recommend adequate vehicle insurance and the fitment of other security devices as deemed necessary.
Any loss or any associated costs in making the vehicle mobile due to loss of the touch keys or PIN code card are the responsibility of the vehicle owner/dri ver. Also see warranty conditions.

This product must be installed according to the

requirements of the AS/NZS 3749.2 Installation Standard.

Remove all wire identifiers during installation.

Loom with other wires – DO NOT CONNECT

IMMOBILISER WIRES - IMPORTANT
A current draw test must be made on the chosen circuits for immobilisation.
When immobilising an ignition circuit, turn on ALL accessories whilst carrying out the current draw test.

The maximum continuous rating of this product is 10amps per circuit – do not exceed this rating.

GROUND WIRES
Connect these to 2 separate ground points ensuring a good clean contact for each.
Do not connect together at one point.

IGNITION INPUT
Connect to the ignition wire of the vehicle which has +12v on both the ‘ignition on’ and ‘crank’ switch positions

DUMMY WIRE
Do not cut short or connect to anything. Loom this wire with all others.

RECEPTACLE
Position the base of the receptacle on a flat section of the dashboard that is easily accessible to the vehicle owner
and in such a position where the LED is visible.
Ensure that the plug-in cable can be routed through from behind.
Secure with the screw provided and clip on the face cover.
