(2) High-speed internal processing
With the Ethernet module's faster internal processing, the PLC responds much faster when exchanging data with an external device.
The following table shows the minimum transmission delay time (reference value) on the PLC side when using each communication function. (This is based on the PLC CPU scan time of 10ms.)

Data communic at i on i s enabled over a network system where Ethernet and MELSECNET/10 or m ul tiple Ethernet networks are present. Communicates data via routers and gateways. (Ethernet module does not function as a router.) Checks whether or not the external device operates normally after communicati on has been established (open process i ng). Receiving connection and transmitting connecti on are opened as a single pair. (For fixed buffer com munication.) Communication is enabled automaticall y af t er i n i t i al processing is completed of local station Ethernet modul e. (Opening and closing by a sequence program is unneces sary.) Data is broadcasted simultaneously to all st ations on the same Ethernet network where the Ethernet module i s located. (Using UDP/IP)
