Introduction

Thank you for purchasing a Miomare product. The Miomare
shower thermometer (A) allows you to adjust the water
temperature in the shower to meet your needs exactly due to
the large, easily readable LCD display (3). The alarm LED (2),
which is activated at temperatures above 41°C, increases
safety, especially for babies, children and seniors. The shower
thermometer (A) is suitable for all standard showers and is
easy to install. It also helps you to save energy.

Intended use

This shower thermometer (A) is not designed for commercial
use or installation and operation in a company. This shower
thermometer (A) may only be used for private purposes, and
any other use is not as intended.
This shower thermometer (A) meets all relevant norms and
standards related to CE conformity. In the event of any
modification to the shower thermometer (A) that was not
approved by the manufacturer, compliance with these
standards is no longer guaranteed. The manufacturer does not
accept any liability for any resulting damage or faults in such
cases. Please observe the regulations and laws in the country
of use.

Operating environment

This shower thermometer (A) must not be
connected to a low-pressure boiler. Before

connecting, contact your plumber if necessary.
The shower thermometer (A) is suitable for use in all standard
showers with a ½ inch connection. It is designed for use in
rooms with a high temperature or humidity.

Ensure that
 no direct heat sources (e.g. heating) can affect the shower

thermometer (A) because it may be damaged otherwise.

 the shower thermometer (A) is not exposed to direct sunlight

or bright artificial light because it may be damaged
otherwise.

 the shower thermometer (A) is not subject to strong vibrations

because it may be damaged otherwise.

 no foreign bodies penetrate the shower thermometer (A)

because it may be damaged otherwise.

 no fire sources (e.g. burning candles) are placed on or near

the shower thermometer (A) because there is a risk of fire.

Children and persons with
disabilities

Electrical devices do not belong in the hands of children.
Persons with disabilities should also only use electrical devices
appropriately. Never allow children or persons with disabilities
to use electrical devices unsupervised. They may not recognise
potential risks. Batteries and other small parts may cause
choking resulting in death or serious injury. Also always keep
plastic packaging out of reach as it poses a suffocation risk.

First use

Installation

 Insert two 1.5V batteries LR44 (B) in the shower thermometer

(A). Note the "Replacing the batteries" section for this
purpose.

 Remove the shower head from the shower hose.
 Screw the union nut (1) of the shower thermometer with the

inserted rubber outlet seal (D) on the thread of the shower
head.

 Then screw the union nut of the shower hose with the

inserted rubber inlet seal (C) on the shower hose connection
(4) of the shower thermometer (A).

 The shower thermometer (A) is then ready for operation.

Application

The response time for a reliable temperature
measurement is up to 4 seconds.

 The water temperature is indicated in °C on the LCD display

(3) while showering.

 From a water temperature of 41°C, the alarm LED (2)

flashes red above the display. At the same time, " "
flashes on the LCD display (3).

 If the temperature of the running water increases to over

69°C, " " is indicated on the LCD display (3) because
the measuring range of the shower thermometer (A) is
exceeded.

Energy-saving mode

 The display is switched off when not in use.
 To deactivate the energy-saving mode, move the shower

thermometer (A) slightly. The display then indicates the
current temperature again.

Replacing the batteries

If it is necessary to change the two 1.5V
batteries LR44 (B), you must ensure that only
batteries of the same type are used (see

technical data).
If the LCD display (3) becomes weaker, the two 1.5V batteries
LR44 (B) must be replaced. In this case, proceed as follows:

 Open the battery compartment on the back of the shower

thermometer (A) by removing the screw (6) using a size 0
Phillips screwdriver.
Remove the battery compartment cover (5) by inserting a
thin, pointed object (e.g. a paper clip) in the available screw
hole and removing the battery compartment cover (5) on this
side.

 In the battery compartment, there are markings (+ and -)

next to the battery contact springs for inserting the batteries
with the correct polarity.

 Then insert two new 1.5V batteries LR44 (B). You must

ensure that the batteries are inserted with the correct
polarity:
The "+" marking in the battery compartment indicates that
the plus pole of the battery must be inserted downwards.
The "-" marking in the
battery compartment indicates that the minus pole of the
battery must be inserted downwards.

 Then replace the battery compartment cover (5) and tighten

the screw (6) again.

Replace weak batteries as soon as possible to
avoid leakage. Never use old and new batteries
or batteries of different types at the same time.

Cleaning / maintenance

The shower thermometer (A) does not contain any parts that
require servicing or cleaning. Ensure that the shower
thermometer (A) does not become dirty.

Clean the shower thermometer (A) with a damp
cloth if it becomes dirty. Do not use any solvents,
corrosive or gaseous cleaning agents. The
shower thermometer (A) may be damaged
otherwise.

Environmental and disposal information

When the crossed out wheelie bin symbol
appears on a product, this indicates that the
product is subject to the European Directive
2002/96/EC.

All old electrical and electronic devices must be separated
from normal household waste and disposed of at designated
state facilities. The proper disposal of the old device helps to
avoid environmental damage and personal health hazards.

For further information about proper disposal, contact your
local authorities, waste disposal office or the shop where you
bought the device.

Disposal of the packaging

Dispose of the packaging in an environmentally compatible
manner. Cardboard can be put out for municipal paper
collections or brought to public collection points for recycling.
Films and plastic used for packaging the device are collected
by your local disposal services and disposed of in an
environmentally compatible manner.

Disposal of batteries

Remember to protect the environment. Used batteries should
not be disposed of in domestic waste. They must be taken to a
collection point for old batteries. Please note that only
discharged batteries may be deposited in collection bins for
portable batteries. Care must be taken to ensure that batteries
that are not fully discharged do not short circuit.

requirements and other relevant regulations of
the EMC Directive 2004/108/EC as well as the
RoHS Directive 2011/65/EU.

proof of purchase. Before using your product for the first time,

available, the serial number to hand for all enquiries. If it is not
possible to solve the problem on the phone, our hotline support
staff will initiate further servicing procedures depending on the
fault. Within the warranty period the product will be repaired
or replaced free of charge as we deem appropriate. No new
warranty period commences if the product is repaired or
replaced. Consumables such as batteries, rechargeable
batteries and lamps are not covered by the warranty.

Introducción

Muchas gracias por haber optado por uno de nuestros
productos Miomare. El termómetro de ducha Miomare (A)
tiene una pantalla LCD (3) de gran tamaño que permite leer
fácilmente la temperatura del agua durante la ducha para que
pueda adaptarla con precisión a sus necesidades. El LED de
alarma (2), que se activa cuando la temperatura sobrepasa
los 41 °C, es un importante elemento de seguridad,
especialmente para bebés, niños y personas mayores. El
termómetro de ducha (A) es compatible con todos los equipos
de ducha estándar y es muy fácil de instalar. Además, también
ayuda a ahorrar energía.

Uso conforme a lo previsto

Este termómetro de ducha (A) no está destinado al uso
profesional e industrial. El termómetro de ducha (A) debe
destinarse únicamente al uso personal, ya que cualquier otro
tipo de uso se considerará contrario a lo previsto.
El termómetro de ducha (A) satisface, en relación a la

 El termómetro de ducha (A) no se exponga directamente a

la luz del sol o a luces artificiales intensas, ya que podría
resultar dañado.

 El termómetro de ducha (A) no se exponga a vibraciones

 No penetren cuerpos extraños en el termómetro de ducha

(A), ya que podría resultar dañado.

Niños y personas discapacitadas

Los aparatos eléctricos no son para los niños. Asimismo, las
personas discapacitadas solo deben utilizarlos con mucho
cuidado. No permita que los niños ni las personas
discapacitadas utilicen aparatos eléctricos sin vigilancia,

Puesta en funcionamiento

Montaje

 Introduzca dos pilas LR44 de 1,5 V (B) en el termómetro de

ducha (A). Consulte el apartado "Sustitución de las pilas".

 Desmonte el cabezal de ducha del flexible de la ducha.
 Enrosque la tuerca ciega (1) del termómetro de ducha, con

la junta de goma para la salida (D) montada, en la rosca
del cabezal de ducha.

 A continuación, enrosque la tuerca ciega del flexible de la

ducha, con la junta de goma para la entrada (C) montada,
en la conexión para el flexible (4) del termómetro de ducha
(A).

 El termómetro de ducha (A) estará ahora listo para ser

utilizado.

Uso

El tiempo de espera para que la medición de
temperatura resulte fiable es de 4 segundos
como máximo.

 Durante la ducha, en la pantalla LCD (3) se muestra la

temperatura del agua en °C.

 Cuando el agua alcanza los 41 °C de temperatura, el LED

de alarma (2) que hay encima de la pantalla empieza a
parpadear en color rojo. Al mismo tiempo, en la pantalla
LCD (3) parpadea " ".

 Si la temperatura del agua sobrepasa los 69 °C, en la

pantalla LCD (3) se muestra " ", lo que significa que se
ha sobrepasado el rango de medición del termómetro de
ducha (A).

Modo de ahorro de energía

 Cuando no se utiliza el aparato, se apaga la pantalla.
 Para salir del modo de ahorro de energía, mueva

ligeramente el termómetro de ducha (A). En la pantalla se
volverá a mostrar la temperatura actual.

Sustitución de las pilas

Si fuera necesario sustituir las dos pilas LR44 de
1,5 V (B), no olvide que es obligatorio utilizar
pilas del mismo tipo (véanse los datos técnicos).

Las dos pilas LR44 de 1,5 V (B) deben sustituirse cuando la
pantalla LCD (3) pierde fuerza de visualización. Proceda tal
como se explica a continuación:
 Para abrir el compartimento de las pilas que hay en la parte

trasera del termómetro de ducha (A), extraiga el tornillo (6)
con un destornillador Phillips de tamaño 0. Una vez extraído
el tornillo, introduzca un objeto delgado y puntiagudo (p.ej.
un clip) en el agujero y levante la tapa del compartimento
de las pilas (5) para extraerla.

 El compartimento de las pilas contiene unas marcas (+ y -)

junto a los muelles de contacto que indican la polaridad
correcta para colocar las pilas.

 Introduzca dos pilas LR44 de 1,5 V (B) nuevas. Preste

atención a que las pilas se coloquen en la polaridad
correcta:
La marca "+" del compartimento de las pilas indica que el
polo positivo de la pila debe ir abajo. La
marca "-" del compartimento de las pilas indica que el polo
negativo de la pila debe ir abajo.

 A continuación, coloque de nuevo la tapa del

compartimento de las pilas (5) y vuelva a enroscar el tornillo
(6).

Para evitar que las pilas se agoten completamente,
sustitúyalas lo antes posible cuando vean que
empiezan a debilitarse. No mezcle nunca pilas
nuevas y viejas ni pilas de distinto tipo.

Mantenimiento y limpieza

El termómetro de ducha (A) no contiene piezas internas que
requieran mantenimiento o limpieza. Preste atención a que el
termómetro de ducha (A) no se ensucie.

Si el termómetro de ducha (A) se ensucia,
límpielo con un paño húmedo. No utilice
disolventes ni productos de limpieza abrasivos o
gaseosos, ya que el termómetro de ducha (A)
podría resultar dañado.

Eliminación e información
medioambiental

Si el producto contiene el símbolo de un cubo de
basura tachado, significa que está sujeto a la
directiva europea 2002/96/EC.

Todos los aparatos eléctricos y electrónicos usados deben
eliminarse aparte de la basura doméstica en los centros
municipales previstos para ello. Si elimina correctamente el
aparato usado, estará contribuyendo a reducir el impacto
medioambiental y el peligro para la salud de las personas.

Para obtener más información acerca de la eliminación de
aparatos usados, consulte a la administración municipal, al
departamento de eliminación de residuos o al comercio donde
adquirió el producto.

Eliminación del embalaje

El embalaje también debe eliminarse respetando el medio
ambiente. Los cartones deben depositarse en contenedores de
papel o deben entregarse en centros de recogida públicos
para garantizar su reutilización. Las láminas y las piezas de
plástico incluidas en el volumen de suministro deben ser
recogidas por la empresa municipal de eliminación de
residuos y eliminadas correctamente.

Eliminación de pilas agotadas

Piense en el medio ambiente. Las pilas usadas no pertenecen a
la basura doméstica. Deben entregarse en un punto de
recogida de baterías usadas. Tenga presente que las pilas
únicamente deben desecharse en contenedores para baterías
usadas cuando están descargadas y que, en caso de
desecharse sin estar completamente descargadas, deben
tomarse las precauciones necesarias para evitar que se
produzcan cortocircuitos.

Ihnen durch das große, gut ablesbare LC-Display (3) die
Möglichkeit, die Wassertemperatur beim Duschen
entsprechend Ihren Bedürfnissen gradgenau einzustellen. Die
bei Temperaturen über 41°C aktive Alarm-LED (2) erhöht die
Sicherheit insbesondere für Babys, Kinder und Senioren. Das
Duschthermometer (A) ist für alle Standard-Duschvorrichtungen
geeignet und einfach zu installieren. Außerdem hilft es Ihnen
beim Energiesparen.

Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung

Dieses Duschthermometer (A) ist nicht für den Betrieb in einem

Inbetriebnahme

Montage

 Legen Sie zwei 1,5V-Batterien LR44 (B) in das

Duschthermometer (A) ein. Beachten Sie hierzu den Punkt
„Batterien wechseln“.

 Entfernen Sie den Duschkopf vom Duschschlauch.
 Schrauben Sie die Überwurfmutter (1) des Dusch-

thermometers mit eingelegter Gummi-Auslaufdichtung (D) auf
das Gewinde des Duschkopfes.

 Schrauben Sie jetzt die Überwurfmutter des Duschschlauchs

mit eingelegter Gummi-Einlaufdichtung (C) auf den
Duschschlauchanschluss (4) des Duschthermometers (A).

 Das Duschthermometer (A) ist nun betriebsbereit.

Anwendung

Die Ansprechzeit für eine zuverlässige
Temperaturmessung liegt bei bis zu 4 Sekunden.

 Während des Duschens wird im LC-Display (3) die

Wassertemperatur in °C angezeigt.

 Ab einer Wassertemperatur von 41°C blinkt die Alarm-LED

(2) über dem Display rot. Gleichzeitig blinkt im LC-Display
(3) „ “.

 Steigt die Temperatur des durchlaufenden Wassers auf über

69°C wird im LC-Display (3) „ “ angezeigt, da der
Messbereich des Duschthermometers (A) überschritten ist.

Energiesparmodus

 Bei Nichtbenutzung wird die Displayanzeige ausgeschaltet.
 Um den Energiesparmodus zu deaktivieren bewegen Sie

das Duschthermoter (A) leicht. Die Displayanzeige zeigt jetzt
wieder die aktuelle Temperatur an.

Batterien wechseln

Sollte es notwendig sein, die zwei 1,5V-Batterien
LR44 (B) zu erneuern, ist unbedingt darauf zu
achten, dass nur Batterien gleichen Typs ver-

wendet werden dürfen (siehe technische Daten).
Falls die Anzeige des LC-Displays (3) schwächer wird, müssen
die zwei 1,5V-Batterien LR44 (B) erneuert werden. Gehen Sie
dazu folgendermaßen vor:

 Öffnen Sie das Batteriefach auf der Rückseite des

Duschthermometers (A), indem Sie die Schraube (6) mit Hilfe
eines Kreuzschraubendrehers der Größe 0 entfernen.
Heben Sie den Batteriefachdeckel (5) ab, indem Sie mit
einem dünnen spitzen Gegenstand (z.B. Büroklammer) in
das freie Schraubenloch fassen und den Batteriefachdeckel
(5) an dieser Seite anheben.

 Im Batteriefach sind neben den Batteriekontaktfedern

Markierungen (+ und -) zum polrichtigen Einlegen der
Batterien angebracht.

 Legen Sie jetzt zwei neue 1,5V-Batterien LR44 (B) ein.

Beachten Sie hierbei unbedingt, dass die Batterien polrichtig
eingelegt werden:
Markierung „+“ im Batteriefach bedeutet Plus-Pol der
Batterie nach unten.
Markierung „-“ im Batteriefach bedeutet Minus-Pol der
Batterie nach unten.

 Setzen Sie nun den Batteriefachdeckel (5) wieder auf und

drehen Sie die Schraube (6) wieder ein.

Um ein Auslaufen zu vermeiden wechseln Sie
schwache Batterien schnellstmöglich aus.
Verwenden Sie nie alte und neue Batterien oder
Batterien unterschiedlichen Typs gleichzeitig.

Wartung / Reinigung

Das Duschthermometer (A) beinhaltet keine zu wartenden oder
zu reinigenden Teile. Achten Sie darauf, dass das
Duschthermometer (A) nicht verunreinigt wird.

Reinigen Sie das Duschthermometer (A) bei
einer Verschmutzung mit einem angefeuchteten
Tuch. Verwenden Sie keine Lösungsmittel,
ätzende oder gasförmige Reinigungsmittel. Das
Duschthermometer (A) könnte beschädigt
werden.

Umwelthinweise und
Entsorgungsangaben

Wenn dieses Symbol eines durchgestrichenen
Abfalleimers auf einem Produkt angebracht ist,
unterliegt dieses Produkt der europäischen
Richtlinie 2002/96/EC.

Alle Elektro- und Elektronikaltgeräte müssen getrennt vom
Hausmüll über dafür staatlich vorgesehene Stellen entsorgt
werden. Mit der ordnungsgemäßen Entsorgung des alten
Gerätes vermeiden Sie Umweltschäden und eine Gefährdung

der persönlichen Gesundheit. Weitere Informationen zur
Entsorgung des alten Gerätes erhalten Sie bei der
Stadtverwaltung, beim Entsorgungsamt oder in dem Geschäft,
in dem Sie das Produkt erworben haben.

Entsorgung der Verpackung

Führen Sie auch die Verpackung einer umweltgerechten
Entsorgung zu. Kartonagen können bei Altpapiersammlungen
oder an öffentlichen Sammelplätzen zur Wiederverwertung
abgegeben werden. Folien und Kunststoffe des Lieferumfangs
werden über Ihr örtliches Entsorgungsunternehmen
eingesammelt und umweltgerecht entsorgt.

Entsorgung von Batterien

Denken Sie an den Umweltschutz. Verbrauchte Batterien
gehören nicht in den Hausmüll. Sie müssen bei einer
Sammelstelle für Altbatterien abgegeben werden. Bitte
beachten Sie, dass Batterien nur im entladenen Zustand in die
Sammelbehälter für Gerätealtbatterien gegeben werden
dürfen, bzw. bei nicht vollständig entladenen Batterien,
Vorsorge gegen Kurzschlüsse getroffen werden muss.
