HowlongshouldIexercise?
Thedurationofyourexercisesessionisdependentonyourfitnesslevel.Ingeneral,
itisrecommendedthatyoumaintainyourheartrateinthetrainingzoneforatleast
tenminutestorealizeanaerobicbenefit.Asyourfitnesslevelincreases,youwillbe
abletomaintainyourheartrateinthetrainingzoneforlongerperiods:usually
between20and30minutes.
Whenstartingyourworkout,usethefirstseveralminutestowarmup,thenslowly
increaseyourworkloadtobringyourheartrateintoyourspecifictrainingzone.Atthe
endofyourworkout,graduallydecreaseyourworkloadandexerciselightlyasa
"cooldown".
HowoftenshouldIexercise?
Toachievethegreatestbenefits,aerobicexercisesshouldbeperformedthreetofive
timesperweek.Itisimportanttoallowsufficienttime,atleast24hours,foryour
bodytorecoverafterexercise.
