Theseatpositioncanbealteredintwoways:Anautomaticgasspringmovesthe seatwithinasetrange;andtheplacementofthegasspring'sconnectiontothe framechangestherangeofmovement.Theframehasfrontandbackholes. Connectingthegasspringatthefrontholemakestheseatclosertothedisplay. Connectingthegasspringattherearconnectionpointmakestheseatfartherfrom thedisplay.Tallpeoplewouldprobablypreferasetupwiththegasspringconnected atthebackhole.Thisisthepositionsetatthefactory.
Toadjusttheproximityoftheseattothepedals,followtheinstructionsbelow.
AutomaticAdjustment
Tousetheautomaticseatadjustment(gas springactivated),sitontheseatandhold upthehandlemarkedAintheillustration. Pushagainstthepedalsand/orhandleto movetheseatback,orsimplylettheseat moveforwardtobringitclosetothe display.Oncetheseatmovestothe desiredposition,releasehandleA.The seatwillstayatthatposition.

QUICKSTART
TheQUICKSTARTkeyallowsyoutobeginexercisingimmediatelywithoutfirst settingupauserID.UsingtheQUICKSTARTkeyisaquickandconvenientwayto startexercising,butitdoesnotconveyinformation,suchasyourownageandweight, tothedisplay.Consequently,targetheartrateandcaloriecountvaluesshown throughQUICKSTARTwillnotbeasaccurateasthoseshownafterenteringuser information.
TostartexercisingviaQUICKSTART,whenthestartupbannerappears,pressthe QUICKSTARTkey.QUICKSTARTmodeusesthedefaultassumptionofa35-year­old,165-lb/75-kgusertocalculatecaloriecountandtargetheartratevalues.Time countsupward.Resistancestartsatleveloneandcanbeadjustedduringexercise.
