SYMBOLS
Please read the instructions carefully before
starting the machine.
WARNING! Read all safety warnings and all
instructions, including those given in the accompanying
brochure. Failure to follow the warnings and instructions may
result in electric shock, re and/or serious injury.
Save all warnings and instructions for future reference.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Avoid dangerous environments. Do not use in rain, snow, damp
or wet locations. Do not use in the presence of explosive
atmospheres (gaseous fumes, dust or fammable materials)
because sparks may be generated when inserting or removing
battery pack, possibly causing re.
Do not dispose of used battery packs in the household refuse
or by burning them. Milwaukee Distributors offer to retrieve old
batteries to protect our environment.
Do not store the battery pack together with metal objects (short
circuit risk).
Use only System C 12 chargers for charging System C 12
battery packs. Do not use battery packs from other systems.
Battery acid may leak from damaged batteries under extreme
load or extreme temperatures. In case of contact with battery
acid wash it off immediately with soap and water. In case of eye
contact rinse thoroughly for at least 10 minutes and
immediately seek medical attention.
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including
children) with limited physical, sensory or mental capabilities or
insufcient experience and/or knowledge unless they are
supervised by a person who is responsible for their safety or
have been instructed by them in the safe use of the tool.
Children should be supervised in order to ensure that they do
not play with the tool.
The LED may not be displayed due to installation condition of
electrical circuit or equipment. Never touch the circuit under
test to avoid possible danger even if the LED for NCVD is not
displayed. Check the functionality of LED on a well-known
power supply prior to measurement. When the LED doesn’t
light up, do not make measurement. NCVD indication is
affected by external voltage, and how the meter is held or
placed.
SPECIFIED CONDITIONS OF USE
In metal mode, the Sub-Scanner will detect both ferrous
(>14 mm Ø) and non-ferrous (>16 mm Ø) metals in concrete up
to a depth of 15.2 cm, regardless of the wall texture.
In drywall mode, the Sub-Scanner will detect wood or metal
studs and joists behind wall board, wooden panels, or other
homogeneous materials, e.g. chipboard and oriented strand
board.
In this mode, additionally to wood and metal objects, other
objects detected, such as water-lled plastic pipe or copper
tube.
Do not use this product in any other way as stated for normal
use.
BATTERIES
New battery packs reach full loading capacity after 4 - 5
chargings and dischargings. Battery packs which have not
been used for some time should be recharged before use.
Temperatures in excess of 50°C (122°F) reduce the
performance of the battery pack. Avoid extended exposure to
heat or sunshine (risk of overheating).
The contacts of chargers and battery packs must be kept clean.
For an optimum life-time, after use, the battery packs have to
be fully charged.
To obtain the longest possible battery life remove the battery
pack from the charger once it is fully charged.
For battery pack storage longer than 30 days:
Store the battery pack where the temperature is below 27°C
and away from moisture
Store the battery packs in a 30% - 50% charged condition
Every six months of storage, charge the pack as normal.
WORKING TIPS
The Sub-Scanner can not reliably detect metal or studs behind
material of varying densities. Materials such as carpet, wire
metal mesh backing, damp walls, and stucco may affect
readings. Alternating surfaces, such as thick grout lines or
extremely heavy plaster on drywall, may be detected or show
as metal or studs.
If calibration error is displayed ashing, move the
Sub-Scanner to another position and restart calibration.
In case the stud sensor can’t calibrate everywhere on the
drywall or in the air, probably the unit is damaged.
The Sub-Scanner will not calibrate correctly over studs. To nd
a location without studs, locate an outlet box and move the
Sub-Scanner 15 cm to either side before beginning calibration.
When SCANNING is displayed, move the Sub-Scanner across
the surface. Keep your free hand and other objects at least
15 cm away to avoid false readings.
If electric wires or metal/pipes are in contact with the backside
of the wallboard, they may be identied as a stud.
Use the METAL mode to scan for conduit.
SLEEP MODE
The Sub-Scanner is automatically powered off in about 20
minutes after the last operation. To reset, press any button. If
the display is blank when the Sub-Scanner is turned ON,
charge the battery according to the battery/charger manual.
The Sub-Scanner does use battery power in sleep mode. Be
sure to turn OFF the tool to conserve battery power.
MAINTENANCE
Clean the laser windows with a soft, moist cloth to keep them
clean and clear. Remove battery before cleaning.
Warning!
To reduce the risk of personal injury and damage, never
immerse your tool in liquid or allow a liquid to fow inside it.
Clean dust and debris from tool. Keep tool handles clean, dry
and free of oil or grease. Use only mild soap and a damp cloth
to clean the tool since certain cleaning agents and solvents are
harmful to plastics and other insulated parts. Never use
ammable or combustible solvents around tools
Use only Milwaukee accessories and Milwaukee spare parts.
Should components need to be replaced which have not been
described, please contact one of our Milwaukee service agents
(see our list of guarantee/service addresses).
Remove the battery pack before starting any
work on the machine.
Do not dispose of electric tools together with
household waste material! In observance of
European Directive 2002/96/EC on waste
electrical and electronic equipment and its
implementation in accordance with national law,
electric tools that have reached the end of their
life must be collected separately and returned to
an environmentally compatible recycling facility.

Hausmüll werfen. Milwaukee bietet eine umweltgerechte
Alt-Wechselakku-Entsorgung an; bitte fragen Sie Ihren
Fachhändler.
Wechselakkus nicht zusammen mit Metallgegenständen
aufbewahren (Kurzschlussgefahr).
Wechselakkus des Systems C12 nur mit Ladegeräten des
Systems C12 laden. Keine Akkus aus anderen Systemen
laden.
Unter extremer Belastung oder extremer Temperatur kann aus
beschädigten Wechselakkus Batterieüssigkeit auslaufen. Bei
Berührung mit Batterieüssigkeit sofort mit Wasser und Seife
abwaschen. Bei Augenkontakt sofort mindestens 10 Minuten
gründlich spülen und unverzüglich einen Arzt aufsuchen.
Dieses Gerät ist nicht dafür bestimmt, durch Personen
(einschließlich Kinder) mit eingeschränkten physischen,
sensorischen oder geistigen Fähigkeiten oder mangels
Erfahrung und/oder mangels Wissen benutzt zu werden, es sei
denn, sie werden durch eine für ihre Sicherheit zuständige
Person beaufsichtigt oder erhielten von ihr Anweisungen, wie
das Gerät zu benutzen ist.
Kinder sollten beaufsichtigt werden, um sicherzustellen, dass

Die LED zeigt nicht den Zustand einer elektrischen Installation
an. Auch wenn die LED während der Prüfung nicht leuchtet
niemals Leiter berühren, die möglicherweise unter Spannung
stehen können. Die Funktion der LED an einer bekannten
Spannungsquelle testen. Leuchtet die LED nicht, ist der
Spannungsprüfer defekt und darf nicht zu Messungen
verwendet werden! Die berührungslose Spannungsprüfung
wird von externen Spannungen beeinusst und wie das
Messgerät gehalten oder platziert wird.
BESTIMMUNGSGEMÄßE VERWENDUNG
In der Betriebsart Metall erkennt der Sub-Scanner magnetische
Metalle (>14 mm ø) und nicht magnetische Metalle (>16 mm ø)
in Beton bis zu einer Tiefe von 15,2 cm unabhängig von der
Wandbeschaffenheit.
In der Betriebsart Trockenbau erkennt der Sub-Scanner
Pfosten oder Metallständer/Metallträger hinter Wandplatten,
Holzpaneelen, Putz oder anderen nicht metallischen
Materialien.
In dieser Betriebsart werden neben Holz- und Metallobjekten
auch andere Objekte erkannt wie z.B wassergefüllte
Kunststoffrohre oder Kupferröhre.

AKKUS
Neue Wechselakkus erreichen ihre volle Kapazität nach 4-5
Lade-und Entladezyklen. Längere Zeit nicht benutzte
Wechselakkus vor Gebrauch nachladen.
Eine Temperatur über 50°C vermindert die Leistung des
Wechselakkus. Längere Erwärmung durch Sonne oder
Heizung vermeiden.
Die Anschlusskontakte an Ladegerät und Wechselakku sauber
halten.
Für eine optimale Lebensdauer müssen nach dem Gebrauch
die Akkus voll geladen werden.

ARBEITSHINWEISE
Der Sub-Scanner kann Metall oder Pfosten hinter Materialien
mit unterschiedlicher Dichte nicht zuverlässig erkennen.
Materialien wie Teppich, Metallgeechte, feuchte Wände und
Gipsputz können das Scannen beeinussen. Unregelmäßige
Oberächen, wie breite Fugen oder sehr dicke
Gipskartonwände im Trockenbau können als Metalle oder
Balken erkannt werden.
Wenn bei der Kalibrierung calibration error blinkt, die
Kalibrierung in einem anderen Bereich wiederholen.
Wenn das Gerät in der Betriebsart Trockenbau weder auf einer
Trockenbauwand oder in freier Luft kalibriert werden kann, ist
es wahrscheinlich beschädigt.
Der Sub-Scanner kann nicht über Pfosten kalibriert werden.
Um einen Bereich ohne Pfosten zu nden vor der Kalibrierung
eine Steckdose suchen und den Subscanner in beide
Richtungen 15 cm bewegen.
Wenn im Display SCANNING angezeigt wird, den Sub-Scanner
entlang der Oberäche bewegen. Die andere Hand und andere
Objekte mindestens 15 cm vom Sub-Scanner entfernt halten
um Fehlmessungen zu vermeiden.
Wenn elektrische Leitungen oder Metallrohre die Rückseite von
Wandplatten berühren, können diese als Pfosten identiziert
werden.
Die Betriebsart METALL verwenden um Rohre zu erkennen.
AUTOMATISCHE ABSCHALTFUNKTION
Der Sub-Scanner schaltet sich 20 Min nach der letzten
Benutzung aus. Um das Gerät weiter zu benutzen eine
beliebige Taste drücken. Sollte nach dem Einschalten im
Display nichts angezeigt werden muss der Akku geladen
werden.
Der Sub-Scanner benötigt weiter Strom nach der
automatischen Abschaltung. Um die Akkulaufzeit zu erhöhen,
das Gerät abschalten, wenn es nicht mehr benötigt wird.
WARTUNG
Warnung!
Um Personenschäden zu vermeiden, das Gerät niemals in
Flüssigkeit tauchen bzw. vermeiden, dass Flüssigkeit in das
Gerät gelangt
Staub und Schmutz vom Gerät stets entfernen. Den Handgriff
sauber, trocken und frei von Öl oder Fett halten. Reinigungsund Lösungsmittel sind schädlich für Kunststoffe und andere
isolierende Teile, deshalb nur mit einer milden Seife und einem
feuchten Tuch das Gerät reinigen. Verwenden Sie niemals
brennbare Lösungsmittel in der Nähe des Gerätes
Nur Milwaukee Zubehör und Ersatzteile verwenden. Bauteile,
deren Austausch nicht beschrieben wurde, bei einer Milwaukee
Kundendienststelle auswechseln lassen (Broschüre Garantie/
Kundendienstadressen beachten).
Bei Bedarf kann eine Explosionszeichnung des Gerätes unter
Angabe der Maschinen Type und der zehnstelligen Nummer
auf dem Leistungsschild bei Ihrer Kundendienststelle oder
direkt bei Milwaukee Electric Tool, Max-Eyth-Straße 10,
D-71364 Winnenden, Germany angefordert werden.

INSTRUCTIONS DE SÉCURITÉ PARTICULIERES
Ne pas utiliser dans des environnements dangereux. Ne pas
utiliser par temps de pluie ou de neige, ni sur les lieux humides
ou mouillés. Ne pas utiliser dans les zones présentant des
risques d‘explosion (fumée, poussière ou matériaux
inammables) car des étincelles peuvent être générées lors de
la mise en place ou du prélèvement de l‘accu interchangeable.
Cela peut provoquer un incendie.
Ne pas jeter les accus interchangeables usés au feu ou avec
les déchets ménagers. Milwaukee offre un système
d’évacuation écologique des accus usés.
Ne pas conserver les accus interchangeables avec des objets
métalliques (risque de court-circuit)
Ne charger les accus interchangeables du système C12
qu’avec le chargeur d’accus du système C12. Ne pas charger
des accus d’autres systèmes.
En cas de conditions ou températures extrêmes, du liquide
caustique peut s’échapper d’un accu interchangeable
endommagé. En cas de contact avec le liquide caustique de la
batterie, laver immédiatement avec de l’eau et du savon. En
cas de contact avec les yeux, rincer soigneusement avec de
l’eau et consulter immédiatement un médecin.
Cet appareil n’est pas destiné à être utilisé par des personnes
(y compris des enfants) présentant des capacités restreintes au
niveau physique, sensoriel ou mental, ou qui manquent
d’expérience ou de connaissances, à moins que de telles
personnes soient surveillées par une autre personne
compétente en matière de sécurité ou aient reçu de cette
dernière les instructions adéquates concernant l’utilisation de
l’appareil.
Les enfants doivent être surveillés an de garantir qu’ils ne
jouent pas avec l’appareil.
Détection de la tension sans contact :
La LED n’indique pas l’état d’une installation électrique. Même
si la LED n’est pas allumée pendant le contrôle, il convient de
ne jamais toucher les conducteurs qui peuvent éventuellement
se trouver sous tension. Tester la fonction des LED sur une
source de tension connue. Si la LED ne s’allume pas, cela
signie que le détecteur
de tension est défectueux et qu’il ne doit pas être utilisé pour
les mesures ! la détection de la tension sans contact est
inuencée par des tensions externes ainsi que par la manière
de tenir ou de placer l’appareil de mesure.
UTILISATION CONFORME AUX PRESCRIPTIONS
En mode métal le subscanner identie les métaux magnétiques
(>14 mm ø) et les métaux non magnétiques (>16 mm ø) dans
le béton jusqu'à une profondeur de 15,2 cm en présence de
n'import quelle structure de la paroi.
En mode paroi sèche le subscanner identie montants ou
supports / étais en métal ou bois derrière panneaux paroi,
panneaux en bois et d'autres matériaux homogènes, comme

par exemple panneaux en aggloméré et panneaux à lamelles
orientées (oriented strand board <OSB>).
En ce mode non seulement des objets en bois ou en métal,
mais d'autres objets comme par exemple tuyaux synthétiques
contenant d'eau ou tuyaux en cuivre seront identiés.
Comme déjà indiqué, cette machine n’est conçue que pour être
utilisée conformément aux prescriptions.
ACCUS
Les nouveaux accus interchangeables atteignent leur pleine
capacité après 4-5 cycles de chargement et déchargement.
Recharger les accus avant utilisation après une longue période
de non utilisation.
Une température supérieure à 50°C amoindrit la capacité des
accus. Eviter les expositions prolongées au soleil ou au
chauffage.
Tenir propres les contacts des accus et des chargeurs.
Pour une durée de vie optimale, les accus doivent être chargés
à fond après l‘utilisation.
Pour une plus longue durée de vie, enlever les batteries du
chargeur de batterie quand celles-ci seront chargées.
En cas d'entreposage de la batterie pour plus de 30 jours:
Entreposer la batterie à 27°C environ dans un endroit sec.
Entreposer la batterie avec une charge d'environ 30% - 50%.
Recharger la batterie tous les 6 mois.
CONSIGNES DE TRAVAIL
Le Sub-Scanner ne peut pas reconnaître avec abilité les
métaux ou les piliers derrière des matériaux avec une densité
différente. Les matériaux tels que les tapis, les tresses
métalliques, les murs humides et l‘enduit au plâtre peuvent
inuencer sur le scanning. Les surfaces irrégulières, comme
des joints larges ou des murs très épais en placoplâtre dans
les constructions sèches peuvent être reconnus comme
métaux ou comme poutres.
Si pendant le calibrage "calibration error clignote,
répéter le calibrage sur un autre point.
Si en mode paroi sèche le calibrage de l'appareil ne pourra être
effectué ni sur paroi sèche ni en air libre, l'appareil est
probablement endommagé.
Le Sub-Scanner ne peut pas être calibré au-dessus des piliers.
Pour trouver une zone sans pilier, rechercher une prise de
courant avant le calibrage et déplacer le Sub-scanner de 15 cm
dans les deux directions.
Si l‘expression SCANNING est visualisée sur l‘afcheur,
déplacer le Sub-Scanner le long de la surface. Tenir l‘autre
main et les autres objets à l‘écart du Sub-Scanner sur au moins
15 cm pour éviter des erreurs de mesure.
Si des câbles électriques ou des tubes en métal contactent la
face arrière des panneaux muraux, il se peut que ceux-ci soient
identiés comme piliers.
Utiliser le mode de service METAL pour détecter les tubes.
FONCTION DE DECONNEXION AUTOMATIQUE
Le Sub-Scanner se déconnecte 20 minutes après la dernière
utilisation. Appuyer sur une touche quelconque pour continuer
à utiliser l‘appareil. L‘accu doit être rechargé si rien n‘est
visualisé sur l‘afcheur après l‘enclenchement.
Le Sub-Scanner a encore besoin de courant après la
déconnexion automatique. Pour augmenter la durée de vie de
l‘accu, il convient d‘éteindre l‘appareil lorsqu‘il n‘est plus utilisé.
ENTRETIEN
Avertissement!
Pour éviter des préjudices corporels, ne jamais plonger
l‘appareil dans du liquide ou éviter que du liquide pénètre dans
l‘appareil.
Toujours supprimer la poussière et les saletés de l‘appareil.
Veiller à ce que la poignée reste propre, sèche ainsi
qu‘exempte d‘huile ou de graisse. Les produits de nettoyage et
les solvants sont nocifs pour les matières plastiques et d‘autres
composants isolants et c‘est pourquoi il convient de nettoyer
l‘appareil seulement avec un savon doux et un chiffon humide.
Ne jamais utiliser de solvants combustibles à proximité de
l‘appareil.
Utiliser uniquement les accessoires Milwaukee et les pièces
détachées Milwaukee. Faire remplacer les composants dont le
remplacement n‘a pas été décrit, par un des centres de service
après-vente Milwaukee (observer la brochure avec les
adresses de garantie et de service après-vente).
Si besoin est, une vue éclatée de l‘appareil peut être fournie.

la plaque signalétique, à votre station de service après-vente

NORME DI SICUREZZA
Non usare in ambienti pericolosi. Non usare sotto la pioggia o
neve, né in luoghi umidi o bagnati. Non usare in ambienti a
pericolo di esplosione (fumo, polvere o materiali inammabili),
visto che durante l'uso o la rimozione della batteria possono
essere generate scintille. Queste potrebbero causare incendi.
Non gettare le batterie esaurite sul fuoco o nella spazzatura di
casa. La Milwaukee offre infatti un servizio di recupero batterie
usate.
Nel vano d’innesto per la batteria del caricatore non devono
entrare parti metalliche.(pericolo di cortocircuito).
Le batterie del System C12 sono ricaricabili esclusivamente
con i caricatori del System C12. Le batterie di altri sistemi non
possono essere ricaricate.
Nel caso di batterie danneggiate da un carico eccessivo o da
temperature alte, l'acido di queste potrebbe fuoriuscire. In caso
di contatto con l'acido delle batterie lavarsi immediatamente
con acqua e sapone. In caso di contatto con gli occhi
risciacquare immediatamente con acqua per almeno 10 minuti
e contattare subito un medico.
Il presente apparato non è destinato all’uso da parte di persone
(bambini compresi) con abilità siche, sensoriali o intellettuali
limitate o da parte di persone con mancanza di esperienza o
mancanze delle necessarie conoscenze, salvo che vengano
sorvegliate da una persona responsabile per la loro sicurezza o
che siano state da quest’ultima istruita su come utilizzare
l’apparato stesso.
Sorvegliare i bambini per accertarsi che non giochino con
l’apparato.
Misurazione della tensione senza contatto:
Il LED non indica lo stato dell'installazione elettrica. Anche se
durante la prova il LED non è illuminato, non toccare mai i
conduttori che potrebbero essere sotto tensione. Testare il
funzionamento del LED con una sorgente di voltaggio nota. Se
il LED non lampeggia, il voltmetro è difettoso e non deve
essere utilizzato per le misurazioni! La misurazione di voltaggio
senza contatto viene inuenzata da voltaggi esterni e da come
lo strumento di misura viene tenuto o posizionato.
UTILIZZO CONFORME
In modalità metallo, il subscanner riconosce metalli magnetici
(>14 mm ø) e metalli non magnetici (>16 mm ø) nel cemento
no ad una profondità di 15,2 cm a prescindere dalla struttura
della parete.
In modalità parete asciutta il sub-scanner riconosce montanti o
supporti / sostegni in metallo o legno dietro pannelli da parete,
pannelli in legno ed altri materiali omogenei, come ad esempio
pannelli truciolari e pannelli a scaglie orientate (oriented strand
board <OSB>).
In questa modalità oltre ad oggetti in legno o in metallo
vengono rilevati anche altri oggetti come ad esempio tubi
sintetici contenenti acqua oppure tubi di rame.

Utilizzare il prodotto solo per l’uso per cui è previsto.
BATTERIE
Le batterie nuove raggiungono la loro piena capacità dopo 4-5
cicli di carica e scarica. Batterie non utilizzate per molto tempo
devone essere ricaricate prima dell’uso.
A temperature superiori ai 50°C , la potenza della batteria si
riduce.
Evitare di esporre l’accumulatore a surriscaldamento
prolungato, dovuto ad esempio ai raggi del sole o ad un
impianto di riscaldamento.
Per una ottimale vita utile è necessario ricaricare
completamente le batterie dopo l'uso.
Per una più lunga durata, rimuovere le batterie dal
caricabatterie quando saranno cariche.
In caso di immagazzinaggio della batteria per più di 30 giorni:
Immagazzinare la batteria a circa 27°C in ambiente asciutto.
Immagazzinare la batteria con carica di circa il 30% - 50%.
Ricaricare la batteria ogni 6 mesi.
AVVERTENZE D'USO
Il sub-scanner non è in grado di riconoscere in maniera
afdabile il metallo o montanti dietro materiali di densità
disonogenea. Materiali come tappeti, reti metalliche, pareti
umide ed intonaci a base di gesso possono inuenzare lo
scanning. Superci irregolari, come giunti larghi o pareti in
cartongesso a secco molto spesse possono essere segnalati
come metallo o travi.
Se durante la calibrazione lampeggia calibration error ,
ripetere la calibrazione in un altro punto.
Se in modalità parete asciutta il dispositivo non può essere
calibrato ne su parete asciutta ne in area libera, è
probabilmente guasto.
Non è possibile calibrare il sub-scanner su montanti. Per
trovare una zona senza montanti, prima di iniziare la
calibrazione cercare una presa e muovere il sub-scanner in
ambedue le direzione per 15 cm.
Quando sul display appare SCANNING, muovere il subscanner lungo la supercie. Mantenere l'altra mano ed altri
oggetti ad una distanza di almeno 15 cm dal sub-scanner per
evitare errori di misurazione.
Se cavi elettrici o tubature metalliche toccano il retro di pannelli
di tamponatura esiste il rischio che vengano identicati come
montanti.
Usare la modalità METALLO per riconoscere le tubature.
FUNZIONE DI DISATTIVAZIONE AUTOMATICA
Il sub-scanner si disattiva 20 minuti dopo l'ultimo utilizzo. Per
continuare ad usare l'apparecchio, azionare un tasto qualsiasi.
Se dopo l'attivazione sul display non viene visualizzato nulla, è
necessario ricaricare la batteria.
Il sub-scanner continua a consumare corrente anche dopo la
disattivazione automatica. Per incrementare la durata della
batteria, spegnere l'apparecchio quando non viene più
utilizzato.
MANUTENZIONE
Attenzione!
Per evitare danni alle persone, non immergere mai
l'apparecchio in liquidi ed evitare che liquidi possano penetrare
nell'apparecchio.
Polvere e sporcizia devono essere sempre tenute lontane
dall'apparecchio. Tenere l'impugnatura pulita, asciutta e libera
da oli o grassi. Detergenti e solventi sono dannosi alla plastica
e ad altre parti isolanti, pertanto pulire l'apparecchio soltanto
con sapone neutro ed un panno umido. Non usare mai solventi
inammabili nelle vicinanze dell'apparecchio.
Usare solo accessori Milwaukee e pezzi di ricambio Milwaukee.
Gruppi costruttivi la cui sostituzione non è stata descritta,
devono essere fatti cambiare da un punto di servizio di
assistenza tecnica al cliente Milwaukee (vedi depliant garanzia/
indirizzi assistenza tecnica ai clienti).
