cAP series
The cAP is a small AP device with one ethernet port, it supports powering by PoE and optionally can be managed by the CAPsMAN management server.
Powering
The device accepts powering from Ethernet port (Passive PoE only). Under maximum load, the power consumption of this device is 4W
Connecting
2. Connect the provided power supply unit to the PoE injector, to power up the cAP
3. Wireless AP mode is enabled by default, you can connect to the SSID “MikroTik”. Log into your router from your web browser by opening 192.168.88.1 in the address bar
Configuration
The device is preinstalled with MikroTik RouterOS software. It can be configured in several ways. More information here: http://mt.lv/help
Connect to wireless SSID “MikroTik” and open http://192.168.88.1 in your web browser. !

The username is admin and there is no password. In case IP connection is not available, the Winbox utility can be used to connect to the MAC address of the device.
By default, the device is preconfigured with a simple firewall on the Ethernet port, this configuration can be viewed when first connecting to the Router via Winbox. It will ask whether to keep this configuration or clean it to use your own.
Reset button
The reset button has three functions:
• Hold this button during boot time until LED light starts flashing, release the button to reset
RouterOS configuration (total 5 seconds)
• Keep holding for 5 more seconds, LED turns solid, release now to turn on CAPs mode for
managing the unit from a CAPsMAN server (total 10 seconds)
• Or Keep holding the button for 5 more seconds until until LED turns off, then release it to
make the RouterBOARD look for Netinstall servers (total 15 seconds)
Operating System Support
This device supports RouterOS and is preinstalled with a RouterOS license. Downgrading below the factory version is not supported. It is suggested to upgrade RouterOS before using the device.

To remove the COVER perform steps 4 and 5 in opposite order and direction.
4), 5) Fix enclosure COVER by following steps visible in picture above.
1) Mark (use enclosure BASE) and drill two holes.
2) Place STEEL BRACKET on the oposite side of panel, fix enclosure BASE to ceiling panel with 2 included screws
3) Connect LAN cable. Use only self crimped connectors.

To remove the COVER perform steps 5 and 6 in opposite order and direction.
5), 6) Fix enclosure COVER by following steps visible in picture above.
1) Mark (use enclosure BASE) and drill two holes. Recomended drill bit diameter is 4,5mm.
2) Plug included plastic wall anchors in drilled holes.
3) Fix enclosure BASE to wall with 2 included screws.
4) Connect LAN cable. Use only self crimped connectors.
