Optional accessories
Bottle rack
Bottles can be stored horizontally using the bottle rack to save space. The bottle rack can be placed at different positions in the appliance.
Split shelf
In order to accommodate tall items in the appliance, one of the shelves is divided. The front section can be pushed under the rear section.
Optional accessories are available from Miele or via the internet.
Microfibre cloth
The microfibre cloth is suitable for removing fingerprints and light soiling from surfaces such as stainless steel, glass, plastic and chrome without the use of chemicals.

Caring for the environment
Disposal of the packing material
The packaging is designed to protect the appliance from damage during transportation. The packaging materials used are selected from materials which are environmentally friendly for disposal and should be recycled.
Recycling the packaging reduces the use of raw materials in the manufacturing process and also reduces the amount of waste in landfill sites.
Disposal of your old appliance
Electrical and electronic appliances often contain valuable materials. They also contain materials which, if handled or disposed of incorrectly, could be potentially hazardous to human health and to the environment. They are, however, essential for the correct functioning of your appliance. Please do not therefore dispose of it with your household waste.
Please dispose of it at your local community waste collection / recycling centre or contact your dealer for advice. Ensure that it presents no danger to children while being stored for disposal.
Take care not to damage the pipework at the back of it before or during transportation to an authorised collection depot. In this way, refrigerant in the pipework and oil in the compressor will be contained, and will not leak out into the environment.

To avoid the risk of accidents and damage to the appliance, please read these instructions carefully before installation and before using it for the first time. They contain important information on installation, safety, use and maintenance.
Miele cannot be held liable for damage caused by non-compliance with these Warning and Safety instructions.
Keep these instructions in a safe place and ensure that new users are familiar with the content. Pass them on to any future owner.
Correct application
The appliance is intended for use in domestic households and
~
similar working and residential environments. It is not intended for outdoor use.
This appliance is intended for domestic use only for cooling and
~
storing food and drink. Any other usage is not supported by the manufacturer and could be dangerous.

The appliance is not suitable for storing and keeping cool
~
medicines, blood plasma, laboratory preparations or other such materials or products. Incorrect use of the appliance for such purposes can cause deterioration of the items stored. The appliance is also not suitable for use in areas susceptible to explosion. Miele cannot be held liable for any damage resulting from incorrect or improper use or operation.
The appliance can only be used by people with reduced
~
physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, if they are supervised whilst using it, or have been shown how to use it in a safe way and recognise and understand the consequences of incorrect operation.
Safety with children
Children under 8 years of age must be kept away from the
~
appliance unless they are constantly supervised.
Children 8 years and older may only use the appliance
~
unsupervised if they have been shown how to use it in a safe way and recognise and understand the consequences of incorrect operation.
Children must not be allowed to clean or maintain the appliance

unsupervised.
Please supervise children in the vicinity of the appliance and do

not let them play with it.

Danger of suffocation. Packaging, e.g. plastic wrappings, must
~
be kept out of the reach of babies and children. Whilst playing, children could become entangled in packaging or pull it over their head and suffocate.
Technical safety
The coolant system is tested for leaks. The appliance complies
~
with statutory safety requirements and the appropriate EU guidelines.
This appliance contains the coolant Isobutane (R600a), a natural
~
gas which is environmentally friendly. Although it is flammable, it does not damage the ozone layer and does not increase the greenhouse effect. The use of this coolant has, however, led to a slight increase in the noise level of the appliance. In addition to the noise of the compressor, you might be able to hear the coolant flowing around the system. This is unavoidable, and does not have any adverse effect on the performance of the appliance. Care must be taken during the transportation and installation of the appliance that no parts of the cooling system are damaged. Leaking refrigerant can damage the eyes. In the event of any damage:
avoid any flames or anything which creates a spark,
disconnect the appliance from the electricity supply,
ventilate the room where the appliance is located for several minutes, and
call the Service Department.

The more coolant there is in an appliance, the larger the room it
~
should be installed in. In the event of a leakage, if the appliance is in a small room, there is the danger of combustible gases building up. For every8gofcoolant at least 1 m amount of coolant in the appliance is stated on the data plate inside the appliance.
To avoid the risk of damage to the appliance, make sure that the
~
connection data (fuse rating, frequency and voltage) on the data plate corresponds to the household supply. Check that this is the case before connecting the appliance. Consult a qualified electrician if in any doubt.
The electrical safety of this appliance can only be guaranteed
~
when it is correctly earthed. It is essential that this standard safety requirement is met. If in any doubt, please have the electrical installation tested by a qualified electrician.
If the electrical connection cable is faulty it must only be replaced
~
by a Miele approved service technician to protect the user from danger.

The appliance must be disconnected from the mains electricity

supply during installation, maintenance and repair work. Ensure that power is not supplied to the appliance until after it has been installed or until after any maintenance or repair work has been carried out.
Unauthorised installation, maintenance and repairs can cause
~
considerble danger to users. Installation, maintenance and repair work must only be carried out by a Miele authorised technician.
While the appliance is under guarantee, repairs should only be
~
undertaken by a Miele authorised service technician. Otherwise the guarantee is invalidated.
Miele can only guarantee the safety of the appliance when
~
original Miele replacement parts are used. Faulty components must only be replaced by genuine Miele original spare parts.

Correct use
The appliance is designed for use within certain climate ranges
~
(ambient temperatures), and should not be used outside this range. The climate range of the appliance is stated on the data plate inside the appliance. Installing it in a room with too low an ambient temperature will lead to the appliance switching off for longer periods so that it cannot maintain the required temperature.
Do not cover or block the air vents as this could impair the
~
efficiency of the appliance, increase the electricity consumption and could cause damage to the appliance.
If storing food which contains a lot of fat or oil in the appliance or
~
the door, make sure that it does not come into contact with plastic components as this could cause stress cracks or break the plastic.
Do not store explosive materials in the appliance or any products
~
containing propellants (e.g. spray cans). Electrical components could cause flammable vapours to ignite. Danger of fire and explosion.
Do not operate any electrical equipment (e.g. an electric
~
ice-cream maker) inside the appliance. Danger of sparking and explosion.
If storing alcohol with a high percentage proof, make sure it is
~
tightly closed and stored upright. Danger of explosion.

Observe the manufacturer's "use-by" dates and storage
~
instructions given on food to avoid the risk of food poisoning. Storage times will depend on several factors, including the freshness and quality of the food as well as the temperature at which it is stored.
Only use genuine original Miele accessories with this appliance.
~
Using spare parts or accessories from other manufacturers will invalidate the guarantee, and Miele cannot accept liability.
Cleaning and care
Do not use any oils or grease on the door seal, as these will
~
cause the seal to deteriorate and become porous with time.
Do not use a steam cleaning appliance to clean this appliance.
~
Steam could reach electrical components and cause a short circuit.
Do not use sharp edged objects to
~
– remove frost and ice,
– lift frozen food and remove ice trays.
They will damage the evaporator, causing irreversible damage to the appliance.
Never place electric heaters or candles in the appliance to
~
defrost it. These can damage the plastic parts.
Do not use defrosting sprays or de-icers, as they might contain
~
substances which could damage the plastic parts or which could cause a build-up of gases and pose a danger to health.

Disposal of your old appliance
Before disposing of an old appliance, first make the door latch or
~
lock unusable. This way you will prevent children from accidentally locking themselves in and endangering their lives.
Be careful not to damage any part of the pipework whilst awaiting
~
disposal, e.g. by
puncturing the refrigerant channels in the evaporator,
bending any pipework,
– scratching the surface coating.
Leaking refrigerant can damage the eyes.

How to save energy
Normal energy consumption
Use Drawers, shelves and racks
arranged as they were when the appliance was delivered.
Only open the door when necessary and for as short a time as possible.
Store food in an organised way.
Take an insulated cool bag with you when shopping and place food in the appliance as soon as possible.
Replace any food removed as quickly as possible, before it begins to thaw.
Allow hot food and drinks to cool down before placing them in the appliance.
Increased energy consumption
Frequent opening of the door for long periods will cause a loss of coldness. The appliance works harder to cool down and the compressor runs for longer periods.
Hot food or food at room temperature raises the temperature inside the appliance. The appliance works harder to cool down and the compressor runs for longer periods.
Store food covered or packaged.
Place frozen food in the refrigerator to defrost.
Do not over-fill the appliance to allow air to circulate.
The evaporation or condensation of liquids will cause a loss of coldness in the refrigerator.

Switching on and off
Before using for the first time
Protective foil
The stainless steel trim to the interior shelves and the door shelves has a layer of protective foil to prevent damage during transportation.
Carefully remove the protective foil

from the stainless steel trim.
Cleaning
Clean the inside of the appliance and
^
the accessories. See "Cleaning and care" for more information.
Accessory - Bottle holder
Switching on
Press the On/Off button.
^
The temperature display lights up, the appliance starts cooling and the interior light will come on when the door is opened.
To enable the temperature to get sufficiently cold inside the appliance, allow the appliance to run for a few hours before placing food in it.
Switching off
^ Press the On/Off button until the
display goes out.
^
Attach the bottle holder centrally along the rear edge of the bottle shelf, as shown.
The flexible ribs grip the bottles securely when the door is opened and closed.

The cooling system is switched off. If this does not happen, the safety lock is still activated (see "Selecting settings ­To deactivate the lock").

Switching off for longer periods of time
If the appliance is not going to be used for a longer period of time, e.g. whilst on holiday:
switch the appliance off,

disconnect it from the mains,
^
clean the appliance out and
^
leave the door ajar to air the
^
appliance.
If, during a long absence, the appliance is switched off but not cleaned out and the door is left shut, there is a danger of mould and odours building up inside the appliance.

The correct temperature
It is very important to set the correct temperature for storing food in the appliance. Micro-organisms will cause food which is not stored at the correct temperature to deteriorate rapidly. Temperature influences the growth rate of these micro-organisms. Reducing the temperature reduces their growth rate.
The temperature in the appliance will rise:
the more often the door is opened
and the longer it is kept open,
– the more food that is stored in it,
– the warmer the food is which is being
put into it,
– the higher the ambient temperature
surrounding the appliance. The appliance is designed for use in specific ambient temperatures (climate ranges). Do not use in ambient temperatures for which it is not designed.

We recommend a temperature of 4°C in the refrigerator.

Temperature display
The temperature display on the control panel always shows the
required temperature.
Setting the temperature
The correct temperature
Press the temperature selector button
^
repeatedly until the temperature you want lights up in the display.
If the appliance door is opened very often, or if large quantities of food are being stored in the appliance, or if there is a high ambient temperature, it is advisable to set the temperature between 3°C and 5°C.
The temperature can be adjusted from 9°C to 1°C.
The first time you press the button the last temperature selected will flash in the display.
The temperature value will change until the setting for 9°C is reached. It will then drop back to the 1°C setting.
The newly selected temperature will be adopted automatically after a short while. The temperature in the appliance will adjust slowly until it is at this value.

The lock is activated or deactivated in Settings mode.

Using Super cool and Dynamic cooling
Super cool
The Super cool function can be used to rapidly reduce the temperature in the refrigerator to its lowest setting (depending on the room temperature).
Super cool is particularly recommended for the faster chilling of large amounts of fresh food or drink.
Switching on Super cool
^ Press the Super cool button.
The Super cool symbol ª will light up. The appliance will work at full power to lower the temperature in the appliance.
Switching off Super cool
The Super cool function will switch itself off automatically after approx. 12 hours. The Super cool symbol ª will go out and the appliance will run at normal power again.
Dynamic cooling
When the Dynamic cooling function is not switched on, the natural circulation of air in the appliance will cause different temperature zones in the refrigerator as the cold, heavy air will sink to the lowest section of the appliance. You should bear this in mind when placing food in the appliance (see "Storing food in the refrigerator"). However, if you are placing a large amount of food in the refrigerator at any one time, it is a good idea to switch on Dynamic cooling. This way you can distribute the temperature inside the appliance to all areas more evenly so that all the food will be chilled to about the same degree. The temperature is set as normal with the temperature selector button.
Dynamic cooling should also be selected when:
– the ambient temperature in the room
is high (above approx. 30°C), and
the room humidity level is high (e.g. during summer).
To save energy, the Super cool function can be switched off once food and drinks are sufficiently chilled.
^
Press the Super cool button. The Super cool symbol ª will go out.
The appliance will run at normal power again.

The Dynamic cooling symbol ¢ will light up. The Dynamic cooling fan is now ready to operate. It will switch on automatically when the compressor switches on.

To save energy, the Dynamic cooling fan switches off automatically whilst the door is open.

Storing food in the refrigerator
Different storage zones
Due to the natural circulation of the air in the appliance, there are different temperature zones in the refrigerator. Cold, heavy air sinks to the lowest section of the appliance. Make use of the different zones when placing food in the appliance.
This appliance has dynamic cooling, which helps to keep an even temperature when the fan is running. For this reason, the difference between the various zones is less pronounced.
Warmest area
The warmest area is in the top section at the front and in the door. Use this for storing butter and cheese.
Coldest area
The coldest area is directly above the fruit and vegetable containers or above the fruit and vegetable drawers (depending on model) and at the back of the appliance.
Use this for all delicate and highly perishable food, e.g.
– fish, meat, poultry,
– sausage products, ready meals,
– dishes or baked goods containing
eggs or cream,
– fresh dough, cake mixtures, pizza or
quiche dough,
– soft cheese and other dairy
products,

pre-packed vegetables and other fresh food with a label stating it should be kept at a temperature of approx. 4 °C.

Do not store explosive materials in the appliance or any products containing propellants (e.g. spray cans). Danger of explosion.
If storing alcohol with a high percentage proof, make sure it is tightly closed, and store upright.
If storing food which contains a lot of fat or oil in the appliance or the door, make sure it does not come into contact with plastic components as this could cause stress cracks or break the plastic.
Food must not touch the back wall of the appliance, as it may freeze to the back wall.
To allow air to circulate efficiently, do not pack food too closely together in the refrigerator. Do not cover the fan in the rear wall of the refrigerator, as this is essential for keeping the appliance cool.
Food which is not suitable for storing in the refrigerator
Not all food is suitable for storing in a refrigerator at temperatures below 5 °C, as some food is sensitive to cold. The appearance, consistency, taste and / or the vitamin content of certain foods can be adversely affected by being stored in too cold a place.
Food which does not tolerate cold temperatures includes:
Pineapples, avocados, bananas,
pomegranates, mangos, melons, papayas, passion fruit, citrus fruit (such as lemons, oranges, mandarins, grapefruit),
– Fruit which is not yet ripe,
– Aubergines/egg plant, cucumber,
potatoes, peppers/capiscum, tomatoes, courgettes/zucchini,
– Some hard cheeses, e.g. Parmesan.

Storing food in the refrigerator
When shopping for food
The freshness of food when first placed in the appliance is an important factor in determining how long it stays fresh, and how long it can be kept in the refrigerator. Always observe the use-by date and the recommended storage temperature. Time out of the refrigerator, e.g. during transportation, should be kept to a minimum. For example, do not allow food to stay in a hot car for too long. Tip: Take a cool bag with you when shopping and on return place food into the appliance immediately.
Storing food correctly
Food should generally be stored covered or packaged. This will prevent food smells from affecting other food, food from drying out, and also any cross-contamination of bacteria. This is particularly important for protein-based foods such as meat or fish. The growth of bacteria, such as salmonella, can be avoided by setting the correct temperature and maintaining good standards of hygiene.
Fruit and vegetables
Fruit and vegetables can be stored loose in the fruit and vegetable containers or drawers (depending on model).
Protein rich foods
Please note that foods rich in protein deteriorate faster than others. Shellfish, for example, deteriorates faster than fish, and fish deteriorates faster than meat.

Adjusting the interior fittings
Adjusting the door shelf/bottle shelf
Push the door/bottle shelf upwards,
^
then remove it by pulling it forwards.
Replace the door/bottle shelf at the
^
required position. Ensure that it is pushed back into position securely.
Moving the bottle holder
The bottle holder can be moved to the left or right to create more room for drinks cartons, for example.
The bottle holder can be removed completely (e.g. for cleaning).
Moving the shelves
The shelves can be adjusted according to the height of the food.
Raise the shelf slightly at the front,
^
and pull it forwards a little until the notch at the side is in line with the shelf support. It can then be raised or lowered to the required level.
The raised edge of the protective strip at the back of the shelf must face upwards to prevent food from touching the back of the appliance and freezing to it.
Stoppers prevent the shelves from being dislodged by mistake.
^
Push the bottle shelf upwards, then remove it by pulling it forwards.
^
Pull the bottle holder upwards to remove it from the rear edge of the bottle shelf.

Adjusting the interior fittings
Fruit and vegetable drawer
(depending on model)
The fruit and vegetable drawer is on telescopic runners, and can be removed for filling, emptying or cleaning purposes.
Pull out the drawer as far as it will go,
^
and then lift it up and out.
Push the runners back in again to avoid damaging them.
Fitting the drawer
^ Push the runners in completely and
then place the drawer on them.
^ Push the drawer into the appliance
until it clicks into position.

The refrigerator section defrosts automatically.
Condensate and frost can build up on the back wall of the refrigerator section whilst the compressor is running. You do not need to remove this, as it will defrost and evaporate automatically with the warmth generated by the compressor.
The condensate is drained away via a channel and drain hole into an evaporation system at the back of the appliance.
Ensure that the condensate channel and drain hole are kept clean and are never blocked so that condensate can flow away without hindrance.

Cleaning and care
Do not let water get into the electronic unit or into the light.
Do not let water get into the condensate channel and drain hole when cleaning.
Do not use steam cleaning apparatus to clean the appliance. Steam could reach electrical components and cause a short circuit.
The data plate located inside the appliance must not be removed. It contains information which is required in the event of a service call.
To avoid damaging the surfaces of your appliance, do not use:
– cleaning agents containing soda,
ammonia, acids or chlorides,
cleaning agents containing descaling agents,
abrasive cleaning agents, e.g. powder cleaners and cream cleaners,
solvent-based cleaning agents,
stainless steel cleaning agents,
dishwasher cleaner,
oven sprays,
sharp metal scrapers.
Before cleaning
Switch off the appliance.
^
The display will go out and the cooling system will switch off. If this does not happen the lock is active (see "Selecting settings - To deactivate the lock").
Disconnect the appliance from the
^
mains electricity supply.
Take any food out of the appliance
^
and store it in a cool place.
^ Take out any removable parts for
cleaning.
Adjustable shelves
Before cleaning the shelves remove the stainless steel trim at the front and the protective strip at the back of the shelf. To do this:

Cleaning the interior and accessories
The appliance should be cleaned regularly, at least once a month.
Remove any obvious soiling immedi ately and do not let it dry on.
Clean the interior surfaces and

accessories with a solution of lukewarm water and a little washing-up liquid. After cleaning, wipe with clean water and dry with a soft cloth.
The following are dishwasher safe:

The temperature of the dishwasher programme must not exceed 55°C. Contact with some foodstuffs, such as carrots, tomatoes or ketchup can cause plastic items to discolour. However, this discolouration will not affect the stability of plastic items.
Door seal
Do not use any oils or grease on the door seal as these will cause the seal to deteriorate and become porous over time.

Some minor problems can be corrected without contacting Miele. The following overview is designed to help you resolve these yourself. If having followed the suggestions below, you still cannot resolve the problem, please contact Miele.
To prevent unnecessary loss of temperature it is advisable not to open the door of the appliance while waiting for it to be serviced.
Unauthorised installation, maintenance and repairs can cause considerble danger to users. Installation, maintenance and repair work must only be carried out by a Miele authorised technician.

Interior lighting

The LED lighting may only be repaired or replaced by a Miele service technician. There are live electrical components under the cover. Danger of injury and damage to the appliance.
Do not remove the lighting cover. If the cover is damaged or needs to be removed due to damage, exercise caution. There are lasers in the lighting (laser beam class 1M) which you should avoid looking at directly. Do not use optical instruments (magnifying glass or similar) to look at the lighting either.

Noises
Normal noises What causes them
Brrrrr... Humming noise made by the motor (compressor). This noise
can get louder for brief periods when the motor is switching on.
Blubb, blubb.... A gurgling noise can be heard when coolant is circulating
through the pipes.
Click.... Clicking sounds are made when the thermostat switches the
motor on and off.
Sssrrrrr.... On multi-zone and frost-free appliances you can sometimes just
hear the movement of air circulating inside the appliance.
On appliances with a water container, the pump makes a humming noise when water is being drawn into the water container.
Creak ... Creaking sounds can be heard when material inside the
appliance expands.
Remember that the noise of the compressor and the coolant circulating in the system is unavoidable.

Electrical connection

All electrical work should be carried out by a suitably qualified and competent person in strict accordance with current local and national safety regulations (BS 7671 in the UK).
The appliance is supplied with a mains cable and moulded plug ready for connection to an a.c. single phase 220-240 V 50 Hz supply.
Please ensure that the connection data quoted on the data plate match the household mains supply.
Connection should be made via a suitable switched socket which is easily accessible. It must not be located behind the appliance. For extra safety it is advisable to protect the appliance with a suitable residual current device (RCD).
Do not connect the appliance to the mains electricity supply by an extension lead. Extension leads do not guarantee the required safety of the appliance (e.g. danger of overheating).
This appliance must not be connected to the inverter of an autonomous power supply, e.g. a solar power system. When switching the appliance on, a surge in power could trigger the safety cut-out mechanism. This could damage the electronic unit.
If the connection cable has to be replaced, this must be done by a suitably qualified and competent person.
Do not plug other appliances in behind this appliance
Non-rewireable plugs (BS 1363)
The fuse cover must be re-fitted when changing the fuse, and if the fuse cover is lost, the plug must not be used until a suitable replacement is obtained. The colour of the correct replacement cover is that of the coloured insert in the base of the plug, or the colour that is embossed in words in the base of the plug (as applicable to the design of the plug fitted).
Replacement fuses should be ASTA approved to BS 1362 and have the correct rating. Replacement fuses and fuse covers may be purchased from your local electrical supplier.

The appliance must not be used with so-called energy saving devices. These reduce the energy supply to the appliance which could then become too warm. Using such devices could alter the specification of the product.

Side-by-side
KS 35222 iD, KS 37222 iD refrigerators have two foamed in side-wall heaters enabling them to be installed side-by-side with other appliances. Each appliance must be installed in its own niche.
Your dealer will be able to advise you on which combination of models is possible.
Location
This appliance should not be installed where it is exposed to direct sunlight or directly adjacent to a heat-producing appliance such as an oven or a radiator. The higher the ambient temperature of the room, the more energy the appliance requires to operate. The appliance should be installed in a dry well ventilated room.
When installing the appliance please be aware:
Important. In environments with high humidity condensation can
build up on the exterior of the appliance. This can cause corrosion of the appliance walls. For prevention, it is advisable to install the appliance with sufficient ventilation in a dry and /or air-conditioned room. Make sure that the appliance door closes properly, the ventilation gaps are not covered and the appliance is installed in accordance with these installation instructions.

Ventilation
Specified ventilation gaps must be maintained. Otherwise the compressor will come on more frequently and for longer, resulting in an increase in electricity consumption and also an increase in the operating temperature of the compressor, which can damage it.
Air at the back of the appliance gets warm. The appliance housing unit must be constructed to allow sufficient space for ventilation.
The cross-sectional area for
ventilation in the plinth and the housing unit and also beneath the ceiling needs to be at least 200 cm throughout to ensure that warm air can be drawn through unhindered.
Important. The appliance uses less
energy the larger the ventilation cross-section.
The ventilation gaps must not be covered or blocked in any way. They should be dusted on a regular basis.

Does your old appliance have a different hinging mechanism?
If your old appliance had a different type of hinging, the furniture door can still be used. Remove the old hinges from the housing unit. They are no longer required because the furniture door is now fitted to the appliance door. All the necessary parts are supplied or can be ordered from the Miele.

Adjusting the door hinges
The door hinges are set ex-works to enable the door to be opened wide.
However, if the opening angle of the door needs to be limited for any reason, the hinge can be adjusted to accommodate this.
If the appliance door fouls an
adjacent wall when opened, for example, the opening angle can be limited to 90°.
^ Place the locking pins supplied for
limiting the door opening into the hinges from above.
The door opening angle is now limited to 90°.

these must be taken into account when making sure there is a gap all round of 42 mm.

The hinges and the covers will now protrude by the dimension of the door fitting.
Tip: Remove the door fittings. This will ensure that the door is flush with the surrounding kitchen unit furniture doors.

If the all round gap of 42 mm is not maintained between the appliance casing and the front edge of the housing unit side walls the door may not shut properly. This can cause ice to build up, condensate to accumulate and lead to faults in the appliance. These can all lead to increased energy consumption.
Securing the appliance in the niche

p Align the appliance on both sides by altering the adjustable feet using the spanner supplied.

Press the appliance against the side of the housing unit on the hinge side.

Secure the appliance in the housing unit by screwing chip board screws s through the tabs on the hinges at the top and bottom of the appliance.

Fitting a furniture door
The furniture door must be at least 16 mm thick and not exceed 19 mm thick.
The following gap dimensions must be maintained:
The gap between the furniture door
and a unit door above must be at least 3 mm.
The vertical gap between furniture
doors should also be about 3 mm. The exact dimension will vary depending on the radius of the furniture door edges.
If fitted in a run of units make sure that the top edge of the furniture door is at the same height as neighbouring unit doors.
The furniture door must be fitted correctly and not under tension.
Fitting a door front which is heavier than the maximum permitted could damage the hinges. This can cause subsequent functional problems.
Before fitting a furniture door, ensure that the weight of the door does not exceed the maximum permitted:
