MIDLAND BT Remote
Thank you for purchasing the Midland BT Remote advanced wireless remote control system for your Midland intercom. The Midland BT Remote can be mounted to the handlebar of your motorcycle and control all the functions of your BT intercom devices.
Main features

If the red LED is ashing and the unit is not plugged into a charger, it means the battery is low� Please recharge the unit as soon as possible�
BT Remote description
The BT Remote has ve buttons on the front; the three main buttons are multi function buttons: the “Forward” button(on the top), the “Middle” button and the “Back” button(on the bottom)� The two small rounded buttons on the front are the “Volume +” and “Volume -”�
Ensure the BT Remote is fully charged before use� Charge the unit by inserting the mini USB cable in the charging plug (lift the rubber cover to insert the plug)� You can use any USB wall charger or use the USB port of your PC� The red LED light will turn on during charging� When the unit is fully charged, the red LED light will turn o�
Please note:
Every time the mini USB charging plug is inserted (or detached),
the device is automatically turned o� To use the BT Remote while it is charging, you should turn the device on when the plug is already inserted�

Mounting system description
The Midland BT Remote is easy to mount, just open and place it on the handle of your motorcycle� Close until it is rmly secured to the handle� To remove it, lift the lock point to open it�
Fixing system description
Midland BTRemote is very easy to fix, just open it and place it on the left handle. Close it until is quite firm on the handle. To remove it just lift the lock point and open it.

Press and hold the “Middle” button for 3 seconds until the LED indicator turns blue�
Turning your Midland BT Remote on and o
Turning the unit on:
Press and hold the “Middle” and “Back” buttons together for 3 seconds until the LED indicator ashes red 3 times�

Operative mode
The Midland BT Remote duplicates the same exact functions as the 5 buttons available on the BT intercom units, therefore you can refer to the intercom manual�
Pairing the BT Remote
The Midland BT Remote can be paired to any Midland BT intercom unit�
The BT Remote is ready to be paired right out of the box:
Turn on the BT Remote (Press and hold the “Middle” button for 3 seconds,
the blue LED will start ashing)
Turn on the Midland intercom unit�
Press any button on the BT Remote (must be within 3 minutes after you
turn on the Midland intercom unit)� The two devices will search for each other and will automatically pair� Once the pairing procedure is completed, it does not need to be repeated again� If the pairing procedure fails, repeat the procedure again� If the pairing still does not work, perform the pairing reset procedure (see the “Reset the pairing” paragraph) and then repeat the “First time pairing” procedure�
First time pairing
To use the BT Remote, switch it on and press any button (make sure your Midland intercom is on) to ensure connection� As soon as the blue LED starts double ashing, you can begin using your BT Remote�
Using the BT Remote
You may nd it necessary to delete all paired devices stored in the BT Remote:
Turn o the unit�
Press and hold down the “Middle” and “Volume +” buttons together, until
the blue LED turns on� Release the buttons and the blue LED will start ashing� Now all the pairing information is deleted and it is possible to start a new pairing session (as explained in the paragraph “First time pairing”):
While the blue LED is ashing, turn on the Midland intercom unit�
Press any button on the BT Remote (must be within 3 minutes after you
turn on the Midland intercom unit)� The two devices will search for each other and will automatically pair�
