2Getting Started
2.1Insert SIM Card
The X294 is a Dual SIM mobile phone allowing you to use two SIM Cards. To insert SIM card(s):
1.Switch off the mobile phone and remove the rear cover and battery.
2.Insert the SIM card correctly in the card slot(s) as shown below.
3. Finally, insert the battery and replace the rear cover of the mobile phone.

2.2 Insert Memory Card
To insert the memory card:
1.Switch off the phone and remove the rear cover and the battery.
2.insert the memory card as shown in the following diagram.
Recommendation: Use only compatible memory cards approved by Micromax. Incompatible cards may damage the slot or corrupt the data stored in the card.

3Basic Operations
3.1Switch Phone ON/OFF
To switch ON your phone, press and hold the End key for a few seconds.
To turn OFF your phone, press and hold down the End key for a few seconds.
If the phone lock has been activated, you need to enter the 4-digit password to unlock. (The preset unlock code is 0000.) If the SIM card has been inserted in the phone, and the related PIN code protection is activated, you need to enter the 4-8 digit password to unlock.
Warning: If you enter three wrong PIN codes in a row, the SIM card will be locked and you need to enter the PUK code to unlock it. Contact your network provider for the PIN and PUK code.
3.2 Make a call
You can make a call in the following ways:
Enter the desired number in standby mode and press the Call key.
Go to Menu > Phonebook and then select and call the desired number.
Just press the Call key in standby mode to call the contacts listed in Call logs.
You can also call a contact from the messages.

3.3 Answer a Call
Press the Answer key, or select Options > Answer to answer a call.
3.4 Start a Call Conference
You can talk with more than one person at the same time through call conference.
1.While on a call, dial another contact. Once the new call gets connected, the first call will be put on hold.
2.After this, press Options and then choose Conference.
Note: This is network dependent and you may need to contact your network operator to activate this feature.
4 Phonebook
Your phonebook stores all your saved contacts for anytime access. Your phonebook data can be stored in your SIM card or your phone memory. You can access your phonebook by going to:
Menu > Phonebook
You can press the right and left navigation keys to access the phonebook tabs which shows you: All List: All contacts existing in phone and SIM Card(s).

Phone list: Contacts existing in phone memory.
SIM1 list: Contacts existing in SIM1 memory.
SIM2 list: Contacts existing in SIM2 memory.
Caller Groups: Allows you to create a new caller group with common preferences.
4.1Add New Contact
You can add new contacts to the Phone List, SIM 1, SIM 2.
Menu > Phonebook
To add a new contact:
1.Select Menu> Phonebook>Add new contact.
2.Select any of the SIMs, or phone memory for saving the contact.
3.Enter the contact name and number.
4.Save the number.
4.2Search for a Contact
To search for a contact:
Menu > Phonebook and then type in the first few letters of the search bar.

4.3 Send Text Message
Menu > Phonebook
Highlight a number, press Options and then select Send Text message.
4.4 Call a Contact
Menu > Phonebook > Options > Call
Search or highlight a contact in phonebook and make a call. Alternatively
While in standby mode, just type in the desired number and press the Dial key.
4.5 Send Multimedia Message
Menu> Phonebook> Options
On the highlighted number, press Options and then select Send multimedia message.
4.6 Send Vcard
Menu > Phonebook > Options > Send vCard
Allows you to send business card via SMS, MMS, or Bluetooth to other contacts.
