ImportantSafety Instructions
WARNINGS:
1. Read Instruct ions -A ll the safety and operating i nstructions must be read bef ore the product is operated.
2. Retain Instru ctions - The safety and operati ng instructions should be ke pt with the product for future reference.
3. Heed warnings - All wa rnings on the product and in the o perating instructions sh ould be adhered to.
4. Follow instru ctions - All operating and users in structions should be follo wed.
5. Installatio n - Install in accordance wit h the manufacturer's instr uctions.
6. Power sources - Th is product should be operate d only from the type of power sour ce indicated by the marking adjac ent to the power cord entry. If you are not s ure of the type of power supply to y our home, consult your pr oduct dealer or local power c ompany.
7. Grounding or po larization - the product is n ot required to be grounded. En sure the plug is fully inserted into t he wall outlet or extension c ord receptacle to prevent bl ade or pin exposure. Some versions of the p roduct are equipped with a po wer cord fitted with a polariz ed alternating line plug (a plug having one b lade wide than the other). This p lug will fit onto the power outl et only one way. This is a safety featu re. If you are unable to insert th e plug fully into the outlet, tr y reversing the plug. If the plug should sti ll fail to fit, contact your ele ctrician to replace your ob solete outlet. Do not defeat t he safety purpos e of the polarized plug. When us ing an extension power-su pply cord or a power-supply co rd other than that s upplied with the applianc e, it should be fitted with the ap propriate molded plugs and c arry safety approv al appropriate to the countr y of use.
8. Power cord prot ection - Power-supply cor ds should be routed so that they a re not likely to be walked on, kinked or pinch ed by items placed on or agains t them, paying particular at tention to cords from plugs, receptacles a nd the point where they exit fro m the appliance.
9. Overloading - D o not overload wall outlets , extension cords or multipl e sockets, as this can result in a r isk of fire or electri c shock.
10. Ventilatio n -T he product must be properly ve ntilated. Do not place the pro duct on a bed, sofa, or other simi lar surface. Do not c over the product with any item s such as tablecloths, news papers, etc.
11. Heat - The pr oduct should be situated awa y from heat sources such as radi ators, heat registers, sto ves, or other product s including amplifiers th at produce heat. No naked flam e sources, such as lighted can dles, should be place d on the apparatus.
12. Water and mo isture - To reduce the ris k of fire or electric shock, do no t expose the product to train, d ripping, splashing or ex cessive moisture such as in a s auna or bathroom. Do not use thi s product near water, for example, near a b athtub, washbowl, kitch en sink, laundry tub, in a wet bas ement, or near a swimming pool , or etc.
13. Object a nd Liquid Entry - Never push obj ects of any kind into this prod uct through openings, as the y may touch dangero us voltage points or short- circuit parts that could res ult in a fire or electric shock. N ever spill liquid of any kin d on the product. Do not place an y object containing liquid o n top of the product.
14. Cleani ng - Unplug the product from the w all outlet before cleanin g.T he cabinet of the subwoofer ma y be cleaned by dust ing with a dry cloth. If you wish to u se an aerosol cleaning spra y, do not spray dire ctly on the cabinet; spra y onto the cloth. Be careful not t o damage the drive units.
15. Attach ments - Do not use attachments n ot recommended by the produc t manufacturers, as they may c ause hazards.
