IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS:
- Read this instruction manual carefully before using the appliance and keep it for future reference.
- Ensure that the voltage on the rating label corresponds with the wall socket voltage before inserting the plug.
- Position the appliance on an even, stable, flat surface, which can withstand high temperatures, away from other heat sources and possible water splashes.
- Keep the appliance away from flammable material such as textiles, cardboard or paper, etc.
- Do not insert the plug into the wall socket if there is no cooking oil inside the container.
- Adhere to the “MAX” and “MIN” levels (Fig. 1).
- Do not use the appliance if the power supply cord or plug is damaged.
- Connect the appliance to an earthed wall socket.
- Do not allow the power supply cord to hang over an edge or to come into contact with sharp, rough or hot surfaces.
- To remove the plug from the wall socket, switch off the appliance first, then remove the plug from the wall socket. Do not pull on the power supply cord to remove the plug from the wall socket.
- Never try to carry or pull the appliance using the power supply cord.

- Allow the appliance to cool down before undertaking any cleaning task.
- Never touch the plug, power supply cord or the appliance with wet hands.
- This appliance is for household use only, not industrial or professional use.
- This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
- Never leave the appliance unattended while in use and keep out of the reach of children as this is an electrical appliance that heats oil to high temperatures and may cause serious burns.
- Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
- If using fat instead of cooking oil, this must be melted beforehand in a separate container. Ensure that you adhere to the “Min“ and ”Max” levels.
- If the fat has hardened in the fryer, create holes in the solidified fat to allow any excess water to be released as steam when heating at the minimum thermostat temperature.
- Do not move the appliance whilst in operation or if the oil is still hot. When the fryer is cold, carry it by the handles (Fig. 2).
- If, for some reason, the oil were to ignite, remove the plug from the wall socket and extinguish the fire by closing the lid.
NEVER USE WATER TO EXTINGUISH THE FIRE.
- When the thermostat control dial is on the minimum setting, the appliance is still on.
- Do not use or store the appliance outdoors.

- Any inappropriate use or non-compliance with the operating instructions renders the warranty and the manufacturer’s liability null and void.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:
- Open the cover.
- Remove the basket and attach the handle by pivoting until the rods engage in the housing (Fig. 3).
- Before using the appliance for the first time, wash the basket and bowl with soapy water, rinse well to remove any soap and then dry.
- Pour oil up to the mark indicating the “MAX” level on the bowl (Fig. 1).
- Insert the plug into the wall socket.
- Select the required frying temperature using the thermostat control dial.
- The red pilot light will switch on to indicate that the oil is being heated (electricity is saved by closing the lid as this will allow the oil to heat up quicker).
- Prepare the food to be fried and place it in the basket. Ensure that the basket is only filled to 3/4 of its capacity.
- Allow the food to drain before placing it in the basket.
- If the food is frozen, the food should be defrosted. The frying of frozen food or food with significant water content can cause the oil to suddenly splash when submerging the basket in the oil container.
- The pilot light will switch off to indicate that the oil has reached the correct temperature. During the frying process, the pilot will switch on and off to maintain the selected temperature.
- Slowly submerge the basket in the oil container to avoid overflowing and splashing. Fry with the lid open or closed, as desired.
- When the food has been fried sufficiently, remove the basket from the oil container and position it on the support clip, to allow the excess oil to drain from the food (Fig. 4).
- Empty the basket.
- Change the oil after approximately 3 - 5 frying cycles, or when the oil starts to turn dark. When re-using oil make sure that it has been strained to remove any food particles.
ALWAYS EXCERCISE EXTREME CAUTION WHEN COOKING WITH A DEEP FAT
FRYER AND WHEN USING HOT OIL.
AFTER FRYING:
- Select the minimum position “MIN” using the thermostat control dial.

- Clean the oil container and basket with soapy water, then rinse with clean water and dry.
- Place the basket inside the oil container. The basket handle can be left out or can be folded inside the basket.
- To place the handle inside the basket, hold the basket firmly with one hand and use the other hand to push the handle out of the slots.
- Close the lid.
PRACTICAL ADVICE:
- Fry a few pieces of bread to remove the smell of used oil.
- For food with a high water content, it is better and quicker to fry the food in a lower quantity. This will reduce the risk of oil splashes.
- The “two-stage frying method” can be used for a more even and crispy coating.
- Canola or sunflower oil is recommended for frying.
