Mit dem Epiliergerät EPG haben Sie ein Qualitätsprodukt von MEDISANA
erworben.
Damit Sie den gewünschten Erfolg erzielen und recht lange Freude an Ihrem
MEDISANA Epiliergerät EPG haben, empfehlen wir Ihnen, die nachstehenden
Hinweise zum Gebrauch und zur Pflege sorgfältig zu lesen
Lesen Sie die folgenden Sicherheitshinweise sorgfältig
durch, bevor Sie das Gerät einsetzen und bewahren Sie
die Gebrauchsanweisung für die weitere Nutzung auf.
Beachten Sie Folgendes:
• Bevor Sie das Gerät an Ihre Stromversorgung anschließen, achten Sie darauf
dass die auf dem Typenschild angegebene Netzspannung mit der Ihres
Stromnetzes übereinstimmt.
• Benutzen Sie das Gerät nur entsprechend seiner Bestimmung laut Gebrauchsanweisung.
•
Das Gerät ist nicht für den kommerziellen Gebrauch bestimmt.
•
Benutzen Sie das Gerät nicht im Freien.
• Benutzen Sie das Gerät nicht in Räumen, in denen Aerosole (Sprays) verwendet werden oder reiner Sauerstoff verabreicht wird.
• Lassen Sie das Gerät nicht unbeaufsichtigt in der Reichweite von Kindern.
Elektrische Geräte sind kein Spielzeug.
• Im Falle von Störungen reparieren Sie das Gerät nicht selbst und benutzen Sie
es nicht weiter. Fragen Sie Ihren Fachhändler, und lassen Sie Reparaturen nur
von autorisierten Servicestellen durchführen.
• Sie selbst dürfen an dem Gerät nur Reinigungsarbeiten ausführen.
• Benutzen Sie ausschließlich für das Gerät vorgesehene und vom Hersteller mitgelieferte Zubehörteile. Verwenden Sie ausschließlich den mit dem Gerät gelieferten Netzadapter.
• Das Entfernen oder Aufsetzen der Zubehörteile ist nur bei ausgeschaltetem
Gerät gestattet.
Beim Betrieb elektrischer Geräte mit Netzteilen beachten Sie besonders:
• Greifen Sie nicht nach einem Gerät, das ins Wasser gefallen ist. Ziehen Sie
sofort den Netzstecker bzw. das Netzteil aus der Steckdose.
• Lagern oder bewahren Sie kein elektrisches Gerät an Stellen auf, von denen
aus es in die Badewanne oder das Waschbecken fallen kann.
• Das Gerät sowie das Kabel und das Netzteil dürfen keinesfalls in Wasser
getaucht oder unter laufendes Wasser gehalten werden.
• Halten Sie das Gerät und das Netzkabel von heißen Oberflächen fern.
• Benutzen Sie das Gerät nicht, wenn das Netzkabel beschädigt ist, das Gerät
nicht einwandfrei funktioniert, wenn es herunter- oder ins Wasser gefallen
war oder beschädigt worden ist.
• Fassen Sie das Netzteil stets mit trockenen Händen an.

Empfehlungen
• Tragen, ziehen oder drehen Sie das Netzteil nie am Kabel, und klemmen Sie
das Kabel nie ein.
• Ziehen Sie das Netzteil aus der Steckdose, wenn das Gerät ausgeschaltet und
nicht mehr in Gebrauch ist.
• Setzen Sie bei Nichtgebrauch immer die Schutzkappe auf das Gerät.
• Bewahren Sie das Gerät immer in der mitgelieferten Aufbewahrungstasche
und in trockener Umgebung auf.
• Wenn Sie einen Herzschrittmacher, künstliche Gelenke oder elektronische
Implantate haben, halten Sie unbedingt zunächst Rücksprache mit Ihrem
Arzt.
• Personen mit folgenden Befunden sollten das Gerät grundsätzlich nicht
ohne ärztliche Beratung anwenden:
Ekzeme, Schuppenflechte, Prellungen, geschwollene oder entzündete Hautbereiche, Hautrisse oder Wunden, Akne, Herpes oder andere Hautinfektionen, Sonnenbrand, im Bereich von Muttermalen/Leberflecken, Rosazea,
Krampfadern, Venenentzündungen, Schwangerschaft, Diabetes, Bluterkrankheit, Immunschwäche, Durchblutungsstörungen und sonstigen Krankheiten. Wenden Sie sich auch im Zweifelsfall immer an Ihren Arzt.
• Die Verwendung eines Epiliergerätes kann zu Hautrötung oder -reizung
führen. Dies ist eine normale Reaktion, die rasch verschwindet. Wenn die
Reizung länger als drei Tage anhält, setzen Sie sich mit Ihrem Arzt in Verbindung.
• Lassen Sie das Gerät nie unbeaufsichtigt, wenn es ans Stromnetz angeschlossen ist, um Gefährdungen zu vermeiden.
• Dieses Gerät darf nicht an oder von Kindern verwendet werden.
• Das Gerät darf nicht am Kopfhaar, an den Augenwimpern und an den
Augenbrauen angewendet werden. Es besteht Verletzungsgefahr!
• Verhindern Sie Unfälle und Schäden am Gerät, indem Sie das Gerät im eingeschalteten Zustand von Kleidung, Borsten, Drähten, Schnüren, Schnürsenkel, Fäden usw. fernhalten.
• Reinigen Sie das Gerät vor jedem Gebrauch, um das Risiko von Entzündungen durch Bakterien zu verringern.
• Wenden Sie das Gerät nur auf trockener, sauberer und lotionsfreier Haut an.
• Das Gerät darf nur sanft über die Haut geführt werden. Wenden Sie es deshalb nicht bei anderen Personen an, und lassen Sie sich nicht von anderen
Personen behandeln.

Bitte prüfen Sie zunächst, ob das Gerät vollständig ist.
Zum Liefer umfang gehören:
• 1 MEDISANA Epiliergerät EPG
• 1 Reinigungspinsel
• 1 Aufbewahrungstasche
• 1 Gebrauchsanweisung
Verpackungen sind wiederverwendbar oder können dem Rohstoffkreislauf
zurückgeführt werden. Bitte entsorgen Sie nicht mehr benötigtes Verpackungsmaterial ordnungsgemäß. Sollten Sie beim Auspacken einen Transportschaden bemerken, setzen Sie sich bitte sofort mit Ihrem Händler in
Verbindung.
WARNUNG
Achten Sie darauf, dass die Verpackungsfolien nicht in die
Hände von Kindern gelangen. Es besteht Erstickungsgefahr!
Epilation ist keine Rasur, sondern entspricht einer Pinzettenbehandlung. Beim
Epilieren werden die Haare mit der Wurzel aus der Haut gezogen. Da die Haare
mit der Wurzel entfernt werden, dauert es wesentlich länger (3 bis 4 Wochen),
bis das Haar nachwächst. Außerdem werden Sie feststellen, dass das Haar
nach mehrmonatigem wiederholtem Gebrauch feiner und nicht mehr so dicht
nachwächst.
Die komfortabelste Art der Epilation ist mit einem Epiliergerät zu erreichen. Mit
einem solchen Gerät lassen sich sowohl Körperbehaarung als auch einzelne
Haare im Gesicht, an Achseln, Armen und Beinen sowie in der Bikinizone entfernen.
Mit dem Epilieren macht man sich am besten vertraut, indem man das Gerät
zuerst an einer leicht behaarten Stelle (z.B. Handrücken) ausprobiert. Nach der
ersten Anwendung kann es zu einer Hautrötung kommen. Sollte diese Hautirritation länger als 3 Tage anhalten, konsultieren Sie Ihren Arzt.
Epilieren kann zu eingewachsenen Haaren oder kleinen Hautverletzungen
führen. Reinigen Sie deshalb den Epilierkopf sorgfältig vor jeder Anwendung,
um Entzündungen der Haut vorzubeugen.
Das MEDISANA Epiliergerät EPG ermöglicht Ihnen eine bequeme und effek-
tive Haarentfernung zu Hause oder auf Reisen.
Das Epiliergerät EPG kann als aufladbares Gerät schnurlos, aber auch wie ein
Netzgerät an einer Steckdose, betrieben werden.
Das Gerät verhilft Ihnen besonders schnell und sanft zu seidenweicher Haut.
Die neue Technologie verringert den Schmerz, der beim Ausreißen von unerwünschten Haaren entstehen kann, erheblich. Mit seinem speziell gekrümmten, ergonomisch geformten Epilierkopf lassen sich Haare bis 0,25 mm
leicht und gefahrlos entfernen. Die 18 Plattenpinzetten-Paare sind goldbe-

schichtet. Das Edelmetall macht das Epilieren noch sanfter und verursacht
keine allergischen Reaktionen. Zusätzlich erhöht der Härchenaufrichter die
Effizienz bei der Anwendung.
Das Epiliergerät ist als persönliches Gerät konzipiert. Es sollte nur von einer
Person verwendet werden. Dadurch erübrigt sich das Sterilisieren. Es genügt
regelmäßiges Reinigen.
ACHTUNG
Wenn Sie das Gerät als Netzgerät nutzen, verwenden Sie
es nur mit dem mitgellieferten Netzadapter.
Wenn Sie das Gerät schnurlos, d.h. ohne Netzadapter,
verwenden möchten, muss vorher der Akku im Gerät
16 Stunden lang geladen werden.
AKKU LADEN
1. Stecken Sie den Stecker des Verbindungskabels in die Buchse am unte-
ren Ende des Epiliergerätes.
2. Stecken Sie den Netzadapter in die Steckdose.
3. Während des Ladens leuchtet die rote Kontrolllampe .
Laden Sie das Gerät beim ersten Laden 16 Stunden. Danach hat das Gerät
eine Akkulaufzeit von ca. 30 Minuten erreicht.
4. Ziehen Sie den Netzadapter aus der Steckdose und dann den Stecker des
Kabels aus der Buchse am Gerät.
HINWEISE
Laden Sie den Akku erneut für 8 - 16 Stunden, sobald seine
Leistung deutlich nachlässt.
Um die Lebensdauer des Akkus zu verlängern, wird empfohlen,
das Gerät hin und wieder vollständig zu entladen. Trennen Sie
hierzu den Netzadpter von Steckdose und Gerät. Schalten Sie
das Gerät anschließend solange ein, bis der Akku leer ist.
Wenn das Gerät nicht vollständig geladen ist, kann es auch
jederzeit mit angeschlossenem Netzadapter als Netzgerät
verwendet werden.
1. Ihre Haut sollte sauber, trocken und frei von Cremes, Lotionen, Fetten, Ölen
und abgestorbenen Hautpartikeln sein.
2. Wählen Sie für die Anwendung einen Platz mit angenehmer Temperatur,
um Schwitzen zu vermeiden.
3. Vergewissern Sie sich, dass das Gerät ausreichend geladen bzw. ordnungs-
gemäß ans Stromnetz angeschlossen ist.
4. Nehmen Sie die Schutzkappe vom Gerät ab, indem Sie sie leicht nach
oben abziehen.
5. Das Gerät verfügt über zwei Geschwindigkeiten: niedrige Geschwindigkeit

Schieben Sie den Schiebeschalter in die gewünschte Position, wobei Sie
gleichzeitig die im Schalter integrierte Taste gedrückt halten.
6. Überzeugen Sie sich, dass die Haut im Anwendungsbereich straff ist.
Achten Sie besonders an Stellen darauf, an denen sich Hautfalten bilden
können, z.B.: Strecken Sie das Bein, wenn Sie Haar aus der Kniekehle entfernen. Spannen Sie die Haut mit Ihrer freien Hand, damit sich die Härchen
aufrichten oder bringen Sie den Härchenaufrichter zum Einsatz.
Schieben Sie diesen hierzu unter leichtem Druck mit dem Daumen auf den
grauen Knopf nach oben, bis er einrastet.
7. Halten Sie das Gerät so in der hohlen Hand, dass es, mit oder ohne aus-
gezogenem Härchenaufrichter, gegen die Haarwuchsrichtung geführt
werden kann. Die Schalterseite (MEDISANA-Logo) des Gerätes sollte dabei
von Ihnen wegzeigen.
8. Setzen Sie den Epilierkopf unter einem Winkel von 90° senkrecht auf
die Haut, so dass die Epilierpinzetten Ihre Haut gerade berühren. Wenden
Sie kleine, kurze, streichende Bewegungen an. Gehen Sie sanft vor,
drücken Sie das Gerät nicht in die Haut!
HINWEIS
Zu Ihrem Schutz kann das MEDISANA Epiliergerät EPG langsamer
werden oder sogar vollständig anhalten, wenn Sie es zu fest auf
die Haut drücken.
9. Wiederholen Sie den Vorgang, bis Sie mit dem Ergebnis der Epilation zu-
frieden sind.
10. Schalten Sie das Gerät nach dem Gebrauch aus und ziehen Sie den Netz-
adapter aus der Steckdose.
11. Reinigen Sie das Gerät, bevor Sie es wieder benutzen, siehe 4.1 Reinigung
und Pflege, S. 7.
12. Wenn Sie das Gerät nicht benutzen, bewahren Sie es in der mitgelieferten
Tasche auf.
VOR DER ANWENDUNG
Das Epilieren wird leichter und angenehmer, wenn die Länge der zu entfernenden Haare zwischen 2 und 5 mm liegt. Beim Entfernen von Beinbehaarung darf die Länge auch mehr als 5 mm betragen.
Wenn die Haare länger sind, empfiehlt es sich, den Körperbereich zunächst
zu rasieren und nach 1 - 2 Wochen die kürzeren, nachwachsenden Haare zu
epilieren.

4.1
Reinigung
und Pflege
Um die Haut optimal für die Epilation vorzubereiten, kann man beim vorherigen Baden oder Duschen einen sogenannten Luffaschwamm verwenden.
Dieser macht die Haut weich, bringt schonend eingewachsene Haare an die
Oberfläche und entfernt gleichzeitig abgestorbene Hautschuppen.
IM GESICHT
Das Gerät ist zum Entfernen unerwünschter Haare aus dem Gesicht geeignet.
Es entfernt selbst einzelne Haare von Oberlippe, Kinn und Wangenbereich.
Verfahren Sie bei der Verwendung an der Oberlippe besonders vorsichtig,
indem Sie die Haut besonders straff und die komplette Lippenpartie mit den
Fingern leicht nach unten ziehen.
Vermeiden Sie unbedingt den Kontakt des Gerätes mit Stirn, Augenwimpern
und Augenbrauen.
AN DEN ACHSELHÖHLEN
Das Epiliergerät kann für sanfte Korrekturen an Achselhöhlen benutzt werden.
Zu langes Haar kürzen Sie vor der Epilation vorsichtig mit Schere oder Bartschneider. Strecken Sie beim Epilieren den Arm so aus, dass die Haut straff ist.
AN DER BIKINILINIE
Das Epiliergerät kann gefahrlos für Korrekturen an der Bikinilinie eingesetzt
werden. Falls das Haar in diesem Bereich zu lang ist (üblicherweise, wenn es
längere Zeit nicht entfernt worden ist), kürzen Sie es zunächst vorsichtig mit
einer Schere oder einem Bartschneider. Bei der anschließenden Epilation halten
Sie die Haut mit der freien Hand straff, und strecken Sie gegebenfalls das Bein,
um die Bildung von Hautfalten während des Epilierens zu vermeiden.
WIE OFT?
Anfangs führen Sie eine Epilation etwa einmal wöchentlich durch. Diese in
kurzen Zeitabschnitten aufeinanderfolgenden Nachbesserungen tragen dazu
bei, das Haar abzuschwächen und die Haut glatt zu halten.
Für Personen mit empfindlicher Haut wird grundsätzlich die wöchentliche
Epilation empfohlen. Die Anwendung in kürzeren Zeitabständen macht den
Vorgang noch sanfter, und er nimmt nur noch wenige Minuten in Anspruch.
NACH DER ANWENDUNG
After Epilation Creme
Zur Entspannung und Beruhigung der Haut nach dem Epilieren kann eine
Feuchtigkeitscreme, Aloe Vera Lotion oder ein desinfizierendes Rasierwasser
aufgetragen werden.
• Regelmäßige Reinigung und gute Wartung sichert optimale Ergebnisse und
verlängert die Lebensdauer Ihres Gerätes.
• Bevor Sie das Gerät reinigen, vergewissern Sie sich, dass das Gerät ausgeschaltet und der Netzadapter aus der Steckdose gezogen ist.
• Für die Reinigung verwenden Sie ein trockenes, weiches Tuch.
• Benutzen Sie keine aggressiven Substanzen, wie z.B. Scheuer milch oder
andere Spülmittel, für die Reini gung. Das könnte die Ober fläche angreifen.
• Tauchen Sie das Gerät zum Reinigen niemals in Wasser, und achten Sie
darauf, dass kein Wasser in das Gerät eindringt.
• Wickeln Sie das Kabel nicht um das Gerät.
• Lagern Sie das Gerät in der Aufbewahrungstasche an einem trockenen,
kühlen Platz.

Reinigung des Epilierkopfes
1. Nehmen Sie die Epilierkopfabdeckung ab, indem Sie die Entriegelung
drücken, und lösen Sie den Epilierkopf durch sanftes Drücken mit
dem Daumen heraus.
2. Entfernen Sie mit dem mitgelieferten Reinigungspinsel sämtliche Haar-
reste, die sich zwischen den Epilierscheiben (Pinzettenpaare) und im
Epilierkopf befinden.
3. Um sonstige Rückstände von den Pinzettenpaaren zu entfernen, verwen-
den Sie einige Tropfen Reinigungsalkohol und Wattestäbchen.
HINWEIS
Verwenden Sie keine anderen Flüssigkeiten als
Reinigungsalkohol zur Reinigung des Geräts.
4. Setzen Sie den Epilierkopf wieder auf, indem Sie ihn auf das Gerät
drücken, bis er einrastet. Vergewissern Sie sich dabei, dass das Zahnrad
am Epilierkopf in das Zahnrad am Gerät greift.
5. Setzen Sie die Epilierkopfabdeckung wieder auf.
6. Setzen Sie die Schutzkappe wieder auf.

WARNING
To avoid risk of suffocation, keep packaging film away
from children!
Epilation is not the same as shaving, but is similar to using tweezers. During
epilation, the hairs are pulled out of the skin with their roots. As the hairs are
removed with the roots, it takes considerably longer (3 to 4 weeks) before the
hair regrows. You will also find that the regrowing hair will become finer and
does not regrow as densely after several months of repeated use.
The most comfortable epilation is achieved by using an epilator. With such a
unit it is possible to remove body hair as well as individual hairs in the face,
under the arms, from arms and legs as well as in the bikini zone.
You can familiarise yourself with epilation by trying the unit first on an area
with light hair growth (e.g. back of hand). Some reddening of the skin may
occur after the first use. If this skin irritation last for more than 3 days, you
should consult your doctor.
Epilation can lead to ingrowing hairs or minor skin injuries. Therefore always
thoroughly clean the epilating head before each use to prevent skin inflammation.
The MEDISANA EPG epilator enables you to remove hair comfortably and
effectively at home and away from home.
The EPG epilator is rechargeable and can therefore be operated with or
without mains cable.
The unit will help you to achieve silky soft skin very quickly and gently. The new
technology considerably reduces the pain which can arise when unwanted hair
is pulled out. With its specially curved, ergonomically shaped epilating head
,
hairs up to 0.25 mm can be removed easily and safely. The 18 pairs of tweezer
disks are gold-plated. This noble metal makes epilation even gentler and does
not cause any allergic reactions. In addition, the hair lifter increases the
efficiency of the unit.
The epilator is designed for personal use. It should be used by only one person.
This means sterilisation is not necessary. Regular cleaning is sufficient.

Getting started
IMPORTANT
Only use the mains adapter supplied, if you use the unit as a
mains operated unit.
If you want to use the unit cordlessly, i.e. without mains
adapter, the battery must first be charged for 16 hours.
CHARGING THE BATTERY
1. Connect the plug of the connecting cable into the socket at the bottom
of the epilator.
2. Connect the mains adapter to the mains socket.
3. During charging, the red charge indicator is illuminated. When charging
the unit for the first time let it charge for 16 hours. The unit will then run
for about 30 minutes on the battery charge.
4. Disconnect the mains adapter from the mains socket and then pull the
cable out of the socket on the unit.
NOTES
Charge the battery again for 8 - 16 hours when its performance
falls off noticeably.
We recommend to completely discharge the unit occasionally to
increase the battery life. To do this, disconnect the mains adapter
from mains socket and unit. Then switch on the unit until the
battery is discharged.
If the unit is not fully charged, it can be used as a mains
operated unit by using the mains adapter.
1. Your skin should be clean, dry and free from creams, lotions, grease, oil and
dead skin.
2. Use the unit in a place with a pleasant temperature to avoid sweating.
3. Ensure that the unit is sufficiently well charged or has been connected to
the mains properly.
4. Remove protective cap from the unit by pulling it gently upwards.
5. The unit has two speeds: a low speed for fine hair, thin hair covering and
skin above bones, such as knees and ankles, and a high speed for coarse
hair, larger areas of skin and stronger hair growth. Switch on the unit by
selected the speed required with the slider switch .

Slide the switch into the position required whilst simultaneously pressing
the button integrated into the switch.

6. Check the skin is tight in the area of application. Pay particular attention to
places in which there may be skin folds, e.g. extend the leg when you
remove hair from the back of the knee. Stretch the skin with your free hand
so that the hairs stand up or use the hair lifter . To do this, push the grey
knob upwards with your thumb using light pressure until it engages.
7. Hold the unit in your hollow hand in such a way that it can be guided
against the hair growth direction, with or without the extended hair lifter.
The switch side of the unit (MEDISANA logo) should be pointing away from
you during this.
8. Place the epilating head at an angle of 90° vertically on the skin so that
the epilating tweezers just touch your skin. Use short, sliding strokes. Work
gently; do not press the unit to the skin.
NOTE
For your protection, the MEDISANA EPG epilator may slow down
or even stop completely, if you press it too firmly onto your skin.
9. Repeat this process until you are satisfied with the epilation result.
10. After use switch off the unit and disconnect the mains adapter from the
socket.
11. Clean the unit before you use it again; see 4.1 Cleaning and Main-
tenance on p. 7.
12. Store the unit in the bag supplied when you are not using it.
BEFORE USE
Epilation is easier and more comfortable if the hairs to be removed are between
2 and 5 mm long. Leg hair to be removed may be longer than 5 mm.
If the hair is longer, it is recommended to first shave the area concerned and
then to epilate the regrowing shorter hairs 1 - 2 weeks later.
To prepare the skin best for epilation, you can exfoliate the skin with a luffa or
massage sponge whilst bathing or showering before use of the unit.
This softens the skin, brings ingrowing hairs, if any, gently to the surface and
also removes dead skin cells.
THE FACE
The unit is suitable for the removal of unwanted hairs from the face. It removes even single hairs from upper lip, chin and cheeks.
Particular care should be used on the upper lip by pulling the skin particularly
tightly and pulling the upper lip slightly downwards using the fingers.
The unit must not be used on forehead, eyelashes and eyebrows.
UNDER THE ARM
The epilator can be used for gentle trimming under the arms. Carefully shorten
long hair with scissors or a beard trimmer.
Stretch your arm out during epilating so that the skin is tight.

BIKINI LINE
The epilator can safely be used for trimming the bikini line. If the hair in this
area is too long (normal if it has not been removed for some time), first carefully shorten it with scissors or a beard trimmer. During epilating stretch the skin
tightly with your free hand and possibly extend the leg to prevent the formation of skin folds during epilating.
HOW OFTEN?
At first, carry out epilation about once a week. Hair removal at short intervals
contributes to a weakening of the hair and keeps the skin smooth.
For persons with sensitive skin, weekly epilation is recommended as a matter
of principle. Epilation at even shorter intervals makes the process even gentler
and takes only a few minutes.
AFTER USE
To relax and soothe the skin after epilating, you may apply a moisturiser, aloe
vera lotion or a disinfecting aftershave lotion.
• Regular cleaning and care of the unit ensures the best results and extends
the life of the unit.
• Ensure that the unit is switched off and that the mains adapter has been
disconnected from the socket before cleaning the unit.
• Clean the unit with a dry soft cloth.
• Do not use any strong detergents for cleaning, e.g. scouring cream or other
cleansing agents, as they may damage the surface of the unit.
• When cleaning, never immerse the unit in water and make sure that no
water gets into the unit.
• Do not wrap the cable around the unit.
• Store the unit in its bag in a dry, cool place.
Cleaning of the epilating head
1. Remove the epilating head cover by pressing on the lock and re-
move the epilating head
by gently pressing on it with the thumb.
2. Remove all hair residue between the epilating disks (tweezer pairs) and
inside the epilating head using the cleaning brush
supplied.
3. Use a few drops of cleaning alcohol and a cotton bud to remove any other
residue from the tweezer pairs.
NOTE
Do not use any fluids other than alcohol to clean the unit.
4. Refit the epilating head
by pressing it onto the unit until it engages.
Ensure that the gearwheel on the epilating head engages into the
gearwheel in the unit.
5. Refit the epilating head cover .
6. Refit the protective cap .

Please contact your dealer or the service centre in case of a claim under the
warranty. If you have to send in the unit, please enclose a copy of your
receipt and state what the defect is.
The following warranty terms apply:
1. The warranty period for MEDISANA products is three years from date of
purchase. In case of a warranty claim, the date of purchase has to be
proven by means of the sales receipt or invoice.
2. Defects in material or workmanship will be removed free of charge
within the warranty period.
3. Repairs under warranty do not extend the warranty period either for the
unit or for the replacement parts.
4. The following is excluded under the warranty:
a. All damage which has arisen due to improper treatment, e.g. non-
observance of the user instructions.
b. All damage which is due to repairs or tampering by the customer or

suivantes avant d'utiliser l’appareil et conservez le
mode d'emploi pour toute utilisation ultérieure.
Respectez les instructions suivantes:
• Avant de raccorder l’appareil à l’alimentation électrique, veillez à ce que
la tension indiquée sur la plaque signalétique corresponde à celle de l’alimentation secteur.
• Utilisez l’appareil conformément à sa destination telle que définie dans la notice
d’utilisation.
•
L'instrument n'est pas destiné à une utilisation commerciale.
• N’utilisez pas l’appareil à l’extérieur.
• N’utilisez pas l’appareil dans des pièces où il est fait usage d’aérosols (sprays)
ou d’oxygène pur.
• Ne pas laisser l'appareil sans surveillance si des enfants sont à proximité. Les
appareils électriques ne sont pas des jouets.
• En cas de pannes, ne réparez pas l'appareil vous-même et ne l'utilisez plus.
Renseignez-vous auprès de votre spécialiste et confiez uniquement les réparations à des ateliers agréés.
• Vous-même êtes seulement autorisés à nettoyer l'appareil.
• Veuillez exclusivement utiliser les accessoires conçus pour votre appareil et
fournis par le fabricant. Utilisez exclusivement l’adaptateur secteur fourni avec
l’appareil.
• L’appareil doit être éteint pour retirer ou monter des accessoires.
Observez les instructions suivantes lorsque vous utilisez un appareil
électrique avec bloc d'alimentation:
• Ne jamais essayer de rattraper un bloc d'alimentation tombé dans l'eau.
Débrancher immédiatement la fiche secteur ou le bloc d'alimentation de la
prise de courant.
• Ne rangez pas les appareils électriques dans des endroits où ils risqueraient de
tomber dans la baignoire ou dans le lavabo.
• L'appareil, le câble et le bloc d'alimentation ne doivent en aucun cas être
immergés ou rincés à l'eau courante.
• Maintenez l’appareil et le câble secteur à l’écart des surfaces brûlantes.
• N’utilisez pas l’appareil si le câble secteur est abîmé, si l’appareil ne fonctionne
pas correctement, s’il est tombé par terre ou dans l’eau ou bien s’il a été
endommagé.
• Toujours manipuler le bloc d'alimentation avec les mains sèches.

• Ne pas porter, traîner ou tordre le bloc d'alimentation en tirant sur le cordon
secteur et veiller à ne pas pincer le cordon.
• Uniquement débrancher le bloc d'alimentation de la prise de courant lorsque
l'appareil est éteint et n'est plus utilisé.
•
Lorsque vous ne vous servez pas de l’appareil, remettez toujours le capot
protecteur .
•
Conservez toujours l’appareil à un endroit sec en le plaçant dans sa sacoche
de rangement.
•
Si vous avez un stimulateur cardiaque, des articulations artificielles ou des
implants électroniques, consultez d’abord impérativement votre médecin.
•
Les personnes ayant les problèmes suivants ne doivent pas utiliser l’appareil
sans avis médical :
eczéma, psoriasis, contusions, zones cutanées enflées ou enflammées,
gerçures ou plaies, acné, herpès ou autres infections cutanées, coup de
soleil, zones à proximité d’angiomes/de taches de vin, couperose, varices,
inflammations veineuses, grossesse, diabète, hémophilie, immunodéficience,
troubles de la circulation et autres maladies. En cas de doute, demandez
conseil à votre médecin.
•
L’utilisation d’un épilateur peut entraîner un rougissement ou une irritation
de la peau. C’est une réaction normale qui disparaît rapidement. Si l’irritation persiste plus de trois jours, contactez votre médecin.
•
Pour éviter tout risque, ne laissez jamais l’appareil sans surveillance lorsqu’il
est raccordé au secteur.
•
Cet appareil ne doit pas être utilisé sur ou par des enfants.
•
Ne pas utiliser l’appareil sur les cheveux, les cils et les sourcils. Il y a risque
de blessure !
•
Pour empêcher tout accident et dégradation de l’appareil, tenez l’appareil
allumé à l’écart de tout vêtement, brosse, fil de fer, ficelle, lacet, fil, etc.
•
Nettoyez l’appareil avant chaque utilisation pour réduire le risque d’inflammations bactériennes.
•
N’utilisez l’appareil que sur une peau sèche, propre et sans lotion.
•
Faites juste glisser légèrement l’appareil sur la peau. Ne l’utilisez pas sur

Les emballages sont réutilisables ou peuvent être recyclés afin de récupérer les
matières premières. Respectez les règles de protection de l’environnement
lorsque vous jetez les emballages dont vous n’avez plus besoin. Si vous remarquez lors du déballage un dommage survenu durant le transport, contactez
immédiatement votre revendeur.
ATTENTION
Veillez à garder les films d’emballage hors de portée des enfants.
Ils risqueraient de s’étouffer!
L’épilation avec cet appareil n’est pas un rasage, elle équivaut à une épilation
à la pince à épiler. Lors de l’épilation, les poils sont arrachés avec la racine.
Comme la racine est enlevée en même temps que le poil, cela met beaucoup
plus de temps (3 à 4 semaines) pour que le poil repousse. En outre, vous constaterez que les poils sont de plus en plus fins après une utilisation répétée
durant plusieurs mois et que les poils ne poussent plus aussi drus.
L’épilateur est le mode d’épilation le plus confortable. Cet appareil permet
d’éliminer les poils, même isolés, sur le visage, aux aisselles, sur les bras, sur les
jambes et dans la zone du maillot.
Pour s’habituer à l’utilisation de l’épilateur, le mieux est de faire tout d’abord
un essai sur une zone peu poilue (par exemple le dos de la main). Un rougissement de la peau est possible après la première utilisation. Si cette irritation
cutanée persiste plus de 3 jours, veuillez consulter votre médecin.
L’épilation peut entraîner des problèmes de poils sous-cutanés ou de petites
lésions de la peau. C’est pourquoi la tête d’épilation doit être nettoyée soigneusement avant chaque utilisation pour prévenir toute inflammation de la
peau.
L’épilateur MEDISANA EPG permet une épilation confortable et efficace à la
maison ou en voyage.
L’épilateur EPG peut être utilisé comme appareil rechargeable sans fil ou en le
raccordant à une prise de courant comme un appareil fonctionnant sur secteur.
L’appareil vous aide à retrouver une peau toute lisse de manière particulièrement rapide et douce. La nouvelle technologie réduit considérablement la
douleur qui peut survenir lors de l’arrachage des poils indésirables. Sa tête
d’épilation recourbée de forme spécialement ergonomique permet de retirer aisément et sans danger les poils mesurant 0,25 mm de long au moins. Les
18 paires de pinces sont plaquées or. Ce métal précieux rend l’épilation encore

Mise en service
plus douce et prévient toute réaction allergique. Le redresseur de poils
accroît en outre l’efficacité de l’application.
L’épilateur est un appareil personnel. Il ne doit être utilisé que par une seule
personne. Cela évite d’avoir à le stériliser. Il suffit de le nettoyer régulièrement.
ATTENTION
Si vous vous servez de l’appareil en le branchant sur secteur,
utilisez uniquement l’adaptateur secteur fourni.
Si vous souhaitez utiliser l’appareil sans fil, c’est-à-dire sans
adaptateur secteur, il est nécessaire de recharger préalablement
16 heures l’accu qui se trouve dans l’appareil.
RECHARGE DE L’ACCU
1. Insérez la fiche du câble de raccordement dans la prise en bas de l’épi-
lateur.
2. Branchez l’adaptateur secteur sur une prise de courant.
3. Le voyant de contrôle rouge est allumé durant la recharge.
Avant la première utilisation, rechargez l’appareil durant 16 heures. L’appareil aura alors une autonomie d’une trentaine de minutes.
4. Débranchez l’adaptateur secteur de la prise de courant, puis retirez la fiche
du câble de la prise sur l’appareil.
REMARQUES
Rechargez l’accu durant 8 à 16 heures dès que vous notez une
baisse de puissance sensible.
Pour prolonger la durée de l’accu, il est recommandé de décharger
complètement l’appareil de temps en temps. Pour cela, débranchez
l’adaptateur secteur de la prise de courant et de l’appareil. Mettez
l’appareil en marche et laissez-le fonctionner jusqu’à ce que l’accu
soit vide.
Si l’appareil n’est pas complètement chargé, il peut aussi être
utilisé à tout moment sur secteur en le raccordant à l’adaptateur
secteur branché sur une prise de courant.
1. Votre peau doit être propre, sèche, sans crèmes, lotions, graisses, huiles ni
cellules mortes.
2. Installez-vous dans un endroit à la température agréable pour éviter de
transpirer.
3. Assurez-vous que l’appareil est bien chargé ou qu’il est raccordé au secteur.
4. Retirez le capot de protection
de l’appareil en le dégageant légèrement
vers le haut.
5. L’appareil possède deux vitesses : une vitesse réduite pour les poils fins, les
zones peu poilues ou situées sur des os, comme les genoux et les chevilles,
et une vitesse élevée pour les poils épais, les zones étendues et plus

poilues. Allumez l’appareil en sélectionnant la vitesse souhaitée à l’aide de
l’interrupteur coulissant .
0 : appareil éteint
I : vitesse réduite
II : vitesse élevée
Amenez l’interrupteur coulissant dans la position souhaitée en maintenant
enfoncée la touche intégrée à l’interrupteur.
6. Assurez-vous que la peau est bien tendue à l’endroit que vous souhaitez
épiler. Faites particulièrement attention aux endroits où la peau pourrait se
plisser, par exemple : tendez la jambe si vous souhaitez éliminer les poils qui
se trouvent dans le creux du genou. Tendez la peau de votre main libre
pour que les petits poils se redressent ou bien utilisez pour cela le redresseur de poils . Pour cela, poussez le redresseur vers le haut en appuyant
légèrement avec le pouce sur le bouton gris jusqu’à ce que le redresseur
s’enclenche.
7. Tenez l’appareil dans le creux de la main de manière à pouvoir le faire
glisser sur la peau dans le sens opposé de la croissance des poils, avec ou
sans redresseur de poils. Le côté de l’interrupteur (logo MEDISANA) doit
être tourné dans la direction opposée par rapport à vous.
8. Placez la tête d’épilation à la verticale sur la peau selon un angle de 90°
afin que les pinces touchent votre peau. Commencez à épiler par petits
gestes brefs et doux. Procédez en douceur, n’appuyez pas l’appareil
contre la peau!
REMARQUE
Pour votre protection, l’épilateur MEDISANA EPG peut ralentir,
voire s’arrêter complètement si vous appuyez trop sur la peau.
9. Répétez l’opération jusqu’à ce que vous soyez satisfait du résultat de l’épi-
lation.
10. Éteignez l’appareil après utilisation et débranchez l’adaptateur secteur de la
prise de courant.
11. Nettoyez l’appareil avant de le réutiliser, voir 4.1 Nettoyage et entretien,
p. 7.
12. Lorsque vous ne vous servez pas de l’appareil, conservez-le dans la sacoche
fournie.
AVANT UTILISATION
L’épilation est plus facile et plus agréable lorsque les poils à épiler font entre
2 et 5 mm. Les poils peuvent même faire plus de 5 mm sur les jambes.
Si les poils sont plus longs, il est recommandé de tout d’abord se raser, puis
d’épiler au bout de 1 à 2 semaines les poils qui ont repoussé entre-temps.
Pour préparer de manière optimale la peau en vue de l’épilation, il est possible
d’utiliser préalablement une éponge loufa lors du bain ou de la douche. Cela
assouplit la peau, permet de faire sortir en douceur les poils qui poussent sous
la peau et élimine en même temps les cellules mortes.

Nettoyage et
entretien
VISAGE
L’appareil peut être utilisé pour éliminer les poils indésirables sur le visage. Il
élimine même les poils isolés sur la lèvre supérieure, le menton et les joues.
Lorsque vous l’utilisez sur la lèvre supérieure, soyez particulièrement prudent et
tendez bien la peau en tirant complètement la lèvre vers le bas avec les doigts.
Évitez impérativement tout contact de l’appareil avec le front, les cils et les
sourcils.
AISSELLES
L’épilateur peut être utilisé pour rectifier en douceur l’épilation des aisselles. Si
les poils sont trop longs, coupez-les avant épilation avec des ciseaux ou un
rasoir à barbe en faisant bien attention. Lors de l’épilation, tendez le bras de
manière à ce que la peau soit bien tendue.
MAILLOT
L’épilateur peut être utilisé sans crainte pour rectifier l’épilation maillot. Si les
poils sont trop longs à cet endroit du corps (ce qui est normal s’ils n’ont pas été
épilés durant un certain temps), commencez par les couper délicatement avec
des ciseaux ou un rasoir à barbe. Lors de l’épilation qui suit, tendez la peau avec
votre main libre et tendez au besoin la jambe pour empêcher que la peau ne
se plisse en cours d’épilation.
À QUELLE FRÉQUENCE ?
Au début, épilez-vous environ une fois par semaine. Ces petites épilations à
intervalles rapprochés contribuent à affaiblir le poil et garder la peau lisse. Si
vous avez la peau sensible, il est recommandé de s’épiler une fois par semaine
de manière générale. Une utilisation à intervalles rapprochés facilite l’épilation
et ne prend que quelques minutes.
APRÈS APPLICATION
Pour détendre et soulager la peau après l’épilation, il est possible d’appliquer
une crème hydratante, une lotion à l’aloe vera ou un après-rasage désinfectant.
• Un nettoyage régulier et un bon entretien assurent des résultats optimaux et
prolongent la durée de vie de l’appareil.
• Avant de nettoyer l’appareil, assurez-vous que l’appareil est éteint et que
l’adaptateur secteur est débranché de la prise de courant.
• Pour le nettoyage, utilisez un chiffon doux et sec.
• N'utilisez pas de produits agressifs, par ex. du lait récurant ou tout autre
détergent pour le nettoyage. Ceci peut endommager la surface.
• Ne jamais immerger l'appareil pour le nettoyer et éviter toute infiltration
d'eau dans le boîtier.
• N’enroulez pas le câble autour de l’appareil.
• Rangez l’appareil dans la sacoche de rangement et placez-le dans un endroit sec et frais.
Nettoyage de la tête d’épilation
1. Retirez le cache de la tête d’épilation en appuyant sur le déverrouillage
et détachez la tête d’épilation en appuyant doucement avec le
pouce.
2. Retirez avec le pinceau de nettoyage fourni tous les poils qui se trou-
vent entre les disques d’épilation (paires de pinces) et la tête d’épilation.
