SICHERHEITSHINWEISE

Lesen Sie vor Inbetriebnahme die Sicherheitshinweise aufmerksam durch. Beachten Sie die Warnungen auf dem Gerät und in der Bedienungsanleitung. Bewahren Sie die Bedienungsanleitung immer in Reichweite auf. Wenn Sie das Gerät verkaufen oder weitergeben, händigen Sie unbedingt auch diese Anleitung aus.

Die Geräte mit dem Kühlgas R600a sind sehr umweltfreundlich, aber auch

leicht entzündlich. Während des Transportes und der Installation ist mit größter Sorgfalt darauf zu achten, dass der Kühlkreislauf nicht beschädigt wird. Falls es doch zu einer Beschädigung kommt, müssen offenen Flammen vermieden werden. Den Raum, in dem das Gerät steht, für einigen Minuten gut lüften.

• Ältere Geräte enthalten Kühl- und Isolierungsgas, diese müssen ordnungsgemäß entsorgt werden. Zur Entsorgung eines Altgerätes sollten Sie eine lokale Altgeräte-Annahmestelle aufsuchen. Für weitere Fragen kontaktieren Sie Ihre lokale Behörde. Bitte stellen Sie sicher, dass die Rohrleitungen bis zur ordnungsgemäßen Entsorgung nicht beschädigt werden.

• Verbieten Sie Kindern, mit dem Gerät zu spielen. Niemals auf dem Gerät sitzen oder sich an die schwingende Tür hängen.

• Benutzen Sie keine scharfkantigen Metallgegenstände, um Eis zu entfernen. Diese könnten den Kühlschrank irreparabel beschädigen.

• Hochprozentige Alkoholika müssen gut verschlossen und senkrecht im Kühlschrank aufbewahrt werden.

Sicherheitshinweise

Schließen Sie den Kühlschrank nur an eine gut erreichbare Haushaltssteckdose 230 V ~ 50 Hz an, die sich in der Nähe des Aufstellorts befindet.

• Den Kühlschrank nicht mit nassen Händen an das Stromnetz anschließen.

• Die Kabel nicht wickeln oder knicken. Zur Verhinderung von Brandgefahr oder Überhitzung dürfen keine Adapter, Verlängerungskabel oder Vielfachstecker benutzt werden.

• In dem Kühlschrank dürfen keine elektrischen Geräte benutzt werden.

• Benutzen Sie das Gerät nicht, wenn das Anschlus-

skabel beschädigt ist. Ziehen Sie in dem Fall sofort den Netzstecker und lassen Sie das Kabel von einem Elektriker reparieren, um Gefährdungen zu vermeiden.

Hinweise zum Kältekreislauf

Der Kältekreislauf des Geräts enthält das Kältemittel R600a. (FCKW UND FKW frei).

Beachten Sie beim Einsatz im gewerblichen Bereich die für das Gewerbe gültigen Bestimmungen.

Der Kältekreislauf ist auf Dichtheit geprüft. Dieses Erzeugnis entspricht den einschlägigen Sicherheitsbestimmungen für Elektrogeräte.

Information zum Kältemittel

Kühl- und Gefriergeräte mit dem ozon-unschädlichen Kältemittel R600a im Kältekreislauf und mit Pentan in der Isolierung enthalten kein Chlor. Sie sind dadurch 100% FCKW-FREI, zerstören somit nicht die Ozonschicht und damit auch nicht den Schutzschild der Erde, welcher vor UV schädlicher Strahlung schützt.

Zu erkennen sind diese Geräte durch den Hinweis "Kältemittel R600a" auf dem Typenschild. Sollten Sie ein solches Gerät besitzen, achten Sie bitte darauf, dass die Rohrleitungen an der Rückseite Ihres Kühlbzw. Gefriergeräts nicht beschädigt werden, da R600a in geringem Maß zum Treibhauseffekt beitragen kann, wenn es freigesetzt wird.

Dies gilt sowohl für den Transport als auch für die gesamte Lebensdauer des Geräts. Achten Sie bei diesen Geräten auch darauf, dass sie gemäß den örtlichen Regelungen fach- und sachgerecht entsorgt werden. Die Umwelt wird dadurch weiter entlastet.

Entsorgung des Altgeräts

Ausgediente Geräte sind sofort fachgerecht zu entsorgen. Ziehen Sie den Netzstecker und durchtrennen Sie das Anschlußkabel.

Entfernen Sie Schnapp- oder Riegelschlösser - Sie verhindern damit, dass spielende Kinder sich selbst einsperren und in Lebensgefahr geraten.

Umwelthinweise

Ältere Kühl- und Gefriergeräte enthalten im Kältekreislauf und in der Isolation Fluorchlorkohlenwasserstoffe (FCKW). Dieses FCKW kann, wenn es freigesetzt wird, die Ozonschicht der Atmosphäre schädigen. Nehmen Sie deshalb zur Entsorgung des Altgeräts

Ihre zuständige kommunale Entsorgungsstelle in Anspruch. Achten Sie bitte darauf, dass die Rohrleitungen Ihres Kältegeräts nicht beschädigt werden.

Entsorgung der Neugeräte-Verpackung

Alle verwendeten Verpackungsmaterialien Ihres neuen Geräts können gefahrlos entsorgt werden:

Der Karton kann zerkleinert zur Altpapiersammlung gegeben werden.

Die Folien sind aus Polyethylen (PE) und die Polsterteile aus FCKW-freiem Polystyrol (PS). Diese wertvollen Stoffe können, wenn Sie sie alle bei einem Wertstoffcenter abgeben, nach Aufarbeitung wiederverwendet werden (Recycling).

Alle verwendeten Werkstoffe sind umweltverträglich! Sie können gefahrlos deponiert oder in der Müllverbrennungs-anlage verbrannt werden!

Die Anschrift des nächstgelegenen Wertstoffcenters für die Entsorgung der Verpackung und von Altgeräten erfragen Sie bitte bei Ihrer Gemeindeverwaltung.

INSTALLATION UND ANSCHLUSS DES GERÄTS

Bevor Sie das Gerät an das Stromnetz anschließen, überprüfen Sie die Stromart und Spannung am Aufstellort mit den Angaben auf dem Typenschild des Geräts.

Nach dem Transport muß das Gerät 3 Stunden aufrecht stehengelassen werden, erst dann können Sie es anschließen.

Der Hersteller ist nicht für die unsachgemäße Installation oder Bedienfehler verantwortlich. Die hierfür anfallenden Kunden-dienstkosten werden auch während der Garantiezeit berechnet.

Installation und Anschluss des Geräts

Aufstellen des Kühlschranks

• Der Kühlschrank darf weder der direkten Sonneneinstrahlung, noch anderen thermischen Einflüssen ausgesetzt werden.

• Das Gerät darf nicht im Freien stehen.

• Stellen Sie keine schweren oder viele Gegenstände auf das Gerät.

• Stellen Sie keine sehr heißen Lebensmittel oder Schüsseln auf das Gerät. Die Oberfläche könnte beschädigt werden.

• Stellen sie das Gerät nicht in die Nähe von Wärmequellen. Ist dies unvermeidbar, halten Sie den Mindestabstand von 50 cm zu Heizkörpern, Gasoder Kohleöfen und 5 cm zu Elektroöfen ein. Die notwendige Luftzirkulation darf nicht beeinträchtigt werden.

• Der Abstand zur Decke muß mind. 15 cm betragen.

schrank oder eine Gefriertruhe stellen, muss zur Vermeidung einer Kondensation ein Abstand von 2 cm eingehalten werden.

Abstand zur Wand

Montieren Sie die Wandabstandhalter am oberen Teil des Kondensators (Riffelblech auf der Rückseite). Diese vermeiden ein Anlehnen des Geräts an der Wand.

Gerät ausrichten

Der Kühlschrank ist stabil und waagerecht auf den Boden zu stellen. Durch die zwei vorderen verstellbaren Füße kann das Gerät waagerecht ausgerichtet werden.

Nach der ersten Inbetriebnahme kann ein Geruch entstehen. Sobald die Kühlung beginnt, verschwindet der Geruch.

Ist das Gerät in Betrieb und die GefrierfachTür wird geöffnet und wieder geschlossen, saugt sich die Dichtung so stark an, dass sich die Tür für kurze Zeit erschwert öffnen lässt. Dies ist kein Grund zur Sorge, es sorgt dafür, dass die Tür gut verschlossen ist. Nach einer Stabilisierungsphase ist die Tür wieder leicht zu öffnen.

TEMPERATURREGELUNG

Drehschalter für das Thermostat

Die Temperatur im Kühlteil und Gefrierfach wird durch ein Thermostat automatisch konstant gehalten. Die Regelung der Temperatur erfolgt durch einen Drehschalter. Wenn der Handgriff in der rechten Endposition /Position MAX/ steht, sind die Temperaturen relativ niedrig ; wenn der Handgriff in der linken Endposition /Position MIN/ steht, sind die Temperaturen relativ hoch. Die übrigen Positionen dazwischen entsprechen den Zwischenstufen der Kühlung. Die Position "0" besagt, dass das Thermostat ausgeschaltet ist und somit auch die Kühlung.

Für kurzweilige Lagerung von Lebensmitteln im Gefrierfach, können Sie den Schalter zwischen die minimale bis mittlerer Position stellen. Bei langfristiger Lagerung stellen Sie den Schalter auf mittlere Position.

Beachten Sie, dass die Temperatur im Kühlfach von vielen Faktoren abhängig ist: z.B. der Thermostat-

position, der Umgebungstemperatur, häufigem Türöffnen, sowie der Menge und Beschaffenheit der zu frierenden und lagernden Lebensmittel. Je nach Bedarf können Sie die Temperatureinstellung ändern.

Zum Erreichen einer angemessenen Kühlung muss bei der ersten Inbetriebnahme das Gerät ohne Unterbrechung 24 Stunden laufen.

Während diesem Zeitraum sollte die Tür nicht ständig geöffnet werden. Verstauen Sie so viel Lebensmittel wie möglich in das Gerät.

Um eine Beschädigung des Kompressors zu vermeiden, muss zwischen An- und Ausschalten des Geräts ein Zeitrahmen von mind. 5 Minuten liegen. Dies gilt auch, wenn Sie den Stecker aus der Steckdose ziehen und wieder einstecken.

Kühlschrank stellen. Der Reif neigt nämlich dazu, sich in den kältesten Punkten des Verdampfers zu konzentrieren und fördert das Abtauen. Stellen Sie niemals warme Lebensmittel in den Kühlraum, die Güter müssen vor dem Verstauen auf Raumtemperatur abkühlen. Plazieren Sie die Lebensmittel so, dass eine hinreichende Belüftung im Kühlteil gewährleistet ist.

Bringen Sie keine Gegenstände in Kontakt mit der Rückwand des Kühlschrankes, da diese daran anfrieren können. Vermeiden Sie häufiges Öffnen der Tür.

Hochprozentige Alkoholika müssen gut verschlossen und senkrecht im Kühlteil aufbewahrt werden. Um die besten Frischhaltebedingungen von Fleisch und gereinigtem Fisch (in mehreren Lagen von Papier oder Plastikfolien gewickelt) zu erzielen, sollten diese im kältesten Teil des Kühlschrankes verstaut werden. Dieser befindet sich auf dem Glasabsatz des Gemüsekastens. Es versteht sich jedoch, dass Fleisch und Fisch nicht länger als 2 Tage aufbewahrt werden kann.

Obst und Gemüse können ohne Verpakkung im Gemüsefach aufbewahrt werden.

Hinweise zum Kühlen von Lebensmitteln

Lebensmittel im Gefrierfach

Das Gefrierfach wird zur langfristigen Aufbewahrung von Lebensmitteln und der Herstellung von Eiswürfeln genutzt.

Achten Sie drauf, dass die einzufrierenden Lebensmittel mit der größeren Oberfläche auf der Gefrieroberfläche liegen. Bereits eingefrorene Lebensmittel so lagern, dass sie nicht mit den neu einzufrierenden Packungen in Berührung kommen. Dies könnte ein leichtes Auftauen bewirken.

Packen Sie die Ware portionsgerecht für Ihren Haushalt ab und frieren sie ein. Ware, die während des Abtauens des Gefrierfaches im Kühlschrank aufbewahrt wurde, muss nach wieder Einlagerung im Gefrierfach so schnell als möglich verzehrt werden. Temperaturerhöhungen verringern die Aufbewahrungsdauer der Lebensmittel. Stellen Sie niemals warme Lebensmittel in das Gefrierfach. Diese würden bereits eingefrorene Kost auftauen.

Bei Lagerung von Tiefkühlkost ist die vom Hersteller angegeben Lagerzeit unbedingt einzuhalten. Enthalten diese keine Informationen, sollte die Lagerzeit von 3 Monaten ab Kaufdatum nicht überschritten werden.

Achten Sie beim Kauf von Tiefkühlkost auf eine sachgerechte Verpackung und Lagertemperatur.

Tiefkühlkost sollte in einer Kühltasche transportiert werden und so schnell als möglich in das Gefrierfach gebracht werden.

Sollte die Verpackung von gefrorenen Gütern feucht und geschwollen sein, kann man von einer unsachgemäßen Lagerung und einem Verderb des Inhaltes ausgehen.

Hinweise zum Kühlen von Lebensmitteln

Die Lebensdauer von eingefrorenen Lebensmittel hängt von verschiedenen Faktoren ab: der Umgebungstemperatur, Thermostatposition, häufigem Türöffnen, Beschaffenheit der Lebensmittel und den Transportbedingungen vom Geschäft bis nach Hause.

Beachten Sie immer die Herstellerinformationen und überschreiten Sie niemals die angegebene Lagerzeit.

Eisschale

Füllen Sie die Eisschale zu Dreiviertel mit Wasser und lassen Sie sie im Eisfach gefrieren.

Die Eiswürfel lösen sich aus der Schale durch Verwinden oder wenn die Eisschale kurze Zeit unter fließendes Wasser gehalten wird.

REINIGEN DES GERÄTS

Ziehen Sie grundsätzlich vor dem Reinigen den Netzstecker oder schalten Sie die Sicherung ab.

Gießen Sie kein Wasser in das Gerät. Zur regelmäßigen Reinigung eignet sich lauwarmes

Wasser mit einem leicht desinfizierendem Reinigungsmittel (Handspülmittel). Reinigen Sie das Gehäuse und Zubehör separat mit Seifenwasser und setzen Sie die getrockneten Zubehörteile wieder in das Gerät ein.

Die Zubehörteile dürfen nicht in der Spülmaschine gereinigt werden.

Benutzen Sie keine säurehaltigen Putzmittel bzw. chemischen Lösungsmittel. Spülen Sie sämtliche Teile mit klarem Wasser nach und wischen Sie sie sorgfältig trocken. Nach der Reinigung kann das Gerät mit trockenen Händen wieder angeschlossen werden.

Um Energie zu sparen und die Produktivität zu erhalten sollte der Kondensator (Riffelblech auf der Rückseite) mindestens 2 x jährlich mit einem Handbesen gereinigt werden.

Gefrierfach

Während das Gerät läuft, taut sich das Kühlfach automatisch ab. Das Tauwasser wird in der Verdunstungsschale gesammelt und verdampft dort.

Reinigen Sie die Tauwasserablaufrinne und das Ablaufloch im Kühlraum häufiger, damit das Tauwasser ungehindert ablaufen kann. Benutzen Sie hier-für einen geeigneten spitzen Gegenstand.

Sie können auch ein ½ Glas Wasser in das Abflußrohr gießen.

Entfernen Sie regelmäßig die entstandene Reifschicht. Benutzen Sie hierfür den Plastikschaber. Reinigen Sie das Gefrierfach mindesten 2 x jährlich, wie bereits im Kühlteil beschrieben.

Stellen Sie 1 Tag vor dem Abtauen das Thermostat auf die Position MAX, um die Güter komplett einzufrieren.

Wickeln Sie sämtliches Gefriergut in Zeitungspapier ein und bewahren Sie es an einem kühlen Ort auf, bis das Gerät abgetaut ist. Durch die extreme Temperatursteigerung verkürzt sich die Lebensdauer der Güter und sollten schnellst möglich verzehrt werden.

Stellen Sie das Thermostat auf 0 Position oder ziehen Sie den Netzstecker aus der Steckdose. Lassen Sie die

Gerätetür während des Abtauvorganges offen stehen.

Stellen Sie zum Beschleunigen des Abtauvorgangs einen oder mehrere Töpfe mit heißem, nicht kochendem Wasser in das Gefrierfach.

Trocknen Sie das Gefrierfach gründlich ab und stellen Sie das Thermostat auf die Position MAX.

Verwenden Sie keine elektrischen Geräte, wie z. B. Heizlüfter oder Haartrockner um den Abtauvorgang zu beschleunigen.

Wechseln der Glühlampe

Wenn Sie die Glühlampe aus dem Kühlteil wechseln müssen gehen Sie dazu wie folgt vor:

1. Ziehen Sie den Netzstecker aus der Steckdose

2. Entfernen Sie den Lichtdeckel durch Drücken der seitlichen Haken.

3. Tauschen Sie die defekte Glühlampe gegen eine Neue aus (max. 15 W)

4. Setzen Sie den Lichtdeckel wieder ein und warten Sie 5 Minuten bis Sie das Gerät wieder einschalten.

Abtauen

Transport und Änderung des Standortes

Beachten Sie die Transportbestimmungen auf dem Wellpappkarton.

Entnehmen Sie vor dem Transport alle beweglichen Teile aus dem Gerät oder befestigen Sie diese mit Klebestreifen.

WECHSELN DES TÜRANSCHLAGS

Je nachdem wie Sie Ihren Kühlschrank aufstellen wollen kann es erforderlich sein den Türanschlag von links auf rechts zu wechseln. Sie können den Türanschlag selbständig wechseln oder den Kundendienst kontaktieren (kostenpflichtig). Halten Sie zur selbständigen Montage einen Kreuz- und einen Schlitzschraubendreher bereit und gehen Sie dann wie folgt beschrieben vor:

Schritt 1

Lösen Sie die beiden Schrauben des mittleren Scharniers mit einem Kreuzschraubendreher, und entfernen Sie diese. Nehmen Sie die beiden großen und die kleine Kappe auf der linken Seite vorsichtig heraus, indem Sie sie vorsichtig mit einem flachen Gegenstand ausheben. Hier wird später das Scharnier angebracht.

Wechseln des Türanschlags

Schritt 2

Entfernen Sie nun die beiden Türen, indem Sie diese mit dem mittleren Scharnier zu sich hinziehen.

Schritt 3

Legen Sie das Gerät auf die linke Seite. Demontieren Sie beide Schraubfüße durch Herausdrehen gegen den Uhrzeigersinn.

Schritt 4

Schrauben Sie mit einem Kreuzschraubendreher die beiden Schrauben heraus, mit denen das untere Scharnier befestigt ist.

Schritt 5

Nehmen Sie das untere Scharnier ab.

Wechseln des Türanschlags

Schritt 6

Schrauben Sie den Zapfen des unteren Scharniers mit einem Schlitzschraubendreher heraus, und schrauben Sie ihn in die andere Bohrung wieder ein.

Schritt 7

Befestigen Sie das Scharnier mit den beiden Schrauben auf der linken (gegenüberliegenden) Seite in die entsprechenden Bohrungen ein.

Schritt 8

Bringen Sie die beiden Schraubfüße wieder an.

Schritt 9

Schrauben Sie den Zapfen des rechten oberen Scharniers mit einem Schlitzschraubendreher heraus. Stekken Sie dann die beiden großen Kappen und die kleine Kappe in die Bohrungen auf der rechten Seite an.

Wechseln des Türanschlags

Schritt 10

Brechen Sie die linke Öffnung am Kopfteil auf. Schrauben Sie den Zapfen am linken oberen Scharnier ein.

Schritt 11

Wechseln Sie Scharnierhülsen und Scharnierkappen an den Türen. Heben Sie dazu Kappen- und Hülsenköpfe vorsichtig mit einem flachen Gegenstand an und setzen Sie auf der gegenüberliegenden Seite wieder ein.

Schritt 12

Bringen Sie das mittlere Scharnier an. Drehen Sie es dabei um 180° im Uhrzeigersinn. Montieren Sie die Türen am mittleren Scharnier. Gehen Sie dabei in umgekehrter Weise vor wie beim Auseinandernehmen. Ziehen Sie die Schrauben nicht gewaltsam aber fest an.

WENN STÖRUNGEN AUFTAUCHEN

Ihr Gerät ist so konstruiert und hergestellt, dass Störungsfreiheit und lange Lebensdauer gegeben sind. Sollte dennoch während des Betriebs eine Störung auftreten, so wenden Sie sich bitte an die nächste Kundendienststelle. Die Geräusche sind zu laut

Strömungsgeräusche im Kältekreislauf sind nicht zu vermeiden. Wenn sich das Geräusch verändern sollte, prüfen Sie folgendes:

• Steht das Gerät fest auf dem Boden ?

• Werden nebenstehende Möbel oder Gegenstände von dem laufenden Kühlaggregat in Vibration gesetzt ?

• Vibrieren auf der Geräteoberfläche aufgestellte Gegenstände ?

Wasser befindet sich im unteren Teil des Kühlteils

• Ablußrohr ist verstopft. Reinigen Sie das Abflußloch.

Hinweis

Das Kühlsystem befindet sich in der Rückwand des Kühteils, um ein verbessertes Aussehen zu erhalten. Je nach dem , ob der Kompressor läuft, entstehen Wasserperlen oder eine Reifschicht auf der Wand. Kein Grund zur Sorge, das ist normal. Nur bei einer übermäßig dikken Schicht auf der Wand empfiehlt es sich das Gerät abzutauen.

Wenn das Gerät für längere Zeit außer Betrieb gesetzt wird (z.B. während den Sommerferien): Gerät ausschalten, Netzstecker ziehen. Gerät reinigen und die Tür geöffnet lassen um Geruchs- und Schimmelbildung zu vermeiden.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Please observe the following safety precautions carefully before putting the unit into operation. Heed all warnings labelled onto the unit and specified in the operating manual. Always keep these operating instructions near at hand. If you sell or pass on the unit, make sure to include this manual together with the unit.

Units with the refrigerant R600a are very environmentally friendly, but the

gas is highly inflammable. During transport and installation, be careful not to damage the refrigerant circuit. In the event of any damage, open flames must be avoided. Ventilate the room where the unit is located for several minutes.

• Older units contain cooling and insulating gas which have to be disposed of correctly. Dispose of an old unit at your local industrial spillage deposal. In case of further questions, please contact your local authority. Make sure that the pipework is not damaged until it has been disposed of correctly.

• Do not allow your children to play with the unit. Never sit on the unit or hang onto the door as it swings.

• Do not use sharp metal instruments to remove ice because these could irreparably damage the refrigerator.

• Store liquors and spirits vertically in well-sealed bottles in the refrigerator.

Connect the unit to an easily accessible domesticpower outlet 230V ~ 50Hz close to the place where it is installed.

• Do not connect the unit to the mains supply if your hands are wet.

• Do not wind up or kink the cable. To prevent the risk of fire or overheating, do not use adapters, extension cables or multisocket connectors.

• Electrical equipment must not be operated inside the refrigerator.

• Do not use the unit if the connecting cable is damaged. If this is the case, immediately pull out the mains plug and have the cable repaired by an electrician to prevent anyhazard.

Information on the refrigerant circuit

The refrigerant circuit of the unit contains the refrigerant R600a. (HCFC- and HFC-free).

If used in the commercial sector, the applicable regulations must be observed.

The refrigerant circuit has been tested for leakages. This product corresponds to the relevant safety regulations for electrical equipment.

Information on the refrigerant

Cooling and freezing units with the ozone-friendly refrigerant R600a in their refrigerant circuit and with pentane in the insulation do not contain any chlorine. This means that they are 100% HCFC-free, and thus do not destroy the ozonosphere which protects our planet from hazardous UV radiation.

This is indicated by the comment "Refrigerant R600a" on the nameplate of the unit. If you own such a unit, please ensure that the pipework on the rear side of your refrigerator or freezer is not damaged because R600a can contribute slightly to the greenhouse effect if it is released into the atmosphere.

This applies to both transportation and the entire service life of your unit. Ensure that these units are correctly disposed of according to the local regulations. This contributes to avoid harmful environmental impacts.

Disposal information

Disposal of the old unit

Dispose of disused units immediately and properly. Pull out the mains plug and cut through the connection cable.

Remove any snap or bolt locks - this prevents children from locking themselves in and thus putting their life at serious risk.

Environmental information

Older refrigerator and freezer units contain hydrochlorofluorocarbons (HCFC) in the refrigerant circuit and in the insulation. If released, this HCFC can damage the ozone layer in the atmosphere. Therefore, use your local communal waste disposal service to dispose of your old unit. Ensure that the pipework of your cooling unit is not damaged.

Disposal of the packaging of the new unit

All materials used to package your new unit can be disposed of safely:

Cut up the box and add it to your recycling paper for collection.

The foils are made of polyethylene (PE) and the padding of HCFC-free polystyrene (PS). If you send all these valuable materials to a recycling centre, they can be reused after reconditioning.

Only environmentally friendly materials have been used. They can be safely disposed of or incinerated in a waste incineration plant.

Ask your local administration for the address of your nearest recycling centre for the disposal of the packaging and old units.

INSTALLATION AND CONNECTION OF THE UNIT

Before you connect the unit to the mains supply, check the type of current and voltage at the installation location with respect to the information given on the manufacturer's nameplate.

After transport, leave the unit for 3 hours in an upright position before connecting it.

The manufacturer is not responsible for any incorrect installation or operating errors. You will be charged for any servicing costs resulting from such errors, even during the warranty period.

• The refrigerator must not be exposed to direct

sunlight or any other thermal influences.

• The unit must not stand outdoors.

• Do not put any heavy objects or lots of smaller

objects on top of the unit.

• Do not put very hot foodstuffs or objects on the

unit. This could damage the surface.

• Do not install the unit in the vicinity of a heat

source. If this cannot be avoided, maintain a minimum distance of 50 cm to radiators, gas or coal heaters and 5 cm to electrical cookers. The air must be able to circulate.

• The distance to the ceiling must be at least 15 cm.

• If you install the unit next to another refrigerator

or freezer chest, keep a distance of at least 2 cm to avoid condensation.

Distance to the wall

Mount the wall spacers on the upper part of the condenser (corrugated plate on the rear side). These prevent the unit from leaning on the wall.

Alignment of the unit

Make sure that the refrigerator is standing in a stable horizontal position on the floor. Use the two adjustable feet at the front to align the unit horizontally.

There may be an odour the first time the unit is switched on. This odour disappears as soon as cooling starts.

If the unit is operating and the door of the freezer compartment is opened and then closed, the suction on the seal is so strong that for a short period, it will be difficult to open the door. This is not a malfunction because it ensures that the door is properly closed. The door can be opened again quite easily after a short stabilisation time.

TEMPERATURE CONTROL

Rotary switch for the thermostat

The refrigerator and the freezer compartment are automatically kept at a constant temperature by a thermostat. The temperature is controlled with a rotary switch. When the switch is turned to the right end position /position MAX/, then the temperatures are relatively low; when the switch is turned to the left end position /position MIN/, the temperatures are relatively high. The other positions between these two correspond to intermediate cooling levels. Position "0" means that the thermostat is switched off along with the cooling.

For short-term storage of foodstuffs in the freezer compartment, set the switch to between the minimum and a middle position. For long-term storage, set the switch to the middle position.

Note that the temperature inside the refrigerator compartment depends on many factors: e.g. the position of the thermostat, the ambient

temperature, frequent opening of the door as well as the amount and consistency of the foods to be frozen and stored. Change the temperature setting according to your requirements.

To ensure sufficient cooling, the unit should be left to run for 24 hours non-stop before it is put into use for the first time.

During this period, the door should not be frequently opened. Store as many foods as possible in the unit.

To avoid damage to the compressor, wait for at least 5 minutes between switching the unit on and off. This also applies if you pull out the plug and then push it back in.

liquids before putting them in the refrigerator. Frost tends to concentrate in the coldest zones of the evaporator and thus promotes defrosting. Never put warm foods into the fridge compartment, all food must cool down to room temperature before storing it in the fridge. Place the foodstuffs so that there is sufficient circulation of air within the refrigerator.

Do not allow objects to come into contact with the rear wall of the refrigerator since they can freeze on to it. Avoid opening the door too often.

Store liquors and spirits vertically in well-sealed bottles in the refrigerator. Store meat and cleaned fish (wrapped in several layers of paper or plastic foil) in the coldest part of the refrigerator to keep them as fresh as possible. This is on top of the glass plate over the vegetable bin. However, do not keep meat and fish longer than 2 days.

Fruit and vegetables can be stored unwrapped in the vegetable compartment.

Tips on cooling foodstuffs

Foodstuffs in the freezer compartment

The freezer compartment is used for long-term storage of food and to make ice-cubes.

Ensure that the foods to be frozen lie on the freezing surface with their largest surface downwards. Store frozen food so that it does not come into contact with packages that have to be frozen. This could easily cause the frozen goods to thaw.

Pack the goods in suitably sized portions for your household and then freeze them. Goods that are kept in the refrigerator during defrosting of the freezer compartment must be used as quickly as possible after replacing them in the freezer compartment. An increase in temperature reduces the storage time of frozen goods. Never put warm foods into the freezer compartment. This would thaw foods that are already frozen.

For deep-frozen goods, always observe the storage time specified by the manufacturer. If there is no information given, then do not store the goods for more than 3 months after the date of purchase.

When buying deep-frozen foods, pay attention to correct packaging and storage temperatures.

Deep-frozen goods should be transported in a cooler bag and placed into the freezer compartment as soon as possible.

If the packaging of frozen goods becomes damp and swollen, then it can be assumed that they have been incorrectly stored and that the contents are spoiled.

The lifetime of frozen foodstuffs depends on many factors: the ambient temperature, thermostat position, frequent opening of the door, consistency of the foodstuffs and the transport conditions from the shop back home.

Ice-cube tray

Fill the cube tray three-quarters full of water and leave it to freeze in the freezer compartment.

The ice-cubes can be removed from the tray by twisting it or by holding the tray under flowing water for a short time.

CLEANING THE UNIT

Before cleaning, always pull out the mains plug or switch off the fuse.

Do not pour water into the unit. Use lukewarm water with a gentle disinfecting

cleaner (washing-up liquid) for regular cleaning. Clean the housing and the accessories separately with soapy water and put them back after drying.

Do not clean the accessories in the dishwasher.

Do not use acid cleaning agents or chemical solvents. Rinse all parts with clear water and dry them carefully. After the unit has been cleaned, it can be reconnected to the power supply, but make sure your hands are dry.

To save energy and to maintain efficiency, the condenser (corrugated plate at the rear) should be cleaned at least 2 times a year with a broom.

DEFROSTING

Refrigerator compartment

The refrigerator compartment automatically defrosts while the unit is operating. The melted water is collected in the evaporation tray where it evaporates.

Clean the melt water drainage channel and the drainage hole in the refrigerator compartment frequently so that the melted water can drain away easily. To do so, use a suitable pointed instrument.

You can also pour ½ glass of water into the drainage pipe.

Freezer compartment

Remove the layer of frost regularly. To do so, use the plastic scraper. Clean the freezer compartment at least 2 times a year, as already described for the refrigerator compartment.

Set the thermostat to the position MAX one day before defrosting in order to completely freeze all goods.

Wrap all frozen goods in newspaper and then store them in a cool place until the unit has defrosted. Due to the extreme increase in temperature, the lifetime of the frozen goods is shortened so that they should be consumed as soon as possible.

Set the thermostat to the 0 position or pull the plug

out of the power socket. Leave the door open during the defrosting process.

Place one or more bowls with hot, not boiling, water into the freezer compartment to accelerate the defrosting process.

Defrosting

Thoroughly dry the freezer compartment and set the thermostat to the position MAX.

Do not use any electrical equipment, e.g. hot air blowers or hair dryers, to accelerate the defrosting process.

Exchanging the light bulb

If you need to exchange the light bulb in the refrigerator compartment, then proceed as follows:

1. Pull the plug out of the power socket

2. Remove the lamp cover by pressing the hooks on the sides.

3. Exchange the defect bulb with a new one (max. 15 W)

4. Replace the lamp cover and wait 5 minutes before you switch on the unit again.

Transport and changing the location

Please observe the transport specifications on the packaging box.

Before transporting, remove all movable parts out of the unit or fasten them with adhesive tape.

CHANGING THE DOOR MOUNTING

Depending on where you locate your refrigerator, it may be necessary to change the door mounting from left to right. You can do this yourself or you can contact your customer service centre (who will charge this). If you do decide to do it yourself, have a cross-head and a flat-tip screwdriver at hand and then follow the instructions given below:

Step 1

Loosen and remove the two screws on the middle hinge with a cross-head screwdriver. Carefully remove the two big caps and the small cap on the left side by levering them carefully out with a flat object. This is where the hinge will be attached later on.

Now remove the two doors by pulling them towards you together with the middle hinge.

Lay the unit on its left side. Remove both adjustable feet by unscrewing them counterclockwise.

Change over the hinge bushings and hinge caps on the doors. To do so, carefully lever off the caps and bushing heads with a flat object and reinsert them on the opposite side.

Attach the middle hinge after turning it clockwise by 180°. Mount the doors on the middle hinge. Do this in reverse order to that described for dismantling. Tighten the screws firmly but do not force them.

IN CASE OF FAULTS

Your unit is constructed and manufactured so that it should have a long service life without any malfunction. If a fault should occur during operation, please contact your nearest customer service centre. However, check beforehand whether the fault is due to an operating error, because in this case you will be charged for any customer service costs, even during the warranty period. You may be able to eliminate the following faults by checking for possible causes:

The unit does not function

• Power failure

• The main fuse has blown

• The thermostat is set to " 0 "

• The fuse on the power socket is faulty. Check this by connecting another appliance to the same power socket.

The temperature in the freezing compartment is not low enough

• The unit is overloaded

• The doors do not shut properly

• Dust on the condenser

• Air cannot circulate correctly.

• The unit is standing too close to a wall or another object.

In case of faults

The unit is too noisy

Noise due to circulation in the refrigerant circuit cannot be avoided. If the noise should change, then check the following:

• Is the unit resting firmly on the floor ?

• Are neighbouring pieces of furniture or objects made vibrate by the cooling aggregate when it operates?

• Are objects on top of the unit vibrating?

There is water in the lower part of the refrigerator compartment

• The drainage pipe is clogged. Clean the drainage hole.

Note

To improve the appearance, the cooling system is installed into the rear wall of the refrigerator compartment. There may water droplets or frost form on the wall, depending on whether the compressor is running. This is no cause for concern, it is quite normal. It is recommended to defrost the unit only if there is an excessive layer of ice on the wall.

If the unit is switched off for longer periods (e.g. during the summer holidays): switch off the unit, pull out the mains plug. Clean the unit and leave the door open to avoid odours and mildew.

Information relative au réfrigérant

Les appareils de réfrigération et de congélation avec le réfrigérant R600a, inoffensif pour l'ozone, dans le circuit frigorifique et avec du pentane dans l'isolation, ne contiennent pas de chlore. Ils sont par cela exempts à 100% d'HCFC, ne détruisent donc pas la couche d'ozone et de ce fait également pas l'écran de protection de la terre, préservant du rayonnement UV nocif.

L'on reconnaît ces appareils par l'indication "Réfrigérant R600a" sur la plaque signalétique. Si vous disposez d'un tel appareil, veuillez veiller à ce que les tuyauteries sur la face arrière de votre réfrigérateur ou de votre congélateur ne viennent pas à être endommagées, car R600a peut contribuer faiblement à l'effet de serre lorsqu'il est libéré.

Cela est valable tant pour le transport que pour l'ensemble de la durée de vie de l'appareil. Veillez également à ce que ces appareils soient éliminés selon les réglementations locales, correctement et selon les règles de l'art. Vous contribuerez ainsi à mieux protéger encore l'environnement.

dans le circuit frigorifique et l'isolation. Cet HCFC peut nuire à la couche d'ozone de l'atmosphère lorsqu'il se trouve libéré. Sollicitez de ce fait toujours votre centre d'élimination municipal compétent pour l'élimination de votre ancien appareil. Veuillez veiller à ce que les tuyauteries de votre réfrigérateur ne soient pas endommagées.

Elimination de l'emballage des nouveaux appareils

Tous les matériaux d'emballage utilisés pour votre nouvel appareil peuvent être éliminés sans danger :

Le carton peut être réduit en petits morceaux et être remis aux papiers de récupération.

Les films protecteurs sont en polyéthylène (PE) et les rembourrages protecteurs en polystyrène (PS) exempts d'HCHC. Ces matériaux précieux peuvent être réutilisés (recyclage) si vous les remettez tous à un centre de récupération de matériaux recyclables.

Tous les matériaux utilisés sont écologiques ! Ils peuvent être déposés sans danger aux ordures ou être incinérés dans une usine d'incinération des ordures ménagères !

Votre administration municipale vous indiquera l'adresse du centre de récupération de matériaux recyclables le plus proche pour l'élimination de l'emballage et d'appareils anciens.

INSTALLATION ET RACCORDEMENT DE L'APPAREIL

Avant de raccorder l'appareil au secteur, veuillez contrôler que le type de courant et la tension sur le site d'installation correspondent bien aux indications de la plaque signalétique de l'appareil.

Après le transport, l'appareil devra rester immobilisé pendant 3 heures en position debout, ce n'est qu'après que vous pourrez le raccorder.

Le fabricant n'est pas responsable d'une installation non conforme ou d'erreurs de mise en service. Les coûts du S.A.V. en résultant seront même facturés pendant la période de garantie.

Installation et raccordement de l'appareil

Mise en place du réfrigérateur

• Le réfrigérateur ne doit être soumis ni au rayonnement direct du soleil, ni à d'autres influences thermiques.

• L'appareil ne doit pas être mis en place en plein air.

• Ne placez pas des objets lourds ou nombreux sur l'appareil.

• Ne placez pas des aliments très chauds ou des plats sur l'appareil. La surface pourrait être endommagée.

• N'installez pas l'appareil à proximité de sources de chaleur. Si cela est inévitable, respectez une distance minimum de 50 cm par rapport aux radiateurs, aux poêles à gaz ou à charbon et de 5 cm par rapport aux cuisinières électriques. La circulation d'air nécessaire ne doit pas être perturbée.

• Si vous placez l'appareil à côté d'un autre réfrigérateur ou d'un congélateur-bahut, il y aura lieu, afin d'éviter la condensation, de respecter une distance de 2 cm.

Distance par rapport au mur

Montez les entretoises murales sur la partie supérieure du condensateur (tôle gaufrée sur la face arrière). Celles-ci évitent que l'appareil s'adosse au mur.

Aligner l'appareil

Le réfrigérateur est à mettre en place de manière stable et horizontalement sur le sol. L'appareil peut être ajusté horizontalement à l'aide des deux pieds avant ajustables.

Après la première mise en service, une odeur peut se dégager. Cette odeur disparaît dès que la réfrigération commence.

Si l'appareil est en service et que la porte du compartiment congélateur est ouverte et de nouveau fermée, le joint s'aspire aussi fortement de telle manière que la porte ne peut être ouverte qu'avec difficulté pendant un court moment. Cela n'est pas une raison de s'inquiéter, cela garantit une bonne fermeture de la porte. Après une phase de stabilisation, la porte pourra de nouveau être facilement ouverte.

RÉGLAGE DE LA TEMPÉRATURE

Commutateur rotatif pour le thermostat

La température dans la partie réfrigérateur et le compartiment congélateur est automatiquement maintenue constante à l'aide d'un thermostat. Le réglage de la température s'effectue à l'aide d'un commutateur rotatif. Lorsque la poignée se trouve en position finale de droite, /position MAX/, les températures sont relativement basses ; lorsque la poignée se trouve en position finale de gauche, /position MIN/, les températures sont relativement élevées. Les autres positions correspondent aux niveaux intermédiaires de la réfrigération. La position "0" signale que le thermostat est éteint et la réfrigération de ce fait également.

Pour une conservation de courte durée d'aliments dans le compartiment congélateur, vous pouvez positionner le commutateur entre la position minimale et la position du milieu. Dans le cas d'une conservation de longue durée, vous placerez le commutateur sur la position du milieu.

Réglage de la température

Veuillez tenir compte du fait que la température dans la partie réfrigérateur dépend de beaucoup de facteurs : par ex. de la position du thermostat, de la température ambiante, de la fréquence d'ouverture de la porte ainsi que de la quantité et nature des aliments à congeler et à conserver. Vous pouvez modifier le réglage de la température selon les besoins.

Pour atteindre une réfrigération convenable, l'appareil devra fonctionner 24 heures sans interruption lors de la première mise en service.

Pendant ce laps de temps, la porte ne devra pas être ouverte en permanence. Placez autant d'aliments que possible dans l'appareil.

Afin d'éviter un endommagement du compresseur, un intervalle de temps d'au moins 5 minutes devra s'écouler entre la mise en service et la mise hors circuit de l'appareil. Cela est également valable lorsque vous débranchez la prise de raccordement au secteur de la prise du secteur et que vous rebranchez de nouveau celle-ci.

dégivrage, il faut recouvrir les liquides à mettre au réfrigérateur. Le givre tend à se concentrer aux points les plus froids de l'évaporateur et favorise le dégivrage. Ne mettez jamais des aliments chauds dans la partie réfrigérateur, les aliments à conserver doivent refroidir à la température ambiante avant d'être mis au réfrigérateur. Placez les aliments de telle manière qu'une ventilation suffisante soit possible dans la partie réfrigérateur.

Ne mettez pas des objets en contact avec la paroi arrière du réfrigérateur, ceux-ci peuvent geler en adhérant à la paroi. Evitez une ouverture fréquente de la porte.

Les boissons alcoolisées fortes doivent être bien fermées et être conservées verticalement dans la partie réfrigérateur. Afin d'obtenir les meilleures conditions de conservation en toute fraîcheur de viandes et poissons vidés et nettoyés (enveloppés dans plusieurs couches de papier ou feuilles en plastique), il faut les conserver dans la zone la plus froide du réfrigérateur. Celle-ci se situe au-dessus du recouvrement en verre du bac à légumes. On retient cependant que la viande et le poisson ne peuvent pas être conservés plus de 2 jours.

Fruits et légumes peuvent être conservés sans emballage dans le bac à légumes.

Indications relatives a la refrigeration d'aliments

Aliments dans le compartiment congélateur

Le compartiment congélateur sert à la conservation de longue durée d'aliments et à la préparation de glaçons.

Veillez à ce que les aliments à congeler reposent avec la surface la plus grande sur la surface de congélation. Conservez des aliments déjà congelés de telle manière qu'ils n'entrent pas en contact avec les nouveaux paquets à congeler. Cela pourrait provoquer une légère décongélation.

Emballez les aliments en portions en fonction de votre ménage et congelez-les. Les aliments conservés au réfrigérateur pendant le dégivrage du compartiment congélateur, doivent être consommés le plus rapidement possible après remise en conservation au compartiment congélateur. Les augmentations de température diminuent la durée de conservation des aliments. Ne mettez jamais des aliments chauds dans le compartiment congélateur. Ceux-ci décongèleraient des aliments déjà congelés.

Lors de la conservation de produits surgelés, la durée de conservation indiquée par le fabricant est impérativement à respecter. Si ceux-ci ne contiennent pas d'informations, la durée de conservation de 3 mois à compter de la date d'achat ne doit pas être dépassée.

Veillez lors de l'achat de produits surgelés à un emballage et à une température de conservation conformes.

Les produits surgelés doient être transportés dans un sac isotherme et être mis le plus rapidement possible dans le compartiment congélateur.

Si l'emballage de produits surgelés est humide ou gonflé, on pourra supposer une conservation non conforme et un contenu altéré.

Indications relatives a la refrigeration d'aliments

La durée de vie d'aliments congelés dépend de différents facteurs : de la température ambiante, de la position du thermostat, de la fréquence d'ouverture de la porte, de la nature des aliments et des conditions de transport du magasin jusqu'à la maison.

Veuillez toujours tenir compte des informations du fabricant et ne dépassez jamais la durée de conservation indiquée.

Bac à glaçons

Remplissez le bac à glaçons aux 3/4 d'eau, et laissezle geler au compartiment congélateur.

Les glaçons se détachent du bac en tordant celui-ci ou lorsque le bac à glaçons est tenu pendant quelques instants sous de l'eau courante.

NETTOYAGE DE L'APPAREIL

Avant le nettoyage, débranchez impérativement la prise du câble d'alimentation de la prise du secteur ou coupez l'alimentation au fusible.

Ne versez pas d'eau dans l'appareil. Pour un nettoyage régulier, de l'eau tiède avec un

nettoyant légèrement désinfectant (produit à laver la vaisselle) est appropriée. Nettoyez le bâti et les accessoires séparément avec de l'eau savonneuse et remettez les accessoires séchés de nouveau dans l'appareil.

Les accessoires ne doivent pas être nettoyés dans un lave-vaisselle.

N'utilisez pas de nettoyants contenant des acides ou de solvants chimiques. Rincez toutes les pièces à l'eau claire et séchez-les soigneusement. Après le nettoyage, l'appareil pourra de nouveau être branché avec des mains sèches.

Pour économiser de l'énergie et maintenir la productivité, le condensateur (tôle gaufrée à la face arrière) doit être nettoyé au moins 2 fois par an à l'aide d'une balayette.

DÉGIVRER

Partie réfrigérateur

Pendant que l'appareil marche, la partie réfrigérateur se dégivre automatiquement. L'eau de dégivrage est récupérée dans le bac d'évaporation et s'y évapore.

Nettoyez plus souvent la cuvette de récupération de l'eau de dégivrage et l'orifice d'écoulement dans la partie réfrigérateur de manière à ce que l'eau de dégivrage puisse s'écouler librement. Utilisez à cet effet un objet pointu approprié. Vous pouvez également verser un ½ verre d'eau dans le tube d'écoulement.

Compartiment congélateur

Enlevez régulièrement la couche de givre formée. Utilisez à cet effet le grattoir en plastique. Nettoyez le compartiment congélateur au mois 2 x par an comme déjà décrit à la partie réfrigérateur.

Positionnez le thermostat sur la position MAX 1 jour avant le dégivrage afin de congeler complètement les produits.

Enveloppez tous les produits congelés dans du papier journal et conservez-les dans un endroit frais jusqu'à ce que l'appareil soit dégivré. Suite à l'extrême augmentation de la température, la durée de vie des produits se trouve réduite et ceuxci doient être consommés le plus rapidement possible.

Placez le thermostat sur la position 0 ou débranchez la prise du câble d'alimentation de la prise du secteur. Laissez la porte de l'appareil grande ouverte pendant l'opération de dégivrage.

Pour accélérer l'opération de dégivrage, placez un ou plusieurs pots contenant de l'eau chaude non bouillante dans le compartiment congélateur.

Séchez soigneusement le compartiment congélateur et placez le thermostat sur la position MAX.

Pour accélérer l'opération de dégivrage, n'utilisez pas d'appareils électriques comme par ex. radiateur soufflant ou sèche-cheveux.

Remplacement de l'ampoule

Si vous devez remplacer l'ampoule de l'éclairage de la partie réfrigérateur, procédez à cet effet de la manière suivante :

1. Débranchez la prise du câble d'alimentation de la prise du secteur

2. Enlevez le cache de l'ampoule en appuyant sur les crochets latéraux.

3. Remplacez l'ampoule défectueuse par une nou velle (max. 15 W)

4. Remettez le cache de l'ampoule en place et at tendez 5 minutes avant de remettre l'appareil en marche.

Dégivrer

Transport et changement de site d'installation

Veuillez tenir compte des directives de transport figurant sur l'emballage en carton ondulé.

Retirez toutes les pièces mobiles de l'appareil avant le transport ou fixez celles-ci à l'aide de bandes adhésives.

INVERSION DU SENS D'OUVERTURE DE LA PORTE

Selon le futur emplacement de votre réfrigérateur, il peut être nécessaire d'inverser le sens d'ouverture de la porte de la gauche vers la droite. Vous pouvez vous-même inverser le sens d'ouverture de la porte ou contacter le service après-vente (l'opération sera effectuée à vos frais). Si vous effectuez le montage vous-même, préparez un tournevis cruciforme et un tournevis pour vis à fente et procédez alors de la manière suivante :

Opération 1

Desserrez les deux vis de la charnière du milieu à l'aide d'un tournevis cruciforme et retirez celles-ci. Retirez avec précaution les deux grands capuchons et le petit sur le côté gauche en les levant avec précaution par effet de levier à l'aide d'un objet plat. C'est ici que l'on fixera plus tard la charnière.

Inversion du sens d'ouverture de la porte

Opération 2

Enlevez maintenant les deux portes en tirant celles-ci vers vous avec la charnière du milieu.

Opération 3

Couchez l'appareil sur le côté gauche. Démontez les deux pieds vissés en tournant dans le sens opposé à celui des aiguilles d'une montre.

Dévissez les deux vis fixant la charnière du bas à l'aide d'un tournevis cruciforme.

Brisez l'ouverture de gauche sur la partie supérieure. Vissez le pivot sur la charnière gauche du haut.

Changez les douilles des charnières et capuchons des charnières sur les portes. Soulevez à cet effet avec précaution les têtes des capuchons et des douilles à l'aide d'un objet plat et remettez les têtes en place sur le côté opposé.

Mettez la charnière du milieu en place. Tournez-la à cet effet de 180° dans le sens des aiguilles d'une montre. Montez les portes sur la charnière du milieu. Procédez à cet effet dans l'ordre inverse du désassemblage. Ne bloquez pas les vis en forçant mais serrez-les bien.

LORSQUE DES DÉRANGEMENTS SE PRÉSENTENT

Votre appareil est conçu et fabriqué de manière à assurer un fonctionnement sans dérangement et une grande longévité. Si cependant un dérangement venait à se présenter pendant le fonctionnement, adressez-vous au service aprèsvente le plus proche. Vérifiez cependant préalablement si le dérangement n'est pas éventuellement la suite d'une erreur de mise en service car, dans ce cas, les frais occasionnés par l'intervention du service après-vente devront vous être facturés et cela également durant la période de garantie. Vous pouvez vous-même éliminer les dérangements suivants en vérifiant les causes possibles :

L'appareil ne fonctionne pas

• Panne de courant

• Le fusible principal est défaillant

• Le thermostat se trouve sur la position " 0 "

• Le fusible pour la prise du secteur n'est pas en ordre. Contrôlez cela en branchant un autre appareil électrique sur la même prise du secteur.

La température de congélation n'est pas suffisamment basse

• L'appareil est surchargé

• Les portes ne sont correctement fermées

• Poussière sur le condensateur

• La ventilation (admission et évacuation de l'air) n'est pas en ordre

• L'appareil se trouve trop près d'un mur ou d'un objet.

Lorsque des dérangements se présentent

L'appareil est trop bruyant

Des bruits d'écoulement dans le circuit frigorifique sont inévitables. Si le bruit venait à se modifier, vérifiez ce qui suit :

• L'appareil se trouve-t-il sur un sol stable ?

• Des meubles ou objets se trouvant à proximité sont-ils mis en vibration par le groupe frigorifique en marche ?

• Des objets placés sur la surface de l'appareil vibrent-ils ?

Il y a de l'eau en bas de la partie réfrigérateur

• Le tube d'écoulement est bouché. Nettoyez l'orifice d'écoulement.

Indication

Le système frigorifique se situe dans la paroi arrière de la partie réfrigérateur pour améliorer l'esthétique de l'appareil. Selon que le compresseur marche ou ne marche pas, des perles d'eau ou une couche de givre se forment sur le mur. Ne vous inquiétez pas, cela est normal. Uniquement dans le cas d'une couche beaucoup trop épaisse sur le mur, il est recommandé de dégivrer l'appareil.

Lorsque l'appareil est mis hors service pendant une durée prolongée (par ex. pendant les vacances d'été) : Eteignez l'appareil, débranchez la prise d'alimentation de la prise du secteur. Nettoyez l'appareil et laissez la porte ouverte pour éviter la formation d'odeurs et de moisissures.

Gli apparecchi con il fluido refrigerante R600a sono molto ecologici ma anche

facilmente infiammabili. Durante il trasporto e l'installazione occorre prestare la massima cautela per non danneggiare il circuito del fluido refrigerante. Se si verifica un danneggiamento, occorre evitare assolutamente la presenza di fiamme libere. Ventilare bene per alcuni minuti l'ambiente in cui si trova l'apparecchio.

• Apparecchi di vecchio modello contengono fluidi di raffreddamento e di isolamento, i quali devono essere smaltiti conformemente alle norme in materia. Per smaltirlo, un apparecchio vecchio va consegnato ad un centro autorizzato di raccolta. Per ulteriori informazioni si prega di rivolgersi all'ufficio ambiente locale. Assicurare che le tubazioni non vengano danneggiate fino allo smaltimento regolare dell'apparecchio.

• Impedire ai bambini di giocare con l'apparecchio. Non mettersi seduti sull'apparecchio e non appendersi allo sportello.

• Non usare oggetti metalli acuminati o taglienti per rimuovere il ghiaccio. Tali oggetti possono danneggiare il frigorifero in maniera irreparabile.

• All'interno del frigorifero non si devono usare

apparecchi elettrici.

• Non usare l'apparecchio se il suo cavo di collega-

mento è danneggiato. In questo caso, per evitare qualsiasi rischio staccare immediatamente la spina e far riparare il cavo da un elettricista.

Collegare il frigorifero solo ad una presa di corrente a 230V ~ 50Hz ben accessibile e situata vicino al luogo di installazione.

Avvertenze sul circuito frigorifero

Il circuito frigorifero dell'apparecchio contiene il fluido frigorigeno R600a (non contiene né idrocarburi clorati né idrocarburi fluorati).

Informazioni per la sicurezza

Informazioni sul fluido frigorigeno

Gli apparecchi frigoriferi ed i congelatori il cui circuito frigorifero contiene il fluido frigorigeno R600a non nocivo all'ozono e con pentano nel materiale di isolamento non contengono composti clorati. Questi apparecchi non contengono idrocarburi fluorati o clorati e quindi non distruggono lo strato di ozono che protegge la terra dai raggi ultravioletti nocivi.

Questo tipo di apparecchi si riconoscono dalla scritta "Fluido frigorigeno R600a" riportata sulla loro targhetta. Se si possiede un apparecchio del genere, prestare attenzione a non danneggiare le tubazioni sul retro del frigorifero o del congelatore, in quanto la fuoriuscita del fluido R600a può favorire l'effetto serra, anche se in lieve misura.

Ciò vale sia per il trasporto sia per l'intera durata dell'apparecchio. Questi apparecchi devono essere anche smaltiti correttamente e conformemente ai regolamenti locali. In questo modo si contribuisce a proteggere l'ambiente.

Gli apparecchi non più utilizzabili devono essere smaltiti correttamente e subito. Staccare la spina elettrica e tagliare il cavo di collegamento.

Togliere le serrature a scatto o a chiavistello per impedire che i bambini si chiudano per gioco dentro l'apparecchio.

Il circuito frigorifero ed il materiale isolante di vecchi modelli di frigoriferi o congelatori contengono idrocarburi fluorati e clorati (HCFC). Queste sostanze, se fuoriescono dall'apparecchio, possono

danneggiare lo strato di ozono dell'atmosfera terrestre. Per smaltire un apparecchio vecchio occorre pertanto rivolgersi al centro di raccolta comunale autorizzato. Assicurarsi che le tubazioni dell'apparecchio non vengano danneggiate.

Smaltimento dell'imballaggio di un apparecchio nuovo

Tutti i materiali d'imballaggio utilizzati per un apparecchio nuovo possono essere smaltiti senza alcun rischio.

Lo scatolone può essere lacerato in piccoli pezzi e portato al container della carta.

Le pellicole di materiale sintetico sono di polietilene (PE) e l'imbottitura di polistirolo (PS, non contiene idrocarburi clorati o fluorati). Se consegnati ad un centro di raccolta, questi pregiati materiali possono essere opportunamente trattati e riciclati.

Tutti i materiali impiegati sono ecologicamente compatibili. Possono essere portati in discarica o ad un impianto di incenerimento.

L'indirizzo del centro di raccolta e riciclaggio più vicino per lo smaltimento dell'imballaggio e di apparecchi vecchi può essere richiesto all'ufficio comunale preposto.

INSTALLAZIONE E COLLEGAMENTO

DELL'APPARECCHIO

Prima di collegare l'apparecchio alla rete elettrica locale è necessario controllare il tipo ed il valore della tensione della presa di corrente di collegamento e verificare che corrispondano ai dati riportati sulla targhetta dell'apparecchio.

Dopo il trasporto, l'apparecchio deve riposare per circa 3 ore in posizione verticale e solo al termine di questo periodo va collegato elettricamente.

Il produttore declina qualsiasi responsabilità per un'installazione scorretta o per errori commessi nell'uso dell'apparecchio. Le spese di assistenza e riparazione sono a carico dell'utente anche durante il periodo di garanzia.

Installazione e collegamento dell'apparecchio

Installazione del frigorifero

• Il frigorifero non deve essere esposto né ai raggi solari diretti né ad altre sorgenti di calore nelle immediate vicinanze.

• L'apparecchio non deve essere installato all'aperto.

• Non collocare oggetti pesanti o un gran numero di oggetti sull'apparecchio.

• Non collocare contenitori o generi alimentari ad alta temperatura sull'apparecchio. La sua superficie potrebbe riportare danni.

• Non installare l'apparecchio vicino a fonti di calore. Se non si può fare diversamente, mantenere una distanza minima di 50 cm da radiatori, stufe a gas o a legna e di 5 cm da stufe elettriche. La circolazione libera dell'aria è indispensabile e non deve essere ostacolata.

• La distanza minima dal soffitto è di 15 cm.

• Se l'apparecchio viene installato accanto ad un altro frigorifero o congelatore, per evitare la formazione di condensa occorre mantenere una distanza minima di 2 cm.

Installazione e collegamento dell'apparecchio

Distanza dalla parete

Montare il distanziale della parete sulla parte superiore del condensatore (lamiera striata sul retro dell'apparecchio). In questo modo si evita di appoggiare l'apparecchio direttamente alla parete.

Posizionamento dell'apparecchio

Il frigorifero va collocato sul pavimento in maniera stabile ed orizzontale. Con i due piedini anteriori regolabili si può portare l'apparecchio in posizione orizzontale.

Durante la prima fase della messa in funzione si possono sprigionare odori, i quali scompaiono appena all'inizio del raffreddamento.

Se si apre e si richiude lo sportello del vano del congelatore mentre l'apparecchio è in funzione, la guarnizione si rigonfia a tal punto da rendere difficoltosa per breve tempo la nuova apertura dello sportello. Ciò non deve destare preoccupazioni, in quanto si tratta di un fenomeno normale che assicura che lo sportello rimanga ben chiuso. Al termine della fase di stabilizzazione, lo sportello può essere riaperto facilmente.

REGOLAZIONE DELLA TEMPERATURA

Manopola del termostato

La temperatura all'interno del vano del frigorifero e del vano del congelatore viene tenuta costante automaticamente da un termostato. La temperatura può essere regolata agendo sulla manopola del termostato. Portando la manopola sulla posizione finale destra /posizione MAX/, le temperature sono relativamente basse; portando la manopola sulla posizione finale sinistra /posizione MIN/, le temperature sono relativamente alte. Le posizioni intermedie della manopola corrispondono a livelli intermedi di raffreddamento. Con manopola in posizione "0", il termostato è spento e lo è quindi anche il raffreddamento

Regolazione della temperatura

Per conservare generi alimentari per un breve periodo nel vano del congelatore, la manopola può essere regolata su una posizione compresa tra la minima e la media. Per conservare alimenti per un lungo periodo, la manopola va regolata su una posizione media.

Si tenga presente che la temperatura all'interno del vano del congelatore dipende da vari fattoti: ad esempio dalla posizione della manopola del termostato, dalla temperatura ambiente, dalla frequenza di apertura dello sportello e dalla quantità e caratteristiche dei generi alimentari al suo interno. La temperatura può essere modificata a seconda delle necessità.

Per ottenere un raffreddamento appropriato, durante la prima messa in funzione l'apparecchio deve funzionare ininterrottamente per 24 ore.

Durante questo periodo lo sportello non deve essere aperto in continuazione. Mettere la massima quantità possibile di generi alimentari nell'apparecchio.

Per evitare di danneggiare il compressore, tra l'accensione e lo spegnimento dell'apparecchio devono trascorrere almeno 5 minuti. Ciò vale anche se si toglie e si reinserisce la spina nella presa di corrente.

La formazione di brina tende infatti a concentrarsi nei punti più freddi dell'evaporatore, favorendo lo sbrinamento. Non collocare mai generi alimentari caldi nel vano del frigorifero; prima di metterli in frigorifero, devono raffreddarsi fino alla temperatura ambiente. Collocare i generi alimentari in modo da garantire

una sufficiente circolazione dell'aria all'interno dell'apparecchio.

Non portare oggetti a contatto con la parete posteriore del frigorifero, in quanto potrebbero congelare ed attaccarsi ad essa. Evitare di aprire troppo frequentemente lo sportello.

Le bottiglie di alcolici ad alta gradazione devono essere conservate nel vano del frigorifero ben tappate ed in posizione verticale. Per ottenere le migliori condizioni di freschezza, la carne ed il pesce (avvolti in più strati di carta o pellicola di plastica) vanno collocati nella parte più fredda del frigorifero, cioè sul ripiano di vetro del contenitore della verdura. Ovviamente la carne ed il pesce non possono essere conservati per più di 2 giorni.

La frutta e la verdura possono essere conservate senza imballaggio nel vano della verdura.

Avvertenze per la conservazione di generi alimentari

Generi alimentari nel congelatore

Il vano del congelatore si utilizza per conservare generi alimentari per lungo periodo o per produrre cubetti di ghiaccio.

Si tenga presente che la superficie più grande dei generi alimentari da conservare va collocata a contatto con la superficie di congelamento. Collocare generi alimentati da congelare in modo che non vengano a contatto con le confezioni di quelli già congelati. In caso contrario si potrebbe verificare un leggero scongelamento di questi ultimi.

Confezionare gli alimenti porzionandoli adeguatamente per le proprie necessità e congelarli. Gli alimenti conservati nel vano del frigorifero durante lo sbrinamento del vano del congelatore devono essere consumati prima possibile. Un aumento della temperatura riduce la durata di conservazione dei generi alimentari. Non collocare mai generi alimentari caldi nel vano del congelatore. Gli alimenti già al suo interno ne verrebbero scongelati.

Per la conservazione di alimenti surgelati è necessario rispettare in ogni caso la durata di conservazione indicata dal produttore. Se non sono disponibili informazioni al riguardo, il periodo di conservazione non deve superare i 3 mesi dalla data di acquisto.

Nell'acquisto di generi alimentari surgelati verificare che la confezione sia idonea ed integra e che la loro temperatura sia corretta.

I generi alimentari surgelati vanno trasportati in una borsa termica e messi prima possibile nel vano del congelatore.

Se l'imballaggio di alimenti congelati è diventato bagnato o si è rigonfiato, si può essere certi che la loro conservazione non è stata adeguata e che il contenuto non è più consumabile.

Avvertenze per la conservazione di generi alimentari

La durata di conservazione di generi alimentari congelati dipende da diversi fattori: dalla temperatura ambiente, dalla posizione della manopola del termostato, dalla frequenza di apertura dello sportello, dalle caratteristiche dei generi alimentari e dalle condizioni di trasporto dal luogo di acquisto a casa.

Osservare sempre le informazioni del produttore e non superare mai la durata massima di conservazione indicata.

Ghiacciaia

Riempire la ghiacciaia per tre quarti d'acqua e metterla quindi nel vano del congelatore.

I cubetti di ghiaccio si staccano torcendo leggermente il recipiente o tenendolo brevemente sotto acqua corrente.

PULIZIA DELL'APPARECCHIO

Prima di pulire l'apparecchio, staccare sempre la spina o disinserire l'interruttore automatico o il fusibile.

Non versare acqua all'interno dell'apparecchio. Per la pulizia regolare è adatta acqua tiepida

contenente un disinfettante leggero (sapone liquido per le mani). Pulire a parte l'esterno e gli accessori con acqua e sapone e quindi ricollocare gli accessori asciutti nell'apparecchio.

Gli accessori non devono essere lavati in lavastoviglie.

Non usare detergenti contenenti acidi o solventi chimici. Sciacquare tutte le parti con acqua pulita e quindi asciugarle accuratamente con un panno. Al termine della pulizia, asciugarsi bene le mani e ricollegare l'apparecchio alla presa di corrente.

Per risparmiare energia e mantenere l'efficienza dell'apparecchio, il condensatore (lamiera striata sul retro dell'apparecchio) deve essere pulito almeno 2 volte all'anno con una scopa.

SBRINAMENTO

Vano del frigorifero

Mentre l'apparecchio è in funzione, il vano del frigorifero si sbrina automaticamente. L'acqua che ne deriva si raccoglie nella vaschetta di evaporazione ed evapora.

Pulire spesso il canale dell'acqua di sbrinamento ed il foro di scarico nel vano del frigorifero, in modo che l'acqua possa defluire senza ostacoli. Allo scopo utilizzare un oggetto acuminato adatto.

Nel tubo di scarico si può anche versare mezzo bicchiere d'acqua.

Vano del congelatore

Rimuovere regolarmente lo strato di ghiaccio che si forma utilizzando un raschietto di plastica. Pulire il vano del congelatore almeno 2 volte all'anno, come già descritto per il vano del frigorifero.

Un giorno prima dello sbrinamento collocare la manopola del termostato in posizione MAX per congelare completamente gli alimenti.

Avvolgere tutti gli alimenti congelati in carta di giornale e conservarli in un luogo fresco fino al completo sbrinamento dell'apparecchio. A causa del rapido aumento della temperatura, la durata degli alimenti viene ridotta, per cui devono essere consumati prima possibile.
