The following explains what must be observed for preventing bodily injury of user or others, and damage to property.
Safety Instructions
Definition of Symbols and Notes In this manual, the following words and symbols denote possible danger.
Danger
This symbol stands for immediate danger threatening the life and health of persons. Disregarding these instructions may cause severe damage to health and even serious injury.
Caution
This symbol stands for an endangering situation that may occur. Disregarding these instructions may lead to minor injury or damage to property.
Note
This symbol stands for notes, operational hints, and other useful information. They are convenient for exploiting the machine’s functional abilities.
Danger
Do not place receptacles containing water on the machine.
If water is spilled, it may cause fire or an electrical shock.
Do not put any foreign object, such as metal, or inflammable thing inside the machine.
It may cause fire or an electrical shock.
Do not touch any revolving part of the machine with a hand, or reach a hand into the machine.
It may cause a bodily injury.
Do not dismantle, remodel, or repair the machine.
It may cause fire, electrical shock, or bodily injury. If repair is required, contact your dealer.
Do not put the machine close to heating equipment.
The machine cover or the coating of power code melts. It may cause fire, electrical shock, or bodily injury.
Do not remove the machine cover, back cover, etc.
There are parts with very high in voltage that may cause an electrical shock.
Do not use any other voltage than AC100V.
Doing so could cause fire or an electrical shock.
Do not use inflammable spray inside or near the machine for cleaning or the like.
As gas, which fills the interior, it may ignite and cause a fire or explosion.
Apply the power supply of the designated voltage, and independently use the wall outlet with a proper rated current specified in the serial plate.
If the outlet is used concurrently with other equipment, the branched part of the outlet could overheat and cause fire.
Should any foreign substance, such as metal, water, etc., get inside the machine, be sure to turn off the power first, and then disconnect the power plug from the outlet.
If the machine is used as it is, it may cause fire or an electrical shock. Contact your dealer immediately.
When disconnecting the power plug from the outlet, be sure to grip the plug itself.
Pulling the power cord may damage the cord, which could cause a fire or an electrical shock.
Be sure to turn off the power first and pull the power plug from the outlet when cleaning the machine.
The machine may be operated by mistake, causing a bodily injury.
Danger
If dust is on prongs or prong fitting part of the power plug, wipe the dust off with a dry cloth.
It may cause fire.
Do not do anything that may damage the power cord or power plug.
(Do not scratch, process, forcibly bend, twist, or pull it, or place heavy object on it, or bundle it.)
Doing so could cause a fire or an electrical shock.
Do not unplug the power plug with wet hands.
It may cause an electrical shock.
Be sure to connect a ground wire.
If an electric leak occurs, it may cause fire or an electrical shock.
Caution
When the jogger will not be used for several days, such as during consecutive holidays, etc., be sure to unplug the power cord from the outlet for safety’s sake.
Due to deteriorated insulation, it may cause an electric fire.
Do not place the machine in a humid place or where it could get wet.
Doing so could cause the insulation to deteriorate and cause an electrical shock or fire.
Place the machine on a level and stable table or floor with enough space,
otherwise the machine may fall, which could result in bodily injury.
Be sure to remove the power plug from the outlet when moving the machine,
otherwise it may damage the cord, causing fire or an injury.
