R0131563 INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

1. Remove freezer interior shelving, basket, ice maker,
and evaporator cover.

2. Clean any ice build up from left and right air ducts,
beside evaporator, and from fresh food supply air duct above
evaporator fan.

3. Remove right air dam, attached with 2 screws to back wall.

4. Move right side air block to between the third and fourth
evaporator end bends, counting up from the bottom of the evaporator coil.
(SEE FIGURE 1). Ensure defrost heater leads are in front and rear notches of
right air block. Air block must be in position to stop air from by-passing evaporator
(SEE FIGURE 2).

5. Install shorter right air dam and heater assembly from kit using screws and mounting holes
from original air dam.

6. Disconnect evaporator defrost heater and connect air dam heater in parallel with evaporator defrost heater.

7. Inspect for damaged or pinched wires.

8. Reinstall evaporator cover, ice maker, shelving, and basket.

9. Inspect the doors and gaskets. Check for air leaks, that the doors fall closed and seal, if necessary raise the front
of the unit so the doors will fall closed. Lubricate the hinge side of door gaskets and door hinge pivot points with silicone
grease (Amana part number 26594P).
Note:The (2) M0322701Amp splices provided in this kit are to be used in the event R0131467 Supply Duct Heater kit is also
being installed.
