INTRODUCTION

Congratulations on your purchase of the Marmitek Audio Anywhere 685. The Audio Anywhere 685 consists of a transmitter and a receiver. The signal is transmitted at 2.4 GHz and can therefore go through walls and ceilings. The transmitter/receiver allows digital (SPDIF) audio signals to be transmitted wirelessly, including 5.1 surround.

Via the Audio Anywhere 685, you can playback TV sound or music on your audio system without having to connect your sound source with cables. This may, for example, be a TV, PC or laptop. The Audio Anywhere 685 has a range of approx. 10 metres, so you can enjoy your audio in the same or adjoining room without limitations.

INSTALLING THE AUDIO ANYWHERE 685 TRANSMITTER

Any audio source can be connected to the transmitter, such as a TV, satellite receiver, MP3 player, stereo equipment, etc., provided it has a digital audio output (coaxial or TOSLINK).

1. Connect the coaxial or TOSLINK cable to the digital output of your TV or PC/laptop.

2. Connect the adapter to the micro USB port and plug the adapter into the wall socket. The blue LED will now light up when you turn the on/off switch to ON.

3. Let your audio source produce sound.

INSTALLING THE AUDIO ANYWHERE 685 RECEIVER

1. Connect the coaxial or TOSLINK cable to the digital input of your surround set.

2. Connect the adapter to the micro USB port and plug the adapter into the wall socket. The red LED will now light up if the on/off switch is ON.

3. The transmitter and receiver will now establish a connection and you will now hear the sound from your audio source coming from the device that is connected to the receiver. To confirm the connection, the red LED will turn blue.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

I cannot pair my Audio Anywhere 685.

Please note the following:

1. Ensure that the AC adapter is connected and the LED is lit.

2. Make sure that the distance between the transmitter and receiver does not exceed 10 metres and there are no major obstacles between them.

3. Verify that the LED on the receiver is blue. If it is red, there is no connection. If it is off, turn the on/off switch to ON.

There is no sound coming from my audio system

x Make sure that the coaxial or TOSLINK cable is connected

properly, the correct input is selected on your audio system and the volume of your audio system is set to the desired level.

Should I use the same cable to the transmitter and the receiver?

x No. You may, for example, use the coaxial connector on the

transmitter, and the TOSLINK connector on the receiver.

I have paired my TV's audio wirelessly with my audio system, but the sound is not in sync with the video.

Your TV needs more time to build up the image than to play the sound. The sound coming from your TV will therefore be played with a slight delay, to allow video and audio to be in sync. For best results, connect the Audio Anywhere transmitter to your TV's audio output, instead of your set-top box or satellite receiver's audio output.

Can I connect my speakers to the receiver directly?

In order to hear sound or music, connect the receiver to an amplifier with separate (built-in) speakers or so-called active speakers (with built-in amplifier). You cannot connect passive speakers directly to the receiver.

Can I also connect my transmitter/receiver's USB cable to a USB connector of, for example, my amplifier or TV?

Yes, you can. However, the connection will only be used for powering your Audio Anywhere 685. The transmitter/receiver will then automatically switch on and off in line with the amplifier or TV. (auto power on)

EINFÜHRUNG

Herzlichen Glückwunsch zum Erwerb des Marmitek Audio Anywhere685. Der Audio Anywhere 685 setzt sich aus einem Sender und einem Empfänger zusammen. Das Signal wird auf 2,4 GHZ ausgestrahlt und kann somit durch Wände und Decken hindurch empfangen werden. Mit dem Sender/Empfänger können (SPDIF) Audiosignale, wie z.B. 5.1 Surround, drahtlos übersendet werden.

Sie können jegliche Tonquelle an den Sender anschließen wie z.B. Fernseher, Satellitenempfänger, MP3 Player, Stereoanlage usw., die mit einem digitalen Audioausgang (Koaxial oder TOSLINK Anschluss) versehen ist.

1. Schließen Sie das Koaxial oder TOSLINK Kabel an den

digitalen Ausgang Ihres Fernsehers oder PC/Laptops an.

2. Schließen Sie den Adapter an die Mikro USB-Schnittstelle an

und verbinden Sie den Adapter mit der Steckdose. Wenn Sie

den EIN/AUS Schalter nun auf ON stellen, leuchtet die blaue

LED auf.

3. Schalten Sie Ihre Audioquelle ein.

1. Schließen Sie das Koaxial oder TOSLINK Kabel an den

digitalen Eingang Ihres Surround Sets an.

2. Schließen Sie den Adapter an die Mikro USB-Schnittstelle an

und verbinden Sie den Adapter mit der Steckdose. Wenn Sie

den EIN/AUS Schalter nun auf ON stellen, leuchtet die rote

LED auf.

3. Sender und Empfänger suchen nun Verbindung miteinander

und Sie hören Ihre Audioquelle auf dem am Empfänger

angeschlossenen Gerät. Zur Bestätigung der Verbindung

wird die rote LED blau.

HÄUFIG GESTELLTE FRAGEN

Ich kann meinen Audio Anywhere 685 nicht verbinden.

Achten Sie auf Nachfolgendes:

1. Überprüfen Sie, ob der Netzadapter angeschlossen ist und

die LED leuchtet.

2. Halten Sie einen Abstand unter 10 Metern zwischen Sender

und Empfänger ohne große, im Weg stehende Hindernisse

ein.

3. Überprüfen Sie, ob die LED am Empfänger blau aufleuchtet.

Leuchtet diese rot auf, so ist keine Verbindung hergestellt.

Leuchtet gar keine LED, betätigen Sie dann den EIN/AUS

Schalter.

Meine Stereoanlage bleibt still

x Überprüfen Sie, ob das Koaxial oder TOSLINK Kabel richtig

angeschlossen ist, der richtige Eingang auf Ihrer

Stereoanlage gewählt wurde und der Ton Ihrer Stereoanlage

auf das gewünschte Niveau eingestellt ist.

Muss ich am Sender und Empfänger dasselbe Kabel verwenden?

x Nein. Sie können am Sender z.B. den Koaxialanschluss

verwenden und am Empfänger den TOSLINK Anschluss.

Ich habe den Ton meines Fernsehers drahtlos an meine Stereoanlage gekoppelt, doch Bild und Ton laufen nicht synchron.

Ihr Fernseher benötigt mehr Zeit, um das Bild aufzubauen, als um den Ton abzuspielen. Der über Ihren Fernseher verlaufende Ton wird deshalb etwas später abgespielt, sodass Bild und Ton gleich laufen. Das beste Ergebnis erzielen Sie, wenn Sie den Audio Anywhere Transmitter an den Audioausgang Ihres Fernsehers anschließen und nicht an den Audioausgang Ihrer Settop-Box oder Ihres Satellitenempfängers.

Kann ich meine Lautsprecher auch unmittelbar an den Empfänger anschließen?

Um Ton oder Musik hören zu können, schließen Sie den Empfänger an einen Verstärker mit losen (Einbau) Lautsprechern oder so genannten aktiven Lautsprechern (mit eingebautem Verstärker) an. Sie können passive Lautsprecher nicht unmittelbar an den Empfänger anschließen.

Kann ich das USB Kabel meines Senders/Empfängers auch an einen USB Anschluss von beispielsweise meinem Verstärker oder Fernseher anschließen?

Ja, das ist möglich. Doch der Anschluss wird nur für die Speisung Ihres Audio Anywhere 685 genutzt. Der Sender/Empfänger schaltet sich dann automatisch mit dem Verstärker oder Fernseher ein und aus (Auto Power On).
