SAFETY WARNINGS

• To prevent short circuits, this product should only be used inside and only in dry spaces.
Do not expose the components to rain or moisture. Do not use the product close to a
bath, swimming pool etc.

• Do not expose the components of your systems to extremely high temperatures or
bright light sources.

• Do not open the product: the device contains live parts. The product should only be
repaired or serviced by a qualified repairman.

• In case of improper usage or if you have opened, altered and repaired the product
yourself, all guarantees expire. Marmitek does not accept responsibility in the case of
improper usage of the product or when the product is used for purposes other than
specified. Marmitek does not accept responsibility for additional damage other than
covered by the legal product responsibility.

• Adapters: Never connect an adapter or power cord when it is damaged. In that case,
contact your supplier.

1. Plug the POWERMID XL™ IR Receiver into a 220V/240V outlet in the room where you

want to use your remote control (up to 20 feet/6 meters away from where you want to
control your A/V equipment). Make sure the front of the IR Receiver (with POWERMID
name) faces you. Fully extend the antenna.

2. Plug the POWERMID XL™ IR Transmitter into a 220V/240V outlet in the room where

your DVD, Decoder, VCR, Stereo, etc. is located (max. 20 feet/6 meters distance). Make
sure the front of the IR Transmitter (with POWERMID name) faces the DVD, Decoder, VCR,
stereo etc. Fully extend the antenna.

3. Point your remote control at the POWERMID XL™ IR Receiver. The IR Receiver receives

the infrared signals, converts them to RF signals and transmits them to the POWERMID
XL™ IR Transmitter. The IR Transmitter then converts these signals into infrared again and
transmits these to your DVD, Decoder, VCR, stereo, etc.

Add more Receivers (Art.no. 08902) when you want to control your A/V equipment from
different rooms.

Add more Transmitters (Art.no. 08903) to control equipment in different rooms.

Add an Infrared Extender (Art.no. 09682) if you need to place the POWERMID XL IR
Transmitter next to your equipment instead of in front of it, or if your equipment is located inside
a closed cabinet.

Note: The Receiver and Transmitter will most likely be in different rooms.
The range is depending on:

1. The number of floors and walls the signal has to travel through and material these walls

and floors are made of.

2. Other 433MHz sources (e.g. wireless head phones, wireless speakers) can effect the

range of the Powermid XL. The best range will be achieved when these sources are
switched off while using the Powermid XL. Cordless phones will not affect the Powermid XL.

3. Some satellite receivers require more careful positioning of the Powermid system. If any

difficulty is encountered, try to move the Powermid (Transmitter) a little to various positions
until it operates correctly.

• Um Kurzschluss vorzubeugen, dieses Produkt bitte ausschließlich innerhalb des Hauses
und nur in trockenen Räumen nutzen. Setzen Sie die Komponenten nicht Regen oder
Feuchtigkeit aus. Nicht neben oder nahe eines Bades,Schwimmbades usw. verwenden.

• Setzen Sie die Komponente Ihres Systems nicht extrem hohen Temperaturen oder
starken Lichtquellen aus.

• Das Produkt niemals öffnen: Das Gerät enthält Bestandteile mit lebensgefährlicher
Stromspannung. Überlassen Sie Reparaturen oder Wartung nur Fachleuten.

• Bei einer zweckwidrigen Verwendung, selbst angebrachten Veränderungen oder selbst
ausgeführten Reparaturen verfallen alle Garantiebestimmungen. Marmitek übernimmt
bei einer falschen Verwendung des Produkts oder bei einer anderen Verwendung des

GEBRAUCHSANLEITUNG

1. Stecken Sie den Stecker des POWERMID XL™ IR Empfängers (Receiver) in die Steckdose

in dem Zimmer/Raum, von wo aus Sie ein A/V Gerät mit Ihrer Fernbedienung in einem
anderen Raum bedienen möchten. Stellen Sie den IR Empfängers innerhalb des Bereichs
Ihrer Fernbedienung auf (maximal 6 Meter). Sorgen Sie dafür, dass die vordere Seite (mit
dem POWERMID Namen) auf Sie gerichtet ist. Ziehen Sie die Antenne gänzlich heraus.

2. Stecken Sie den Stecker des POWERMID XL™ IR Senders (Transmitter) in die Steckdose

nahe der zu bedienenden A/V Geräte (maximal 6 Meter), wie z.B. DVD-Player, Decocer,
Videogerät, Stereoanlage usw.). Richten Sie die vordere Seite des IR Senders (mit dem
POWERMID Namen) auf Ihre A/V Geräte. Ziehen Sie die Antenne gänzlich heraus.

3. Richten Sie Ihre Fernbedienung auf den POWERMID XL™ IR Empfänger. Der IR

Empfänger empfängt diese Infrarot-Signale, wandelt diese in RF Signale um und sendet sie
zum POWERMID XL™ IR Sender. Der IR Sender setzt diese Signale wieder in Infrarot-Signale
um und sendet diese zu Ihrem DVD-Player, Decoder, Videogerät, Stereoanlage usw.

Ebenso können Sie mithilfe mehrerer Sender (Art. Nr. 08902) Geräte in unterschiedlichen
Räumen bedienen.

Mithilfe des optional lieferbaren INFRAROT-Extenders (Art. Nr. 09682) können Sie den
POWERMID IR Sender auch versteckt unterbringen.
