SD4050 Dual cassette deck
The SD4050 dual cassette deck offers the home recording enthusiast true versatility from its
auto reverse twin-deck for continuous play and record from one loaded tape to another. With
advanced features like 'one-touch' dubbing (with 'hi-speed' option), pitch control for changing
key and tempo, peak-level readout, fine bias tuning and synchro start for tape and CD, it
ensures accurate, professional-style home recordings. The profiled combination heads and anti-
resonant front panel guarantee faithful reproduction with a wide dynamic range and minimal
wow and flutter.

Easy recording for your benefit
The Marantz SD4050 offers a total solution for all your tape
playback and recording needs with it's double auto-reverse
cassette decks. The cassette deck can play three hours of nonstop music and offers superb recording facilities.
Tw in auto reverse deck
The twin auto reverse tape deck provides continuous play and
copying from one tape to another. By using the Hi-speed
dubbing functionality, the copying time will be reduced to half
of the normal copying time. Making a copy of your favourite
music was never this easy. Just place the tapes and activate the
recording. Your cassette deck will do the rest.
Pitch control
For adjustment of the tape speed and tonal balance, pitch
control has been incorporated in the cassette deck.
Dolby B/C & Dolby HX-pro
Dolby B/C provides a dramatic decrease of the amount of noise
in recordings. To optimise the recording and playback, this
selection should be used during recording as well as during
playback. The Hx pro feature provides an increase of dynamics
and is switched on by default.
D.Bus
To optimise equipment in terms of ease of use, Marantz has
designed the D.Bus system. Individual devices inform each
other, in order to automatically tune to the customers demands.
At the same time received remote control commands are
communicated via this bus. This enables equipment without IRreceiver, like a cassette deck or tuner, to be controlled via a
Marantz Remote control.
