Marantz DV7001 User Manual

Progressive Scan Universal DVD Player
Let’s start with the capability of handling every “alphabet soup” disc format you’re ever likely to play: DVD-V, DVD-A, SACD (both stereo and multi-channel), DVD-R/RW, DVD+R/RW, SVCD, VCD, CD, CD-R/CD-RW, MP3, WMA, JPEG HD, and DivX.
A new flagship D/A converter from Cirrus Logic handles audio information from any disc so you’ll hear every sonic nuance from either music or cinema sources. The analog audio circuits themselves are isolated on their own board for the finest in interference-free reproduction. And these critical circuits feature Marantz-proprietary HDAM modules for superb performance. Want a clear sign of the care we’ve taken here? Just look at the rear panel spacing for the analog outputs. There’s plenty of room for even the most exotic interconnects.
On the video side, the DV7001 benefits from a 12-bit/216MHz converter to make sure that this player gets all the information your discs have to offer. And then the DV7001 adds Faroudja DCDi processing and NSV (Noise Shaped Video) for stunning picture quality. Internal “scaling” – all the way to 1080p – gets those remarkable images to your display device through the DV7001’s HDMI output. So you’ll see the finest picture your system can deliver.
Of course, Marantz hasn’t forgotten the basics either. The segmented power supply – a switching design for video and a linear supply for analog audio – optimize this player for your benefit. A massive chassis with double-layer bottom plate makes the DV7001 all but immune to external vibrations, too.
The DV7001 also includes Dolby Pro Logic II and DTS decoders. And the DV7001 has an RS-232C terminal for integrated system control via touch screens if desired. For more conventional control strategies, there’s a direct IR input and a D-BUS remote connection. The detachable AC cord makes installation even easier than you might expect.
So enjoy your discs fully. Just make sure the Marantz DV7001 is the player in your system and you needn’t think any further. After all, you’ve got a Marantz.
