MDB-290 WATERPROOF SWITCH/ACTUATING ARM
REPLACEMENT KIT
Installation Instructions
A. Disconnect power to dispenser.
B. Remove top panel.
C. Remove front panel. Wing nuts on inside of ice chute
must be loosened to pull front panel away from dispenser.
D. Remove drip switch guard. Note
hold activating arm.
E. Remove switch box and gasket. Disconnect leads.
F. Lead wire terminals must be removed and butt connectors
in the kit attached.
G. Lead wires in conduit will require connection to micro
switch. Existing eyelet terminals to be cut off - strip
wires 5/16” for attaching butt connectors (item 9) to lead

If this switch is being installed on a dispenser that does not
have a mechanical or mercury relay to carry the gear motor
load, a relay of sufficient size must be added. Note
switch is not rated for gear motor amps.

H. Attach mylar screen assembly with double-face tape.
I. Attach new spring loaded activating arm assembly.
J. Adjust switch by sliding switch bracket forward or
backward while activating the dispensing arm until the
switch is positioned so that it makes (closes) just before
the arm bottoms out against the front panel. This will
assure that undue pressure is not put on the switch.
