AMT/R-600
AUDIO LINE DRIVER/RECEIVER
Model AMT/R-600 is a Line Driver and Line Receiver designed to interface bi-directional audio with other manufacturer’s transmission systems (fiber optic lines, wireless video transmissions, telephone wire, etc.) The unit consists of a microphone line driver and a line receiver/power driver. The line driver receives signals from the remote Louroe microphone and amplifies it to 0dB @ 600 (balanced) for input to the transmission
system being used. The line receiver/power driver matches the 600 balanced line and amplifies the signal to drive an 8 speaker with a 70V transformer to a maximum of 2W. A 15Vdc, 1A power supply is included with the AMT/R-600.

WIRING CONNECTIONS
The input side of the AMT/R-600 connects to the remote Louroe speaker/microphone. The output side of the AMT/R-600 connects to the audio input of the transmission system (fiber transceiver, wireless video transceiver, etc.)
Recommended cable (West Penn 356) contains 5 wires. Three shielded for the microphone (red, black and bare) and two unshielded for the speaker portion (green and white)
1. MICROPHONE CONNECTION OF SPEAKER/MICROPHONE (MODEL TLM-W USED AS AN EXAMPLE) REFER TO DIAGRAM P. 4:
The microphone portion contains a 3-pin terminal block marked A, B, C. Bring in cable and connect as follows: a. Connect red wire to pin A of microphone (12Vdc). b. Connect black wire to pin “B” of microphone (audio out). c. Connect drain wire (bare) to pin “C” of microphone (ground).
SPEAKER CONNECTION OF MODEL TLM-W:
Coming off the speaker’s 70V transformer are two lead wires, green (positive) and white (negative). Using wire nuts: a. Connect green wire from transformer to green wire of recommended cable.(positive) b. Connect white wire from transformer to white wire of recommended cable.(ground)
2. CONNECTION FROM SPEAKER/MICROPHONE TO AMT/R-600 LINE DRIVER-RECEIVER
MICROPHONE PORTION OF AMT/R-600:
Bring other end of recommended cable connected to remote speaker/microphone to “MIC IN” terminal block of AMT/R-600 marked A, B, C: a. Connect red wire to pin “A” of “MIC IN”. (12Vdc) b. Connect red wire to pin “B” of “MIC IN”. (Audio Output) c. Connect red wire to pin “C” of “MIC IN”. (Ground)
SPEAKER PORTION OF AMT/R-600:
The remaining two wires of recommended cable (green and white) connect to the 2-pin terminal block marked “TB OUT” of AMT/R-600. a. Green wire goes to pin on the right side of terminal block. b. White wire goes to pin on the left side of terminal block.
3. CONNECTION FROM AMT/R-600 TO TRANSMISSION DEVICE (FIBER TRANSCEIVER, ETC.)
MICROPHONE PORTION OF AMT/R-600:
The 2-pin terminal block of AMT/R-600 marked “MIC OUT” serves as the connection point for
driving the microphone into the audio input of the receiving device (fiber transceiver, wireless video transceiver, etc.)
a. Connect red wire of recommended cable to the right side pin of “MIC OUT” and the black wire
to the left side pin.
b. Run other end of cable to the audio input of the receiving device. Refer to installation
instructions provided by the manufacturer of the receiving device for audio input procedure.
c. If the receiving device (fiber transceiver) has an audio input pin for ground, connect the bare
wire of recommended cable to that input.

CONNECTION FROM AMT/R-600 TO TRANSMISSION DEVICE (continued from page 2)
d. If receiving device does not provide an input for ground, cut the wire and connect other end
of bare wire to pin C of “MIC IN” terminal (joining bare wire coming from Louroe speaker/microphone. See page 5 for interconnection drawing describing this procedure.
SPEAKER PORTION OF AMT/R-600:
The 2-pin terminal block of AMT/R-600 marked “TB IN” (talkback in) serves as the connection
point for transmitting talkback to the Louroe speaker/microphone.
Using the green and white speaker wires:
a. Connect green wire to pin on the right side of “TB IN” b. Connect white wire to pin on the left side of “TB IN”
Connect the other end of these two wires to the audio output of the fiber transmitter (or wireless video transmitter).
4. CONNECTION FROM FIBER RECEIVER (OR WIRELESS VIDEO RECEIVER) TO LOUROE MODEL TR-2 TRANSFORMER AND TO LOUROE AUDIO BASE STATION.
MICROPHONE CONNECTION
For proper impedance match, the microphone portion must connect to the Louroe Model TR-2 Transformer (600 to 10K) before connecting to the Louroe base station:
a. Connect the red and black wires to the appropriate pins of the “AUDIO OUT” block of fiber or
wireless video receiver. Check with the specific manufacturer’s guide. After connection, run
red wire to Model TR-2’s 600 side. b. Red wire connects to pin “B”of 600W side of TR-2 Transformer. c. Black wire connects to pin “C” 600W side of TR-2 Transformer. d. Bare wire connects to pin C of 10K side of TR-2 Transformer.
CONNECTING MICROPHONE FROM 10K SIDE TO LOUROE BASE STATION: e. Connect black wire to pin “B” of 10 side and run to pin “B” of Louroe Base Station terminal
block located on back panel. f. Connect bare wire to pin “C” of 10 side and run to pin “C” of Louroe Base Station terminal
block located on back panel.
SPEAKER PORTION (SEE NEXT PAGE)
The two speaker wires bypass the TR-2 Transformer and connect directly to the Louroe base station
a. Connect green and white wires to appropriate pins of the “AUDIO IN” block of fiber or video
transmitter. Check with the specific manufacturer’s installation guide. After connection, run green and white wires to rear panel of Louroe base station, green wire goes to “SP” pin, white wire to “G” pin.
NOTE: Terminal blocks of Louroe base station may vary regarding the mic and speaker inputs.
Refer to the specific Louroe base station installation instruction.
