1.6 Usage

This model is ideal for providing fume extraction at the workplace. It operates very quietly and is recommended for the connection of 1 to 4 exhaust arms or two exhaust cabinets. For low operating costs the Unit features a large filter of 14" x 18", which reduces the frequency of filter replacements. A differential pressure gauge indicates the filter status.

2. Description

2.1 Operating Elements and Construction

Main Switch (Foot Switch)
A foot switch is used to turn the filter unit on and off. This switch needs to be located as far away from the filter unit as possible.
Filter Monitor
• Differential Pressure Gauge (Filter Monitor)
The differential pressure gauge monitors the filter condition by measuring the pressure difference (pressure drop) between upstream and downstream of the particulate filters. As filter saturation increases, the pressure drop increases and the airflow decreases.
When the pressure drop reaches a predefined level, filter maintenance should be performed. This is generally the point where airflow is inadequate.
• Gas Phase Monitor
There is no filter monitoring system for the gas phase filter installed in this model. The monitoring of the exhaust air according to Indoor Air Quality Standards remains the responsibility of the operator. Please refer to Gas Phase Filter Monitoring.
