Radial DOWN
Mount the antenna vertically as shown with radial mounting
depending on your application. (If installation is above 50 feet from the
ground, see diagram A. If installation is below 50 feet, see diagram B.)
Installation
Antenna should be mounted in such a way as to provide line-of-sight to
receivers. In general, the higher the mounting the better. NOTE: You will
need 76” of vertical clearance to mount the 72MHz antenna (LA-116) and
24” of vertical clearance to mount the 216MHz antenna (LA-117).
Higher Level Installations
In larger facilities (such as an arena or gymnasium)
where the antenna is mounted substantially higher
than users, mount the antenna such that the
“radial” is mounted DOWN.
IMPORTANT: Make sure the feed line does
not protrude below the
radial side, at least within
12 feet (3.7m) of the antenna.
