6x12 Patch Cord Kit

The MDS-PCK 6x12 Patch Cord Kit includes six stereo audio breakout cables and six dual-input IR emitters.
The kit allows connection of six audio sources to two MDS-6A amplifiers. The two MDS-6A amplifiers can create
up to 12 independent speaker zones that distribute audio from the six sources. The six dual-input IR emitters
route IR remote control signals to each of the six audio source components.

✦ NOTE: The whole-house-music and system on/off commands issued from a speaker zone control keypad will

only effect the MDS-6A unit that the keypad is connected to.

INSTALLATION (See Figure)

1. Connect the “piggy back” black and red plugs on each audio breakout cable to the left and right source
input jacks on MDS-6A Unit #1. Then connect the male black and red plugs for each cable to the same
zone number left and right source input jacks on MDS-6A Unit #2.

2. Connect each source component’s left and right audio output to the “piggy back” jacks of the desired zone
number on the MDS-6A Unit #1 left and right audio source inputs.

3. Connect the two plugs on each dual-input IR emitter to the same zone number IR emitter output jacks on
both MDS-6A units. Affix the IR emitter over the IR sensor on each audio source component.

Linear LLC warrants this product to be free from defects in material and workmanship for 5 years. The time period will be measured
using the date code labeled on the product. Linear LLC is not responsible for damage to the product resulting from the buyer’s
improper handling, stocking or warehousing of the product. Any implied warranty arising from the sale of the product including
implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for purpose are limited. Linear LLC shall not be responsible for any losses,
damages or expenses, whether direct, consequential, or incidental arising from the use or the inability to use the product. Some
states and countries do not allow limitations or how long an implied warranty lasts or the exclusion or limitation or incidental or
consequential damages, so the above exclusions may not apply. The Linear LLC warranty gives specific legal rights in addition to
other rights, which may exist and vary from state to state and country to country.
The warranty is limited to repair or replacement of products returned, freight prepaid, to Linear LLC, there is NO PROVISION FOR
LABOR COST OR OTHER REIMBURSEMENTS OF ANY KIND.
