servicing this equipment. Improper installation, adjustment, alteration, service or
maintenance can cause property damage, injury or death.

Do not use parchment paper when placing food product through the toaster! Use of
such materials may cause a fire and should never be placed in the toaster.

• Required clearances must be maintained from all walls and combustible materials.

• Keep the toaster area free and clear of combustible material.

• Do not obstruct the ventilation holes as these provide cooling air for the controls.

• The toaster is to be operated only on the type of electricity as shown on the specification plate.

• This manual should be retained for future reference.

TOASTING BREAD PRODUCTS

Toasting bread products may seem to be a simple process but the results can be easily affected by a number of
factors. The first consideration is the type of product being toasted. Varieties of bread such as whole wheat, rye,
white, english muffins, bagels and buns have different requirements to become perfectly toasted. Dryness or
moisture content of the bread (mostly described as “freshness,” with more moisture bei ng the fresher), sugar
content and the thickness of the slice or bun all play a predominant role during toasting.

Your SRT3-10 front return toaster is designed to accommodate these varieties of bread products by self-regulating
the conveyor speed to create lighter or darker toasting and to allow for toasting thicker products that contain more
moisture such as english muffins or fresh bagels. This is made possible by the self-regulating speed control which
senses the amount of product placed on the conveyor belt. It is normal for the toaster to operate in the lower
ranges of the speed control to perform toasting of these more difficult products.

Certain breads that contain fruit and nuts may require more attention. Loose pieces can fall on the heating
elements or into the conveyor mechanism and cause premature wear on the toaster. It is reco mmended that loose
pieces be removed before placing the bread on the conveyor.

Since it is nearly impossible to predetermine what conveyor speed produces perfect results, some experimentation
is necessary with all types of bread you will be toasting. Once all varieties of product have been tried and the
proper settings found, document the results and refer to them when toasting. Remember that allowances for
freshness might require additional adjustments.

BEFORE INSTALLATION

NOTE: Upon receipt of this unit, immediately unpack and inspect for possible concealed shipping d amage. If unit
is found to be damaged, save all packing materials and contact your delivery carrier within 5 days. Refer to
“Shipping Damage Instructions” enclosed for detailed instructions. Failure to follow these in structions will negate
Lincoln’s or your ability to file claims and receive compensation for shipping damage.

This manual contains important safety and installation-operation instructions. Require all operators to read this
manual before using this unit. Failure to follow the instructions contained in this manual may cause injury, damage
to the unit, and will void the warranty.

INSTALLATION

Install this unit in the most convenient location for ease of cleaning, maintenance and general operation. Avoid
installing in locations with drafts, close proximity to grease or vapor-producing appliances or other high ambient
heat equipment. If the unit is placed next to a “high-heat” appliance such as a fryer or grill, you must allow at least
1ft. (304.8mm) distance for proper operation. If the toaster is not located next to a high-heat appliance, it must
have 6” (152mm) of clearance from all combustible surfaces. If unit is not near a combustible surface,
approximately 1” (25.4mm) of clearance is recommended for proper air circulation. Allow sufficient overhead
clearance for proper heat dissipation. This toaster must be level for proper operation.

Before operating this unit, be sure the following component (Entry Tray) is properly installed.

This appliance is not intended for use by young children or infirm persons unless
they have been adequately supervised by a responsible person to ensure that
they can use the appliance safely. Young children should be supervised to
ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

ELECTRICAL SERVICE & GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS

Heat is supplied by ten (10) infrared heating elements with six (6) located on top and four (4) on the bottom. Each
toaster is rated at 4850 Watts. A separate circuit breaker is required for each toaster. Domestic single phase units
require a 30 amp electrical service with receptacle type NEMA 6-30R to mate with a provided NEMA 6-30P plug.

When installed, this appliance must be electrically grounded and its installation must comply with the National
Electric Code, ANSI-NFPA 70, latest edition, the Manufacturer’s Installation Instructions, and applicable municipal
building codes. In Canada, all electrical connections are to be made in accordance with CSA C22.1 – Canadian
Electrical Code Part 1 and/or local codes.

DOMESTIC:

As it pertains to domestic models, this appliance is equipped with a three-prong
(grounding) plug for your protection against shock hazard and should be plugged
directly into a properly grounded three-prong receptacle. Do not cut or remove the
grounding prong from this plug.

When installed, this appliance must be electrically grounded and its installation must comply with the National
Electric Code, ANSI-NFPA 70, latest version, the Manufacturer’s Installation Instructions, and applicable municipal

IN CANADA

All electrical connections are to be made in accordance with CSA C22.1 – Canadian Electrical Code Part 1 and/or
local codes.

ALL OTHER COUNTRIES

Local electrical codes will prevail.

1. Strain Relief is provided with each toaster. International Dealer/Distributors provide applicable power cord/plug
for each customer.

2. All pole disconnection switch 3mm open contact distance.

3. To prevent electrical shock, an equal potential bonding ground lug is provided in the back. This allows the
toaster to be connected to an external bonding system.

VENTILATION

Local codes prevail. These are the “authority having jurisdiction” as stated by the NATIONAL FIRE PROTECTION
ASSOCIATION, INC. in NFPA 96, latest edition.

SPACING

If the unit is placed next to a “high-heat” appliance such as a fryer or grill, you must allow at least 1ft. (304.8mm)
distance for proper operation. If the toaster is not located next to a high-heat appliance, it must have 6” (152mm) of
clearance from all combustible surfaces. If unit is not near a combustible surface, approximately 1” (25.4mm) of
clearance is recommended for proper air circulation.

FUNCTIONS

THERMAL CUT-OUT SWITCH
The Front Return Toaster includes a “safety thermal cut-out switch” for your protection. This safety related device

is designed to insure that the toaster doesn’t overheat and damage the unit. In the unlikely event that the toaster
would exceed the specified operating temperature range, the “safety thermal cut-out switch” will activate, thus
blocking power to the toaster and causing it to turn off.

1. Turn the “On / Off” Switch to the “On” position. The green light will illuminate.

2. Display will read “Lo” until the toaster reaches setpoint.

for more information).

4. For peak operation, allow the toaster to warm up for 30 minutes prior to use.

DUAL MENU PROGRAMS
The SRT3-10 Toaster is equipped with two (2) separate menu programs to allow for dual menu setting s. These

menu programs are shown on the display as “P1” and “P2.” To access each menu, simply press the “1” or “2”
button to access the respective menus. Once you have selected the desired menu, follow the step-by-step
operating instructions on the following pages to operate your toaster.

• Press and hold the “1” button to operate the toaster according to the settings of Menu 1.

• Press and hold the “2” button to operate the toaster according to the settings of Menu 2.

Please note that Menu 1 and Menu 2 are both preset at the factory to the same settings.
The factory default settings are as follows: Time = 30 seconds, Temp Intensity = 8.5

TO READ CURRENT SETTINGS FOR TIME AND TEMPERATURE INTENSITY

1. Select desired menu (see Dual Menu Programs section for more information). To read what the current

TIME settings are for your toaster, simply press and release the “Up” arrow once. Display will read the
current TIME setting. The allowable range for TIME settings is between 15 and 60 seconds. After a few
seconds the display will revert back to the previous view.

2. To read what the current TEMPERATURE INTENSITY settings are for your toaster, simply press and

release the “Up” arrow once. Display will read the current TEMPERATURE INTENSITY setting. The
allowable range for TEMPERATURE INTENSITY settings is between 1.0 and 9.9.

TO CHANGE SETTINGS FOR TIME

1. Select desired menu (see Dual Menu Programs section for more information). While toaster is on, press

and hold the TIME “Up” button until the reading on the display begins to “blink” – then release finger off the
“Up” button.

2. While the display is blinking, press either the “Up” or “Down” buttons dependi ng on the TIME setting you

wish to reach.

3. Once you have reached the desired TIME setting, wait for display to stop blinkin g. The new setting will be

saved into memory once the display has stopped blinking. After the new setting has been saved the disp lay
will revert back to “P1” or “P2” menu (depending on which menu program you originally selected).

TO CHANGE SETTINGS FOR TEMPERATURE INTENSITY

1. Select desired menu (see Dual Menu Programs section for more information). While toaster is on, press

and hold the TEMPERATURE INTENSITY “Up” button until the reading on the display begins to “blink” –
then release finger off the “Up” button.

2. While the display is blinking, press either the “Up” or “Down” buttons depending on the TEMPERATURE

INTENSITY setting you wish to reach.

3. Once you have reached the desired setting, wait for display to stop blinking. The new setting will be saved

into memory once the display has stopped blinking.

After the TEMPERATURE INTENSITY setting has been changed, it is important to note that it may take a few
minutes for the toaster to complete the conversion to the new setting. The display will read “HI” or “Lo”
depending on the type of conversion until it reaches the new setting.

4. After the new setting has been saved and the toaster reached the new TEMPERATURE INTENSITY

setting the display will revert back to “P1” or “P2” menu.

CALIBRATION MODE

IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT YOU ADHERE TO THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS PERTAINING TO
THE CALIBRATION MENU. FAILURE TO FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS COULD RESULT IN THE
MALFUNCTION OF YOUR TOASTER.

While not likely, it is possible that the user could accidentally access the calibration menu of the toaster. If the user
has entered the calibration menu, the display will read “00.” Follow these instructions to immediately exit the
calibration menu:

1. If the display reads “00,” you have accidentally entered the calibrat ion menu.

2. Turn power switch to the “Off” position for 5 seconds then turn unit on. This will return the unit back to

normal operation.

CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS

Lincoln toasters are designed for easy cleaning. The stainless steel outer case requires nothing more than a daily
wiping with a soft damp cloth to retain its lustrous finish. If, however, an excessive amount of grease or dirt is
allowed to collect, a non-abrasive cleaner (hot sudsy water) may be used. DO NOT allow water or cleaning
compounds to contact the internal parts, especially the switches on the control panel. Remove receiving
tray/delivery chute and reflector tray daily to remove crumbs which may collect. The non-stick coated conveyor belt
should be wiped with a soft damp cloth daily to remove any food particles which may collect. DO NOT use
abrasive cleaners on the conveyor belt.

Before disconnecting power supply from toaster, allow unit to cool down until
the fan shuts off automatically. Failure to do so could result in component
failures.

Toaster must be cool. Do not use power-cleaning equipment, steel wool, or

When using cleaning solutions, be sure they meet local and national health
standards.

LIMITED WARRANTY FOR COMMERCIAL PRODUCTS

LIMITED WARRANTY

Lincoln Foodservice Products, LLC (“Lincoln”) warrants this product to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of one (1) year
from the date of purchase.

During the warranty period, Lincoln shall, at Lincoln’s option, repair, or replace parts determined by Lincoln to be defective in material or
workmanship, and with respect to services, shall re-perform any defective portion of said services. The foregoing shall be the sole obligation of
Lincoln under this Limited Warranty with respect to the equipment, products, and services. With respect to equipment, materials, parts and
accessories manufactured by others, Lincoln’s sole obligation shall be to use reasonable efforts to obtain the full benefit of the manufacturer’s
warranties. L i nc oln shall have n o lia b i l i t y, wh e t h e r i n contract, tort, negligence, or otherwise, with respect to non-Lincoln manufactured products.

WHO IS COVERED
This Limited Warranty is available only to the original purchaser of the product and is not transferable.

EXCLUSIONS FROM COVERAGE

• Repair or replacement of parts required because of misuse, improper care or storage, negligence, alteration, accident, use of incompatible
supplies or lack of specified maintenance shall be excluded

• Normal maintenance items, including but not limite d to , lig ht bulbs, fuses, gaskets, O-rings, interior and exterior finishes,
lubrication, conveyor belt, motor bushes, broken glass, etc. adjustments and calibrations for temperatures, speed and air flows

• Failures caused by improper or erratic voltages

• Improper or unauthorized repair

• Changes in adjustment and calibration after ninety (90) days from equipment installation date

• This Limited Warranty will not apply to any parts subject to damage beyond the control of Lincoln, or to equipment which has been subject

to alteration, misuse or improper installation, accidents, damage in shipment, fire, floods, power changes, other hazards or acts of God that
are beyond the control of Lincoln

• This Limited Warranty does not apply, and shall not cover any products or equipment manufactured or sold by Lincoln when such products
or commercial equipment is installed or used in a residential or non-commercial application. Installations not within the applicable building or
fire codes render this Limited Warranty and any responsibility or obligations associated therein null and void. This includes any damage,
costs, or legal actions resulting from the installation of any Lincoln commercial cooking equipment in a non-commercial application or
inst a l l ation , w here t h e e quipm e nt is b e i n g used f o r applications other than those approved for by Lincoln.

LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY
The preceding paragraphs set forth the exclusive remedy for all claims based on failure of, or defect in, products or services sold hereunder,
whether the failure or defect arises before or during the warranty period, and whether a claim, however instituted, is based on contract, indemnity,
warranty, tort (including negligence), strict liability, implied by statute, common-law or otherwise , and Lincoln its servants and agents shall not
be liable for any claims for personal injuries, incidental or consequential damages or loss, howsoever caused. Upon the expiration of the
warranty period, all such liability shall terminate. THE FOREGOING WARRANTIES ARE EXCLUSIVE AND IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER
WARRANTIES, WHETHER WRITTEN, ORAL, IMPLIED OR STATUTORY NO IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS
FOR PARTICULAR PURPOSE SHALL APPLY. LINCOLN DOES NOT WARRANT ANY PRODUCTS OR SERVICES OF OTHERS.

REMEDIES
The liability of Lincoln for breach of any warranty obligation hereun de r i s l i m it e d to: (i) the repair or repla ce m e nt of the equipment on which the
liability is based, or with respect to services, re-performance of the services; or (ii) at Lincoln’s option, the refund of the amount paid for said
equipment or services.
Any breach by Lincoln with respect to an y item or unit of equipment or services sh all be deemed a breach with respect to that item or unit o r
service only

WARRANTY CLAIM PROCEDURE
Customer shall be responsible to:

• Immediately advi se the Dealer or Lincoln ’s Authorized Service Agent of the equipment serial number and the nature of the problem.

• Verify the problem is a factory responsibility. Improper installation or misuse of equipment, are not covered under this Limited

Warranty.

• Cooperate with the Service Agency so that warranty service may be completed during normal working hours.

• Travel Time not to exceed two hours and mileage not to exceed one hundred (100) miles.

GOVERNING LAW
Limited Warranty shall be governed by the laws of the state of Delaware, USA , ex clu d in g t he ir conflicts of law principles. The United Nations
Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods is hereby excluded in its entirety from application to this Limited Warranty
