F.C.C. rules prohibit adjustments to or modification of receiver and/or transmitter circuitry except for changing the code setting
and/or replacing the transmitter battery. THERE ARE NO OTHER USER SERVICEABLE PARTS.
For use with Remote Control Transmitters - Models 61LM, 62LM, 63LM, and 64LM.
IMPORTANT: Disable your existing receiver before installing this replacement unit. If this is not possible, locate receiver
as far from original receiver as possible. When installing two or more receivers in a garage, position them at least 10 feet
apart to prevent electronic interference.
CAUTION: Do not attempt to open the back of the receiver case. NO USER SERVICEABLE PARTS.
OPEN RECEIVER: Insert a small screwdriver in slot on
receiver front panel as shown. Twist up actuator cover.
CONNECT RECEIVER AND OPENER: Remove about
1/4” of insulation from each end of the 2-strand bell wire.
Connect one end to the receiver screw terminals (polarity
is NOT required). Route wire along channels and out the
bottom as shown.
Connect the other end of the bell wire to the two opener
terminal screws labeled “white & red”, “common &
command”, or the terminals used for the push button
control.
Use insulated staples (not supplied) to secure bell wire
between receiver and opener. Length of bell wire depends
on where the receiver will be installed.
Choose a 120 Volt AC polarized outlet for the receiver
which is OUT OF THE REACH OF CHILDREN. Plug
receiver into selected outlet. Return power to the
opener.

INSTALL THE RECEIVER OUT OF THE REACH OF CHILDREN. DO NOT ALLOW CHILDREN TO
OPERATE RECEIVER OR REMOTE CONTROL TRANSMITTER. SERIOUS PERSONAL INJURY FROM A
CLOSING DOOR MAY RESULT FROM MISUSE OR THE OPENER. DISCONNECT POWER TO THE
OPENER BEFORE INSTALLING RECEIVER.
MATCHING/CHANGING THE CODE
SET CODES SWITCHES IN ALL REMOTE CONTROL TRANSMITTERS TO MATCHING POSITIONS
Shown below are some of the accessory remote controls available for use with this universal receiver. If more than one
remote will be used to operate your garage door opener, the code switches in ALL remotes must be set to the same positions.
Please refer to instructions included with the transmitter for specific code setting procedures. Code Switch #1 in a multifunction remote is neutral - set it to any position.

SET RECEIVER TO MATCH TRANSMITTER(S) CODE
YOU MAY WANT SOMEONE TO HELP AT THIS POINT!
1. Press and HOLD the selected push button on the
remote control transmitter.
2. Then press the ‘Smart’ button on the receiver. The
adjacent indicator light will FLASH and the door will
begin to MOVE. Release the remote push button.
Code setting is now complete. Snap cover back on
receiver.
NOTE: If the remote control push button is not held
down until the receiver indicator light flashes, the
opener will not learn the code.
