Install the Handset and Charger
Connect Battery Pack -- The battery pack is
shipped in the Handset, but it is not connected.
a) Open the battery compartment and remove
the battery
b) Insert the battery plug into the two-pin jack,
and insert the battery.
Attach Belt Clip – Snap the Belt Clip onto the
sides of the Handset.
Connect Charging Cradle – Connect the
Charging Cradle power supply to the bottom of
the charging cradle and to the electrical wall
outlet.
Note: The jack is keyed so that the plug can
only be inserted in one direction. Be careful not
to crimp wire.
c) Replace the battery cover.
d) The handset display will illuminate when
battery is connected.
Note:
o Use only InGrid IG80 rechargeable battery packs
supplied with your various Home Protection
components.
o Replacement battery packs are also available
through the InGrid’s customer service at 1-877INGRID7 or on-line at www.InGridHome.com
only the supplied AC power adapter. Do not use
any other adapter.
Use
o Place the power cord so that it does not create a
trip hazard or where it could become pinched and
create an electrical hazard.
o Do NOT use AC power outlets that are controlled
by a wall switch
Charge Handset – Place the Handset in the
Charging Cradle. When properly seated on the
cradle, the amber light on the front of the cradle
will be illuminated.
1. Immediately place the Handset in the Charging Cradle
that came packed with the Handset. THE HANDSET
MUST CHARGE AT LEAST 2 HOURS PRIOR TO
ATTEMPTING ANY SECURITY SYSTEM
INSTALLATION. IT MUST CHARGE 12 HOURS
BEFORE MAKING PHONE CALLS.
2. The phone system comes with various settings predefined from the factory. Should you want to change
these settings we suggest waiting until after you
activate your system. These settings include, ring
tones, ring volume, distinctive ringing, display contrast
etc.

Add the Handset to your InGrid
System

After the Handset and Charger are installed, use
a Handset or Console that is already registered
on the System to enter the Security Menu and
follow the steps for installing new hardware.
Enter the Security Menu
After installing the hardware, enter Menu on
your Handset or Console.
o Scroll to Setup and press SELECT
o Scroll to Security and press SELECT
o Enter Master Code and press SELECT
Add the Handset
1. Using the scroll and SELECT buttons on
your existing Handset or Console, navigate
to GC or Handset (Menu/Setup/Security/GC
or Handset/<Add New>).

system will begin searching for the new
Handset or Console you are looking to add.
3. On the New Handset or Console press the
SEARCH key.
