LG First and Second Generation Wireless
SiBEAM
generation of LG Wireless Televisions used a different technology, based on the
60-gigahertz band of the radio spectrum, with higher speeds but shorter ranges.
SiBEAM can transfer data at 4 gigabits per second and has a range of 32 feet.
The Wireless Chip Set used in LG’s second – generation Wireless Televisions
are designed and built by Amimon. Amimon’s second - generation technology
operates in the 5 - gigahertz band, and transmits Video data rates at 3 gigabits
per second (including uncompressed 1080p) , and has a range of about 100
feet and can pierce through walls, latency is less than one millisecond. WHDI™
(Wireless Home Digital Interface) enables a wireless video link that offers the
same functionality as a wired link.

LED
If there are questions about the functionality of the
USB Adaptor, first make sure the LED illuminates. If
it does not, try any USB jump drive that has an LED.
If it lights and the USB Wireless adaptor LED does
not, replace the adaptor. Or you can plug the USB
Wireless adaptor into any USB port on your laptop.
The LED on the side of the USB adaptor should
illuminate, it will be dim compared to when it is
illuminated by plugging it into the TV, but it should
light. If it lights in the Laptop’s USB but not in the TV,
check the USB 5V driver IC8000 on the Main board.
Pins 2 and 3 should be outputting +5V for the USB.

USB Wireless Broadband/DLNA Adaptor Troubleshooting
USB Wireless Broadband/DLNA Adaptor Troubleshooting
If there are questions about the USB Adaptor and/or the TV’s ability to connect to
the internet Access point, try the following checks. You should carry with you a
simple Wireless router set up with no security. Disconnect the Customer’s
Wireless router and hook yours directly to the Internet feed from the customer’s
modem. See if the TV will connect, if the answer is no, then make sure you can
connect via your computer. If yes, use a long cable between router and modem
and move the router closer to the TV. If this corrects the problem they will need to
relocate the router. If not, connect your Wireless Modem via wired LAN connector
to the TV’s LAN input. If the TV works this way, the TV is OK. If you don’t have a
Wireless router, you can also test the TV’s ability by downloading A trial copy of
Nero MediaHome or the latest version of Windows Media Player and installing it
on your Laptop computer. (If you have Window’s 7 there’s no need to install Nero
Home). Connect your Laptop via wired LAN connector to the TV’s LAN input. You
will not be able to see the Internet, but you should be able to see media files in
your shared folder on your computer. If you can the TV is working normally and
the fault lies with the Wireless USB adaptor.
