dry
articles

come

GROUNDING
INSTRUCTIONS
This
appliance
must
be
grounded.
In
the
event
of
malfunction
or
breakdown,
grounding
will
reduce
the
risk
of
electric
shock

providing
a
path
of
least
resistance
for
electric

appliance

following
instructions
will
help
guide
you
through
the
initial
steps
of
setting
up
your
dryer
for
use.
Please
note

this

provides

the
preparation

use

your
dryer,

proceeding
with
any
installation
or
use.

instructions
concerning
electrical
connections,
gas
connections,

exhaust
requirements
are
provided
at

of
this
manual.
Choose
a
location
with
a
solid
floor
for
your
dryer.
Place
the
dryer
at
least
eighteen
inches
above
the
floor
for
a
garage
installation.
After
placing
the
dryer
in
the
desired
location,
please
confirm
that
the
dryer
has
the
required
clearances
through
reference
to
the
following
information
and
manual
sections
on
Exhaust
Requirements
and
Maintenance.
Installing
Your
Dryer
in
a
Closet
or
Recessed
Area.
Following
are
instructions
concerning
and
the
minimum
clearances
required
for
any
closet,
recessed
area,
or
customized
under-counter
installation:
?
Additional
spacing
should
be
considered
for
installation
and
servicing.
?
Additional
clearances
might
be
required
for
wall,
door,
and
floor
moldings.
?
Additional
spacing
of
1
in.
(2.5
cm)
on
all
sides
of
the
dryer
is
recommended
to
reduce
noise
transfer.
?
For
closet
installation
with
a
door,
minimum
ventilation
openings
in
the
top
and
bottom
of
the
door
are
required.
Louvered
doors
with
equivalent
ventilation
openings
are
acceptable.
Companion
appliance
spacing
should
also
be
considered.

Most
installations
require
a
minimum
5
1/2
in.
(14

clearance
behind
the
dryer

with
