Precautions

Before Using This Terminal

• This terminal supports LTE, W-CDMA, GSM/ GPRS, and Wireless LAN Systems.
• Since this terminal uses wireless signal, it may not be able to use in a location with no signal reception such as a tunnel, underground, a building, an outdoor location with weak or poor signal reception, or a location outside of the LTE and FOMA service areas. Also this terminal may not be able to use on upper oors of high-rise apartments or buildings, even if you can see no obstructions around you. Please note that on occasion, data communication may become disconnected even when you are in a strongsignal area with 4 signal bars displayed while you are not moving.
• Since this terminal uses wireless signal, there are possibilities that a third party may intercept your telephone call. However, LTE, W-CDMA, and GSM/GPRS systems support the privacy function covering all telephone calls automatically. Therefore, even a third party intercepts your telephone call, the third party can hear nothing but the noise.
• Because this terminal conducts wireless communication by transforming sound into digital signal, the received sound may di󱐯er from the actual one if the transmitted digital signal cannot properly be restored according to conditions such as moving into a poor signal area.
• Regularly take a memo of the data you registered in this terminal or store it in the external memories such as microSD card or PC. DOCOMO assumes no responsibility for any loss of your data caused by malfunction, repair, change to a new model or any other reasons.
Precautions
5
Page 8
• The same as a PC, when you install an application, this terminal's performance may become unstable, or your location information and personal information registered on this terminal might be sent to outside via Internet and therefore cause fraudulent use. Therefore, verify the supplier and operating conditions of the apps, sites, etc. to be used before using them.
• This terminal automatically performs communication for some functions, for example, to synchronize data, check the latest software or maintain connection with the server. Additionally, when you download applications or watch video etc., a large amount of packet communication charges is executed. Therefore, it is highly recommended to use packet pack or packet at-rate service.
• Depending on the applications or service you use, packet communication charge may be applied even in Wi-Fi
• When free space is not enough in microSD card or in this terminal, the performance of the activated applications may become improper. In that case, delete the saved data.
• In case of loss of the terminal, set the password for screen lock to ensure the security of the terminal.
Precautions

®
communication.
• If you lose your terminal, change password of online service accounts from PC or disable authentication so that Google Services such as Gmail, Google Play, and service such as SNS, etc. should not be used by others.
• For using services and applications provided by the third party's including the applications provided by Google LLC, conrm the terms and conditions specied by Google or the providers. DOCOMO assumes no responsibility for any malfunctions resulting from the services and applications.
• When terms of use appear, follow the onscreen instructions.
• The applications and services are subject to change without prior notice.
• This terminal does not support service providers other than sp-mode, mopera U or Business mopera Internet.
• For details such as usage charge, refer to NTT DOCOMO website.
• Even though the display on this terminal applies advanced technique, part of the dots may not light up as well as those always-on light. Please note that this is a feature of the display. It is not a malfunction.
Page 9
• An OLED display is used for this terminal. If the same image is displayed for a long time, an afterimage may appear, but it is not a malfunction. This is normal. To prevent an afterimage, avoid displaying the same image for a long time.
• If you set the display brighter than necessary, or use it for an extremely long time, part of the display may lose brightness or color may be changed. In addition, the color or brightness may look uneven, or the color may look changed. This is due to the mechanism of the OLED display and it is not a malfunction.
• DOCOMO does not guarantee any performances of the optional accessories you purchase at stores.

Charging

Battery Charge
• AC adapter 07 (optional) can be used from AC100 V to 240 V.
• For detailed information, refer to instruction manuals for AC Adapter 07.
• The shape of AC adapter plug is for AC 100 V (Japanese specication). A conversion plug adapter for the destination country is required when using an AC adapter compatible from AC 100 V to 240 V. Also do not use a transformer for overseas travel to charge.
• When this terminal is turned ON, you can operate this terminal even while charging. However, in that case, charging takes longer time because of reducing charging volume.
• Do not apply excessive force when inserting or pulling out the AC adapter Type-C plug. Insert or pull it out slowly.
• When charging with an entirely empty internal battery, it may take a while to power on this terminal.
• Make sure to remove the power plug of AC adapter from the outlet after nishing charging.
Preparations before Using
52
• When charging with unstable rated voltage, battery may not get charged or charging may fail.
• You can check the latest charger compatible with the terminal at the NTT DOCOMO Online Shop. https://onlineshop.smt.docomo.ne.jp/options/ search.html (in Japanese only)
For details about charging time or usage time,
• refer to "Main Specications" (P259).
Do not charge for a long time (for several days)
• If this terminal is left for a long time after being fully charged, the internal battery starts feeding this terminal when the charging is complete. For that reason, the actual battery time may shorten and the battery may be used up. If this happens, please charge it again correctly. Before recharging, remove this terminal from AC adapter and reset.
Page 55
Internal Battery Life
• The internal battery is a consumable accessory. The usage time decreases gradually each time the battery is charged.
• Watching video, etc. for a long time while charging may a󱐯ect internal battery life.
• When the usage time becomes about half of a new battery, life of the internal battery is assumed to be over. We recommend you to replace the internal battery ahead of time. For replacement of the internal battery, contact "Technical Inquiries & Repairs" (in Japanese only) on the back cover of this manual or DOCOMO specied repair o󱐰ce.
